Dormitorio principal con cama queen; Segundo dormitorio con completo; Tercer dormitorio con 2 gemelos. Un sofá cama Queen y un futón en la sala de estar; Duerme hasta 8. Very cute and cozy cottage in great neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay. The home has all the essentials with a fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and 3 R’s fishing beach to take our pup for a walk. We definitely recommend staying here.

Just What We Needed for a Beach Cottage Stay

I love an old-time beach cottage, having had one in our family for over 70 years, and this cottage hit all the right notes. Fantastic location, dogs allowed, great outdoor shower, and all the necessary beach items and basic needs covered. It was blisteringly hot and humid during our stay (100 F) and the window units and ceiling fans worked fine to keep us cool. The only drawback was the master bedroom stayed extra damp and musty from the humidity in the A/C window unit. We used DampRid and other things to treat it, but it required a daily spray of Lysol in the A/C unit to get the smell out. This couldn’t be helped, I’m sure, as it was just so hot and humid and window units can only do so much. The owner was kind enough to check the units out and clean the filters to help.If you like the simplicity and basic charm of an older beach cottage, this is a great find. We hope to go back again soon.

Home away from home

Our stay was such a pleasurable experience. The hostess is very organized, easy to contact and meets and exceeds all needs and expectations. We’ve stayed at various rentals in the past and this is by far the BEST of them all! We absolutely will be staying here in the future.

Great place and location

Clean and comfortable cottage, well appointed only steps from a private beach. Nice quiet community right next to a state park. Very close to many restaurants and activities. A+ host. Would definatley consider renting again.

A great week at the beach!

Trudy's place was exactly what we were looking for: space for the four of us to spread out, work remotely, and enjoy the three minute walk to the beautiful private beach. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the "great room" was especially nicely decorated. The bathroom is a little tight and could use some updating, but all in all, we all agreed that we'd happily come back for another visit in the future.

Trudy's house is wonderful!

We had a wonderful stay. Trudy's place is simple but is charming and has everything you need. It's a very easy walk to the beach, and Trudy was very helpful.

Love the blue cottage

In early August, my family enjoyed a week at the cute, blue cottage in Bethany Beach. The six of us ranged in age from 1 year to 70+, and all were comfortable and accommodated. The house is furnished well, and the owner was quick to respond to our questions. Parking is ample (we had two cars and a truck). The short walk to the beach is as advertised--such a pleasure to be so close, especially with the baby. Thank you for a great rental experience!

Fantastic beach cottage

The house had all the amenities to make your stay complete. The owner was also easy to reach if you needed anything. The only thing that I would suggest is better mattresses.

Wonderful stay at the cottage

We had a great stay at the blue cottage and found it easy to settle in for our family. Proximity to the beach in a cute neighborhood was great and we appreciated all the extra beach toys and stuff on hand and the outdoor shower. The cottage is simple and clean and had cute decorations. Beds were comfortable. We also liked being close to a restaurant and walking there for dinner at night.

Cozy Cottage

Love this cottage! It's the perfect beach cottage. My family & I have vacationed here for many years. Love the location and the quaintness of the neighborhood. Since its family oriented, the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Owner is friendly, helpful, and receptive to any concerns you may have. I'm already looking forward to our next vacation this summer.

Simple comfy quaint cottage by the beach

Cottage was exactly as advertised- nothing fancy but worked just fine for my family of four. So glad we chose this rather than house in downtown Bethany or Rehoboth. Beach was so much less crowded and only a few steps away. Everything was in great working order and window units kept us plenty cool. Don’t forget to bring your own sheets and towels!

Lovely and cozy cabin steps to quiet family friendly beach

I came here with my two young children and my parents. We had a great time relaxing at the beach for the 3 days we were here, the cabin was a perfect distance for the kids to walk and carry their own sand toys. The cabin was well equipped with kitchen/washer/dryer. The puzzles were a huge plus for my 4 year old. I liked the window unit AC units because they served as sound machines for our early to bed kids. I hope we can return every summer, we also love the proximity to Bethany beach.

Great Place!

We have stayed here before. However, with the updates that Trudy did , it was even more special than the first time. This little blue cottage is an original ! Very nice and clean! Just a few steps from the beach and a short drive to everywhere and everything! The community is nice and quiet. But the cottage makes the most enjoyable experience. It is exactly what I consider a gem! Thank you Trudy for making everything nice.

Home away from Home

Let me start off by saying Trudy is absolutely Amazing. After Trudy found out my child was a 4 yr old they purposely took toys and puzzles of theirs to the cabin. Super Nice. She really goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfy. I have 0 complaints about our stay. Being houses away from a private beach and listening to the ocean waves at night was quite the treat. As mentioned, if you're looking for a high end home, this is not for you but has all basic needs and is clean. I personally always bring my own linens so that being a requirement was not an issue for us. Enjoy yourselves at a reasonable priced location with a super short walk to the beach.

Needs updates

Great location and communication with owner. Place is as described. Cottage has very uncomfortable spring mattresses that make noise with movement. Pillow toppers do not help. My guess is that they are old. The living room furniture is also uncomfortable and needs updated. Cottage has a musty odor. I would not recommend renting unless modifications have been made.

Great Two Weeks at the Beach!

This cottage was ideal. It was homey and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen was complete. The bathroom was nicely updated. Each bedroom and the main area have window air conditioners. Each room has a ceiling fan. There are two TVs. The beach, which is private to this neighborhood, is about three-quarters of a block away. The beach is clean and not crowded. Restaurants, shops, and a boardwalk are just a few minutes south in downtown Bethany Beach. A larger version is a little farther north in Rehoboth Beach. Outlet malls are located on Rte. 1 in Rohoboth. Ocean City, MD, is half an hour to the south. We checked these out, but we enjoyed ourselves best in the little blue cottage in the Tower Shores community. This is a traditional beach cottage set among stark, modern high-rises. It has a down home feel. We found it exactly what we wanted.

Thoughtful host and it showed

Having stayed at VRBO properties an average of 3X/year over the last decade, I can confidently say that Trudy made extra efforts to make her guests comfortable. Examples: a basket of in case you forgot items, a welcome gift, early afternoon check-in time, coffee/tea creamer basket, paper goods, even a shelf area added between the sink counter and shower wall which allowed for space to put toiletries. Since she lives around the corner, I assume she doesn't stay in this house, so those efforts were for her guests, solely. The walk to the beach was short, we didn't mind it at all (and we usually stay oceanfront.) The house was very clean. The wall a/c units had no problem cooling the house, so don't be concerned that there is no central air. The only downsides were a shower that may be too small for a very tall or wide person. The couches are also not extremely comfortable, but were like most rentals that get a lot of use. Neither of these issues would cause us to not return. We would happily.

We vacationed in this small (Tower Shores) community many years ago & totally fell in love with it's unique charm and GORGEOUS private beach. Over the past 13 years, we managed a summer rental here, and have consistently strived for our guests to fall in love with this area
(and our cottage) too! :)

There are currently very few 60's style single family homes within the Bethany area - especially one so close to a private beach! Enjoy having your own front & back yards here, lined with trees for relaxing privacy. Our growing list of returning guests say this cottage is charming, comfortable & clean. While the house is old, it is also very loved by it's local owners, and we constantly find ways to improve it's comfort, contents & charm.
