Ubicado en el codiciado extremo sur de la isla, el Sunset Lodge ofrece vistas al océano y un muelle privado a pocos pasos de la puerta de entrada para pescar cangrejos. Esta de cuatro habitaciones frente al mar tiene dos porches laterales con vista al mar y al arroyo que brindan maravillosas vistas. El plano interior dividido ofrece dos dormitorios y un baño a cada lado de la sala de estar, comedor y cocina. Un dormitorio ofrece dos camas queen y comparte un baño con un dormitorio con dos literas. Los otros dos dormitorios tienen una reina y comparten un baño. Las comodidades adicionales incluyen wifi, televisión por cable, lavaplatos, lavadora / secadora, ventiladores de techo en toda la casa, proyectados en los porches tanto en el lado del arroyo como en el océano, ducha exterior fría / caliente, hamaca debajo de la casa, estacionamiento pavimentado y muelle flotante privado.

Great time for our family, first time at the Lodge and first time with Tidelife rentals...although we have vacationed on PI for over 40 years.The house was a perfect size. Loved the porches, access to the beach and creek with limited stairs. Underneath great, too although a few available, stackable plastic chairs would be good. Kitchen small, but we knew this and made it work. (4 - adults, 3 children, and nummerous family members visiting) Stocked well with the exception of crab tongs (crabbing was very good). We donated a pair to the drawer after we had our first crab pinch EVER! Reserved for next year. Would like 1 more twin bed/daybed, but I don't know where it could be located. Thank you Tidelands.p.s. I could live on your office porch and inside. Silly video, but did make me laugh and it was informative.

Originally it was linked with another rental management company when we started staying there. We were wary at first about dealing with a new company but we’re soon pleased. Tide life has been great to work with. This property is well maintained and has a wonderful location. It’s nothing fancy and exactly what our family needs. My only complaint/concern is the drastic increase in weekly rate from year to year. It doesn’t really correlate with inflation or cost of living, it’s a bit inflated. I pray we don’t get prices out of our week long paradise.

Sunset Lodge

We had a nice two weeks at Sunset Lodge. The cottage is in a great location, about 10 houses down from the south end of the developed part of the island. There is another ¼ to ½ mile of beautiful, undeveloped beach on the south end. The views from both the east and west (front and back) sides of the cottage are gorgeous—the ocean to the east and the creek to the west. There are screened in porches with dining tables on both sides. There is a nice dock on the creek, plus a small beach that makes it easy for launching a kayak. The living area of the cottage is very comfortable, plus there is a nice big dining table for doing large jigsaw puzzles (with room left over for eating, if needed). The kitchen is well equipped—although it could benefit from a new skillet. The beds are also very comfortable. There were just the two of us staying there. The cottage could fairly easily accommodate another couple; but it would be pretty cozy with more people staying, despite the four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms (each with a single sink). Also, there are closets in only two of the bedrooms, and neither of them has much space for hanging clothes, as they are used for storage of odds and ends (Christmas decorations, an extra lamp, an empty box for the coffee maker, etc.). There are only three comfortable (i.e., with cushions) rocking chairs in the screened-in porch that faces the ocean—plenty for just the two of us, but obviously not enough if more than one couple wants to sit on the porch at the same time. The furniture on the outdoor decks (front and back) is a hodgepodge of old and worn wooden and plastic chairs. (One of the plastic chairs actually has a broken slat and should probably be removed.) Please note that in some cases, the photos on VRBO are outdated—the porch no longer has the pictured wicker armchairs, nor the hammock. (The hammock is now located under the house, which seems an odd place for relaxing--no view or sea breeze, and near the air conditioning unit.) Also, the grill in the photos on VRBO is not normally provided, although when asked, TideLife did provide us with one. (Thanks!) Many of these issues are things that could be easily fixed. in sum, we would rent Sunset again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pawleys. Location was perfect for us. Peaceful and relaxing with stunning views. Beach has been built up with protective dunes that was not reflected in the current pictures of the house on the website. Overall great experience and would visit again.

With the creek in your front yard and the beach for your back yard, you never get bored and there is beauty all around.
