Aqua Gem se completó en 1999, y al igual que su vecino casi idéntico, Ocean Pearl, se encuentra justo encima del Westin Resort, con vistas a las aguas turquesas de la Bahía Great Cruz. La casa está orientada al sur-suroeste y recibe sol todo el día junto a la piscina. La vista pintoresca incluye las islas de Little y Great St James y el extremo sur de St. Thomas, además de las aguas cristalinas de Great Cruz Bay y el Caribe, así como las vistas de las puestas de sol ardientes y las luces de las islas distantes por la noche.

Esta es una ubicación muy conveniente que está a menos de cinco minutos en automóvil de los restaurantes, bares de playa, tiendas de comestibles y tiendas en la encantadora ciudad de Cruz Bay. También está a solo 5 minutos a pie de los restaurantes, spa, playa y parada de taxis en el Westin Resort, por lo que esta es una de las pocas villas que ofrecemos donde podría pasar sin un jeep, pero le recomendamos que alquile un jeep

Aqua Gem Stay

We enjoyed our week at Aqua Gem in St. John. Aqua Gem was pretty. We loved the 2nd floor balcony, the pool, the view of the pool from the bedrooms. It was nice with the fresh air flowing through the windows and upstairs sliding doors. We slept comfortable and had things we needed throughout our stay. We did have to contact someone about a leak in the bedroom air conditioner, a leak in a downstairs bathroom shower, the washing machine outside wouldn’t work at first, and then the stove would not work. When we called to report these things, they sent someone right out. The washing machine and the air condtioner started working better but the oven and the shower continued to have problems. We still had a great time on vacation and Aqua Gem was still a nice place for us to stay.

The bathrooms and pool shower need a good cleaning. Hair left on shower floor, dust around vanity edge and base boards. I had to clean toilet seat and sink in bathroom adjourned to pool shower. Need to mop floor upstairs. Hair on and behind couch cushions. Need new AAA batteries for the air conditioner remote. However, your place was beautiful and I will be recommending to my family. Beach towels, beach chairs, and laundry room was great. By the way, the black water hose needs to be replaced. There is a large leak near faucet. String on pool canopy broke during the tropical storm winds Friday morning. It was not long enough for us to reattach to the railing. Thank you very much!! Hope to come back soon!

Adorable villa in a convenient location

Aqua Gem was perfect for our girls trip. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking utensils needed. The beds were very comfy, and the bedrooms were right off the pool deck. Parking is a bit tight, but our four door Jeep was able to fit and turn around ok. Overall this villa is adorable and we would definitely rent it again!

This place was awesome.

Perfect location. A lot of places on the island share a pool. Not this place. All yours. Super clean and spacious. I'd definitely stay here again.

Location

Home is close to the town of Cruz Bay. Not for small children given the spiral staircase. No air conditioning on main floor. It was nice to have a small pool.

Accommodations were as advertised...

3 of us stayed here in early January, 2017... had everything we needed, it's not what I would call a fancy place, but the beds were very comfortable, the pool was clean and in good order, the kitchen had all we needed... didn't cook much, and it was fairly close to town, so in and out for dinner, shopping or the ferry was fine. While technically you can see the water from the upper deck, it’s not what I would call a place with a view… that being said, we didn’t care… we have plenty of other memories of the amazing views on the island. The place next door, a twin to this building and we’re not sure if it is a rental or not with the same company, seemed to have a better view. The towels in the bathroom were great too! (It’s the little things sometimes… right?) There is a spiral staircase inside for accessing top to bottom floors. This could be difficult for some. It has a cooler and beach chairs, and beach towels… the cooler was the only slight disappointment… funny story, we went to the beach with said cooler… I returned from the ocean and was confused when I saw our towels and things, but a yellow not blue cooler sitting there… I told my friend who was just arriving back also, “I would have sworn that was a blue cooler!” She said, “It was!”. We found the blue covering of the cooler up the beach by the way from the car… it had fallen apart… no biggie, but it would be great if it were a “one piece” cooler… lol… The top floor French doors all open with screens and the breeze is great. The screens however, could use some mending. Again, all in all, I think it was fine. OH! Almost forgot, check the cupboard above the coffee pot… it has a lock on it, but it isn’t locked and has some coffee filters as well as salt and pepper, etc. We didn’t check it because we saw the lock and wound up purchasing a few small items we didn’t necessarily need… although that first morning when I made coffee with paper towel filter, having one of the filters just inside that door would have been cool… lol… meh… we managed to get by!

Comfortable and conveniently located!

We chartered boat trips 4 out of the 6 days we were there so the accommodations met our needs. We wanted an affordable and comfortable villa for 4 people. The beds were very comfortable and the location was extremely convenient for meeting our charters and eating out in the evening. The spiral staircase is challenging but the outside stairs are a good option.
