Encantadora casa de campo completamente renovada, de cuatro dormitorios, unifamiliar, en el corazón de Destin. ¡La decoración encantadora de la playa complacerá a todos! Esta excelente casa cuenta con cuatro habitaciones, baños de dos cuartos y mucho más. Duerme hasta doce personas. Cocina totalmente equipada, lavandería en la cabaña y área de comedor separada.


Esta comunidad cerrada de Mainsail ofrece playas privadas de arena blanca en la costa del Golfo ... en la Costa Esmeralda. Camine hasta la playa: menos de 100 yardas SIN CAMINOS PARA CRUZAR. Se incluyen dos piscinas (una climatizada) con co-
piscinas para niños ubicadas. Servicio de playa para dos (sombrilla y dos sillas) a diario sin cargo adicional. Convenientemente ubicado con acceso a tiendas, restaurantes y lugares de entretenimiento a poca distancia. Tranquilo durante los meses de invierno para una escapada tranquila!

INFORMACIÓN ADICIONAL DE ALQUILER:
* Depósito y pago: la tarifa de limpieza de $ 150 se retendrá del depósito después de la salida. Depósito de $ 500 para bloquear el tiempo deseado, el pago total debe pagarse 60 días antes del check-in o el arrendatario pierde el depósito y el tiempo se desbloqueará. El depósito será devuelto después del check-out, salvo que no haya ocurrido ningún daño a la propiedad. Great house with all the amenities of a condo (grills, pool, beach chairs etc). Short walk to the beach and a nice back patio. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was clean. Would recommend for a beach getaway!

Had a great week! Comfortably housed 9 adults. House is well maintained and modern. Property is secure and beach access is perfect! Used pools, gym, and grills on the grounds as well. Highly recommend!

Condo was as advertised. Short walk to beach. Very nice place and would book again. Master bedroom mattress downstairs not very comfortable, could benefit from a new one. Overall great place.

Awesome Location!

The Drake Cottage is super convenient to everything including the beach! However, it is away from the heavy congestion of downtown Destin. The cottage was a perfect fit for our family and the proximity to the beach was awesome.

Spring Break

We had a wonderful time here. The property was beautiful and the pool wasn’t overcrowded. The beach access was a very short walk and the beach service for chairs was great. Whitest, cleanest, softest sand we’ve ever seen. The house was perfect for us and had all the amenities as described. The owner was extremely responsive and respectful. Would definitely come back hand stay here.

Hidden Gem

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The location within the complex is ideal -- centrally located between two pools, sets of grills, and a close walk to the beach. The cottage had plenty of room for all of our adults, with comfortable beds and all of the amenities of home. We enjoyed evenings on the large back patio -- so peaceful and comfortable. We would definitely reserve this cottage again when visiting Miramar Beach.

Amazing Beach trip

The house was perfect for our family of 9. Beds were comfy, location was perfect, house was cozy. The only thing I would suggest is be ready to purchase toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, spices, trash bags, shampoo and soap. However, we would definitely return again!

Pleasant stay.

Pleasant stay for our family with two little grandchildren. Close to the beach and walking distance to shopping center and grocery store. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking pots. The actual price is higher than what is advertised as it also includes other fees such as cleaning, service and tax.

Thank you Peter! Glad you had a great week! The fees are all clearly spelled out on the vrbo site. We do not collect any of the service fee, the cleaning is paid to the cleaning crew, and the taxes are paid to the county and state. Hope to have you back for a future visit!

Couldn’t Ask for Better

Our family vacation went off without a hitch! The cottage was very spacious! We had plenty of room to spread out with our families. The beach was a very easy walk across the parking lot and didn’t have to worry about climbing/descending stairs at all, my parents greatly appreciated this! Location was perfect, close to all things food and shopping! And we couldn’t have asked for a better host! He was available within a very short amount of time to answer any questions we had! Thank you again for sharing your home with us! We hope to book again next year!

Disappointed

This was a last minute rescheduling due to hurricane Sally, but based on the reviews on VRBO I had higher expectations. The location was not terrible, a short walk to the beach. We did have a complimentary beach chair and umbrella set up and the young man taking care of that was extremely kind and helpful. But the main complaints that both I, and my entire party, had were, #1 The thermostat is locked and will not cool below 72 degrees. It is warm and humid even in September and we were all hot throughout the night. My husband and I even ended up at Ace hardware purchasing electric fans for the upstairs bedrooms because no one could sleep with the temperature upstairs. #2 is the old, worn out, uncomfortable mattresses in all of the bedrooms. I was so embarrassed, because I was the one who had booked this property. But every single bed needs to be replaced. #3 The people that work in the security gate were very rude. They tried to tell us we couldn't have 4 vehicles for our rental, after the owner had already said that we could. #4 The stove heats up the entire downstairs area while cooking and the refrigerator doors don't close well. #5 Our group decided to go to the smaller pool to take our 2 yr grandson to swim. There had not been a single person at this pool for 2 days, but within 10 minutes of our family getting into the pool, 2 HOA members show up and watch our every move for about 30 minutes. One makes a phone call and then they both get up and leave the pool area. So I guess that we passed their inspection. One more thing, I noticed another review had said how incredibly clean the floors were, but that was not what we experienced. I honestly hate to leave bad reviews, but I DO read reviews and base my decision to rent a property based on other renters experiences. I am still wondering how the previous reviews were so extremely opposite of what we experienced. We all have different opinions, but I can honestly say that I would never stay here again.

Wow.. in 17 years we have never experienced such a guest... complaints before even arriving! I have never cancelled a reservation, but should have for this one!! The mattresses have all been replaced, the kitchen has had a complete makeover, including all new stainless steel appliances. Now even sure what to say about someone looking at them at the pool? Clearly this guest cannot be pleased. Please view our other reviews that speak the truth!!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. It is a nice house located very close to the beach. The living room, kitchen and dining area was spacious enough for us all. The air conditioner worked great, but was programmed to stay at 72 degrees. That temperature was okay for downstairs but was very uncomfortable upstairs. It made sleeping up there tough. There is a washer and dryer provided in the home, but the dryer took several cycles to actually get the clothes dry.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. I wish you would have reached out regarding the thermostat. It is a nest and the previous guests must have programmed it, as we do not put controls on the thermostat. The program was deleted as soon as we saw that it was on!

Wonderful four bedroom home. Very spacious for the 6 of us (4 adults two children). Primary bath nicely updated with a beautiful walk-in shower. Kitchen fully stocked with just about any cookware/utensil you could need. Nice patio with plenty of seating. Conveniently located between the two pools and a short walk to the beach. This was our third time renting this home.

The reason for my rating on price was due to constant construction that is ongoing at Mainsail that created disruption in getting from the home to the main pool and beach access. The movement of construction deliveries and debris pickup happened constantly during our week stay, 2nd week in June/2026 right next to the home. The unit offers no covered parking for you auto and the master bedroom closet is locked permanently as the owners closet. The host is very responsive and corrected an issue with the HVAC system with just one call. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk from the home. There is a beach wagon with the home that makes carry chairs a lot easier.

Location is key and this property hits the target. Short walk to the beach and shops needed such as Winn Dixie are right down the road. Chris was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Nothing negative to say about The Drake!

Great location and home

Very nice home with many updates. The master bathroom was very large and nice. The house was very close to beach as well as many places to shop. We Loved their was an Alvin’s Beach store and Dollar store within a 5 min walk, outlets were across the road. Also the kids loved how close Chick-fil-A was. When we go back to this area I would stay here again. The only problem was it was so beautiful we all got way to much sun.

Nice place, good value. Property owner was very responsive and flexible when we had a travel issue. We enjoyed that the complex had multiple pools, and we could walk to the beach without crossing a street.
