Low price for a reason

The AC was cold and the views are wonderful. This unit is in serious need of a facelift. It has good bones, but needs to be updated. The furniture is a multi generation hodgepodge. The pressboard and chicken wire doors on the armoire and the stained wicker were just the icing on the cake. The kitchen is function, but bring everything. Paper towels, coffee filters, can opener, blender if you’re being bougie.

SurfMaster stay

Based on the pictures of the property, it looked exactly what I was looking for. We took my 84 year mother in law with us and was drawn to the fact that the condo had a nice looking recliner which made my mother in law because she is not very mobile. Well the recliner is broke to the point that if you were to sit in it you would fall over. So my mother in law was NOT happy. Also there is massive amounts of black mold under the cabinets in the kitchen. If taking children or elderly, keep that in mind. Had I known the mold was so bad and the recliner was broken…most definitely would not have stayed. Only thing owner said was a new chair has been ordered. It never came during our stay. The accommodations are NOT worth the price you will pay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is absolutely perfect! The unit is a great size to accommodate a family. The walk to the beach is short! The balcony was shaded all day and so enjoyable. This unit does need some updating. The ceiling was breaking off in several areas and we would have to clean up that mess daily. The freezer made a loud noise everytime the ice maker was producing ice. Overall we were so pleased with the unit but the parking with any over sized vehicle (other than a small car) was an absolute bear to park! The spots were tight and the backing up space was not enough....kinda tight with our GMC truck but managed because we would back into our spot and never pulled in. This area of the beach is not crowded at all and the location for going out was not overly busy. The price was cheaper than most in the area so we Highly recommend!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The blind at the front door was torn at the bottom. The blind in the guest bedroom was torn & had to pin a sheet up to keep the light out & for privacy. The guest bedroom closet smelled like cat pee & a piece of carpet was standing in the corner. The chest if u could call them that in the guest bedroom looked like a cat/dog had clawed them to pieces. The kitchen ceiling was peeling, wallpaper peeling on wall by fridge, dishes & silverware were dirty & the water pipes made & awful noise when u trun the water on at the sink. The ceiling was peeling in the living room as well & a leather recliner in there looked like a cat/dog had chewed on it. The master bedroom blind had pieces missing from it & didn't work, had to pin a sheet up there as well to block the light, night stands in the master bedroom didn't match & one of them was wicker & looked like it had been gotten out of the dump it was so torn up in the front & the dresser/closet looked like it was about to fall apart. The carpet looked matted as if they had tried to clean it & didn't get all the water out of it. The pool gate code they emailed me was wrong & luckily the HOA seen me trying to get in & offered to help & gave me the right code. The only good thing I could say about it was that the toilets were clean...For $2,300 for a 7 night stay, we expected a lot NICER & CLEANER condo...I WILL NOT BE RENTING FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN...NEVER!!

Cleanliness/furniture

Appliances dirty. Dishes dirty. Floor boards dirty blinds broken not able close or move them balcony chairs cracked hard to sit when being pinched. Master bed under side dry rotted and debri covering floor bathroom ceiling appeared to have mold issues cabinet and drawers had food crumbs galore.

Clean Beachfront condo on Garden City

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. It’s clean and comfortable. From the 5th floor, The view to the beach it’s beautiful. As a side note, we did have to go to another building to check in and pick up the keys. The building was just 1 minute down the road. Not a big deal.

What a beach view from this Condo.

This location is excellent for families who will enjoy breath taking beach view. I would recommend this to anyone who would enjoy the beach. You have everything near by food and attractions. Only thing I would recommend management team to do is is to clean the dust from lamps and put new power outlets, otherwise you can not go wrong with this property. We loved this awesome place.

It was raining and dark and they first tried the key for one building, only to find out, after we had unloaded the car and taken everything up the elevator, that we were in another building.

Don't stay here!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the moment you enter, you are hit with the smell of stale cigarette smoke. As you go from room to room there are multiple burns on the carpets, sinks, tubs, furniture and bedding. The carpets are badly stained. Everything is worn and outdated. The master bedroom spread is burned in several places and thread bare in others. The kitchen things are in need of replacement as well. Plastic glasses are stained and melted. Do not walk around barefoot unless you want your feet to turn black. We were so disappointed as this is the worst place we ever stayed. Since it is the only unit in Surfmaster rented by this off-site management company, they were unable to exchange it for us. This unit should not be rented until it is renovated.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The stay was ok. Check-in was at a different resort and parking was bad at both places for the entire week. We were given a parking tag to hang on the mirror that was out of date or either for another place. We received several notices that our vehicle would be towed and had to return to the other resort to get another parking tag. There was not a lot of information given as to basic information. What needed to be done on departure (what needed to be cleaned, etc), what to do if you wanted any extra amenities, like chair and umbrella service for the beach. The floor plan was good and there was plenty of room inside the condo. There were a couple of things that needed to be repaired and/or updated. The toilet ran in one of the bathrooms and the plastic piece on the faucet was broken on the sink. One of the reasons we chose this condo was for the view of the fireworks for July 4th at the piers. We were able to see the fireworks from there and the view of the ocean was really nice. Aside from the fireworks, that were randomly shot throughout the week, noise was very minimal.
