This is such a cute beach cottage. Clean and well appointed. My dog loved it great for walking, biking & dining in the area is out standing. The beach is private and a two minute walk. We had a very relaxing week?Thanks Trudy you were fast to return communications and made sure we had everything we needed to have a great vacation.

Location is excellent between Lewes/Rehobeth 10-12 minutes to the north and Bethany/Fenwick the same distance to the south. And the beautiful quiet beach at the end of the block!

The host thought of every detail. Access to the beach was so easy. The restaurant, Matt's Fish Camp, just steps away was wonderful. The cottage is charming and well appointed.

The blue cottage home is just adorable. Very clean and well appointed. We loved the close proximity to the beach and Bethany Restaurant's. Tower Shores is a safe, quiet friendly neighborhood. We very much enjoyed our stay. Trudy our host, was very helpful and prompt to any question that we had. We will most definitely be returning!

Very cute and cozy cottage in great neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay. The home has all the essentials with a fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and 3 R’s fishing beach to take our pup for a walk. We definitely recommend staying here.

Just What We Needed for a Beach Cottage Stay

I love an old-time beach cottage, having had one in our family for over 70 years, and this cottage hit all the right notes. Fantastic location, dogs allowed, great outdoor shower, and all the necessary beach items and basic needs covered. It was blisteringly hot and humid during our stay (100 F) and the window units and ceiling fans worked fine to keep us cool. The only drawback was the master bedroom stayed extra damp and musty from the humidity in the A/C window unit. We used DampRid and other things to treat it, but it required a daily spray of Lysol in the A/C unit to get the smell out. This couldn’t be helped, I’m sure, as it was just so hot and humid and window units can only do so much. The owner was kind enough to check the units out and clean the filters to help.If you like the simplicity and basic charm of an older beach cottage, this is a great find. We hope to go back again soon.

Home away from home

Our stay was such a pleasurable experience. The hostess is very organized, easy to contact and meets and exceeds all needs and expectations. We’ve stayed at various rentals in the past and this is by far the BEST of them all! We absolutely will be staying here in the future.

A great week at the beach!

Trudy's place was exactly what we were looking for: space for the four of us to spread out, work remotely, and enjoy the three minute walk to the beautiful private beach. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the "great room" was especially nicely decorated. The bathroom is a little tight and could use some updating, but all in all, we all agreed that we'd happily come back for another visit in the future.

Love the blue cottage

In early August, my family enjoyed a week at the cute, blue cottage in Bethany Beach. The six of us ranged in age from 1 year to 70+, and all were comfortable and accommodated. The house is furnished well, and the owner was quick to respond to our questions. Parking is ample (we had two cars and a truck). The short walk to the beach is as advertised--such a pleasure to be so close, especially with the baby. Thank you for a great rental experience!

Great place and location

Clean and comfortable cottage, well appointed only steps from a private beach. Nice quiet community right next to a state park. Very close to many restaurants and activities. A+ host. Would definatley consider renting again.

Fantastic beach cottage

The house had all the amenities to make your stay complete. The owner was also easy to reach if you needed anything. The only thing that I would suggest is better mattresses.

Great Place!

We have stayed here before. However, with the updates that Trudy did , it was even more special than the first time. This little blue cottage is an original ! Very nice and clean! Just a few steps from the beach and a short drive to everywhere and everything! The community is nice and quiet. But the cottage makes the most enjoyable experience. It is exactly what I consider a gem! Thank you Trudy for making everything nice.

The adorable blue cottage is a great place for a family vacation!

Trudy is an excellent host. She even provided the necessities of toilet paper, tide pods, dish detergents, garbage bags, and paper towels! The cottage is perfect sized, comfy, and adorably decorated. We got a lot of use out of the relaxing screen porches. The short distance to the beach is very convenient. We'll definitely be staying here again.

North Bethany Cottage Tower Shores

We loved staying at this blue cottage in Tower Shores, it is a very cute and old fashioned beach house that is close to a great beach— and had plenty of space and porches for us to enjoy. Lots of parking as well.

Thoughtful host and it showed

Having stayed at VRBO properties an average of 3X/year over the last decade, I can confidently say that Trudy made extra efforts to make her guests comfortable. Examples: a basket of in case you forgot items, a welcome gift, early afternoon check-in time, coffee/tea creamer basket, paper goods, even a shelf area added between the sink counter and shower wall which allowed for space to put toiletries. Since she lives around the corner, I assume she doesn't stay in this house, so those efforts were for her guests, solely. The walk to the beach was short, we didn't mind it at all (and we usually stay oceanfront.) The house was very clean. The wall a/c units had no problem cooling the house, so don't be concerned that there is no central air. The only downsides were a shower that may be too small for a very tall or wide person. The couches are also not extremely comfortable, but were like most rentals that get a lot of use. Neither of these issues would cause us to not return. We would happily.

Needs updates

Great location and communication with owner. Place is as described. Cottage has very uncomfortable spring mattresses that make noise with movement. Pillow toppers do not help. My guess is that they are old. The living room furniture is also uncomfortable and needs updated. Cottage has a musty odor. I would not recommend renting unless modifications have been made.

Quiet and family friendly

Trudy has thoughtfully stocked the kitchen with all the dishes, cookware and gadgets you mitt need in your stay. There are also beach themed DVD movies, puzzles, and games. Even though the house is a small cottage, the two screened in porches make the space feel larger. We liked eating at the picnic table on one of the porches. Trudy was fast and responsive with communication during our stay.

We vacationed in this small (Tower Shores) community many years ago & totally fell in love with it's unique charm and GORGEOUS private beach. Over the past 13 years, we managed a summer rental here, and have consistently strived for our guests to fall in love with this area
(and our cottage) too! :)

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

There are currently very few 60's style single family homes within the Bethany area - especially one so close to a private beach! Enjoy having your own front & back yards here, lined with trees for relaxing privacy. Our growing list of returning guests say this cottage is charming, comfortable & clean. While the house is old, it is also very loved by it's local owners, and we constantly find ways to improve it's comfort, contents & charm.
