Waterfall Gorge-ous Home w 200+ feet of river frontage -10 mi to Lake George

The house and property are as described and pictured in the listing - 380 feet of direct Hudson River rocky tiered (3) frontage in the Rockwell Falls Gorge! Waterfall Gorge-ous is a unique waterfront suitable to adventure seeking guests who are able to walk down a slightly hilly short path then navigate 5 rocky steps. Some cannot. Some won’t. I can tell you it’s worth the effort if you can! But please read the listing and don’t book if you’re not able or unwilling to try. You’ll be dissatisfied with this property if you don’t spend time enjoying this unique and amazing waterfront! A house across the street is tired and VACANT. Nothing to worry about while the town sorts out the property with its owners. We cannot control properties around us and you’re not renting those anyway. One of the lawn swings will be replaced end of this season with Adirondack chairs - but again, lots of options for outdoor seating. The rocky waterfront has four recliners to relax in and enjoy the soothing sounds of the confluence of the Hudson and Sacandaga Rivers. Adventure and Waterfall Seekers - your adventure awaits!

Tiffany- Glad you enjoyed your stay and whitewater kayaking at Waterfall Gorgeous! The area does have some of the best whitewater in New York State! For those less adventurous, there are guided rafting trips and slow river tubing, and of course the view from the property waterfront is unique and breathtaking. Yes, the house is older, but has a brand new bathroom, and has been completely painted throughout. Glad you enjoyed your stay at Waterfall Gorge-ous! The waterfront IS the bomb, glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for your feedback regarding the porches- We have worked on the upstairs porch, and have created a nice spot with patio furniture and cascading / "waterfall" twinkle lights to relax up there off the queen bedroom! Pictures will be uploaded soon! The front downstairs porch does get very hot, and is very close to the road, so we really didn't anticipate guests wanting to hang out in there, when the back deck has the view of the riverfront. We have placed a few chairs in there and moved garbage cans to the shed, so you could relax in there comfortably as well. Thanks again for the feedback, come back to see the changes...Waterfall Gorgeous and the Lake Luzerne/Lake George area is especially gorge-ous in autumn!!

Sharon- So glad you were able to enjoy the Waterfall Gorgeous property. The property does have a nice firepit on two levels- but the real gem is the 385 feet of gorge river frontage! The listing does note that this property is best for active adults, and those with mobility issues may nit be able to comfortably access the waterfront. All bedrooms are on the second floor- and the steep (but railed) stairs should be okay for most individuals. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans (brand new) /utensils and place settings. There was a lobsterpot! It is in the large cabinet to the right of the refrigerator, because it doesn't fit in other cabinets. I'm available via text, phone or email for any question guests have about the property and amenities. Pantry items are not left in the rental after checkout due to cleanliness issues. This is stated in the checkin email and checkout instructions. An initial supply of paper products and soaps are provided. Most guests prefer an empty and clean refrigerator and cabinets. Luzerne market is conveniently located a short walk away for any additional specific needs.

Glad you enjoyed your stay and the incredible view at Waterfall Gorgeous. I apologize that the ice maker was not working during your stay. I do ask that guests report any malfunctions immediately, to allow me the opportunity to correct them so that they don't negatively impact your stay or subsequent guests' experience. There just isn't insufficient time between guests to test every appliance, and the ice maker may just have needed a change of filter. The prior guests did not report that it wasn't working, and I'm sorry that impacted your stay. I certainly would have tried a replacement filter, or brought over a bag of ice for you if you had let me know. I do send a followup email the first morning of guests' stays, to make sure that all is meeting or exceeding your expectations. I respond to requests for more towels, or maintenance issues promptly. Regarding pillows. many travelers bring their own personal pillow, to ensure complete comfort. There were 7 pillows in the home for 4 guests, and 6 towels for 4 guests. Again, I respond quickly to requests for additional items to ensure my guests' have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Regarding the stairs, the property is listed with all bedrooms on the second floor. Because of the trail down to the rocky waterfront, it also notes that it is best suited for active individuals without mobility issues. I do manage a few other rentals in the area with either single floor layouts, or bedrooms on the first floor. Not sure if there is a way to select a property with single level thru vrbo, but if not, I believe the listing indicates what floor the bedrooms are on, or you could include that in your inquiry prior booking.

The property boasts 380 feet of private river frontage - in the gorge of Rockwell Falls! As the listing states, the BEST view of the waterfall is in the back yard, a short walk down to the flat rocks, and best for adventurous guests who are not mobility challenged. The river can also be seen from the back deck outside the kitchen, and two higher firepit / tier areas, as well as from the master bedroom and kitchen areas - especially in fall! You certainly can't see it if you're focused on the road in front or neighboring houses...The road is one of the "busiest" in Lake Luzerne, but most guests don't consider it busy or overly busy- they spend their time "on the rocks" or in the back yard enjoying the views of the gorge, and enjoying their families and friends. At no additional cost, I had extended a four hour early arrival because the weather was almost 60 degrees and sunny in October - the perfect day to be on the rocks, relaxing and enjoying the view! Within an hour of arrival, this guest called me complaining, criticizing and insulting the neighboring properties, and the town, without having ventured down to see the river frontage- the main attraction! I encouraged her to checkout the backyard and waterfall gorge and call me back before deciding if she wanted to stay. Many hours went by, and no response. I texted her to ask if they had made a decision to stay or not, because I became concerned about possible retaliation due to no refund extended. I received a text complaining of a dead fly and lady bugs inside the property, and stating that they were staying only because I would not extend a refund. I explained that I could not refund because the property is as listed, and pictures are provided, and not misleading. I reminded this guest that they were only renting the Waterfall Gorge-ous property, and ensured them that the neighbors have never been a concern with any previous guests, myself as manager, or the owner. I asked to meet with her at the property to address her complaint of ladybugs, and ensure they were able to stay and try to enjoy the property without damage. Advice to this guest and future guests: Waterfall Gorge-ous is best enjoyed by adventurous guests who want to experience a Waterfall location minus the usual 4 plus hour hike! It's literally in the BACKYARD. Can't move a waterfall- nor do we need to- because it's in the BACKYARD. Go With The Flow! Roar with Excitement! Let your Cares fall Away! Immerse yourself in Nature!
