The Salty Quacker is in prime location. Within walking distance to “Downtown Duck”, with outstanding restaurants, grocery, and shopping. An easy walk to the community private beach access and the community pool.

With 6 bedrooms and 3 baths, you will have plenty of room to relax and stretch out after a full day in the sun, then grill your favorite seafood, and play a round, or two, of pool.

Your family will make many memories of the Outer Banks at this lovely home!

No smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, or similar in the house or the sunroom. No charging of golf carts or electric vehicles is allowed on property.

The family was thrilled to be able to walk to beach and in town and to Duck boardwalk. The house hit all the right notes. We had a great time. Everything we needed was there.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was clean and in good shape. Our only suggestion would be a second full size refrigerator downstairs for beverages. There is a small one but it was not working. Also the house is pet friendly but there is not much area in the yard where we could walk our dogs.

Plenty of accommodation for 14 to sleep comfortably. Convenient location to walk to beach. Landscaping could use some TLC. Minimal grass for a pet friendly home. Outside lights did not work for yard. Kitchen pans could use some updating as well.

Great house

We very much enjoyed this house. Most important to us is that the house be clean and it was.It had everything we needed and the pool table was a plus. Lots of fun! I have only one complaint- you can’t get through a 10 minute shower without running out of hot water. A house with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms obviously needs a larger hot water heater.

Lovely House in Perfect Location

This was a wonderful property in absolutely the best location for me, my husband, and our two dogs. It was about a .3 mile walk to the pool and private access to the beach to the east and .25 mile walk to the sound to the east. Restaurants and shops were an easy walk, with the closest shopping and dining area around .3 miles! The house was very comfortable. Big kitchen with everything you need, several bedrooms on the main floor, lots of outdoor seating options as well as a sunroom. The management company was great. They got back to me almost immediately after I messaged them about an issue, which was quickly resolved. I would absolutely stay here again.

Easy walk to beach, endless beach fun. House has two bikes, even have locks with them. We really enjoy the morning bike ride . Over all, I will recommend this house to my friends.

Great Family Vacation Property

Lots of room and convenient to beach, tennis courts, and pool. The game room was a nice bonus. A great, dog friendly property for our vacation in Duck!

The house was in great condition and clean albeit a bit on the older side. It still had everything we needed and was in a great location. It was walking distance from shops and the beach/pool too. It had great views from the sunroom and great balcony options to relax and enjoy the views.

Great stay except linens

We had a great stay except for linens - which we paid extra for. The property was a great location, nice house, good space for extended family. Enjoyed the pool table, the community pool and the close proximity to shops - walking distance. Unfortunately, upon arrival the linens were in a bin outside, they were in a pile in the bin not in any order and not really clear if clean or not l, a couple of sheets appeared dirty. They were not individually wrapped or marked as to sizes for each room. We had to figure it out. The towels were also in A pile in a separate bin, not folded, questionable whether or not they were clean - all of whech seemed a little damp. We also found a used unwashed sock in the linen container. Because we were asked to leave linens in the bin outside the house after use. I truly question if they were clean. The water pressure to the outside hose is was very low, and the upstairs showers get luke warm, definitely not hot. The rest of the property was adequately cleaned. We did not let the linens ruin our experience- we worked around it. I hope that others in the future will have a better experience.

Great location!

We loved the location of the property and the walkable access to town and the beach. The house was not precious and perfect for our group of teens. It could def do with an upgrade but was exactly as photographed.

Big group of 12 stayed for Fourth of July week and very much enjoyed our time together. Living room, closed in porch and back open deck with big table were awesome. Having to go through bedrooms to access upstairs bathrooms was a little odd, but we worked it out. Great stay all in all.

Reviewer Comments: Our family ( 6 adults and 4 teenagers) recently rented the Salty Quacker in Duck, NC. We felt the residence is as described and we enjoyed the layout. The open concept was great for hanging out together and everyone had plenty of room to find their own space when needed. Despite being a bit dated, the house had all amenities needed for a weeks stay and we felt like we were home. We were however a bit disappointed at the lack of basketball hoops and court as was advertised , part of our decision to stay here was the fact that our kids could play basketball all week which was not possible. They also could upgrade with some larger toilets, the small bases can be challenging at times. All in all it was a great week and we all enjoyed our stay.

Good times for a wide variety of family members

The variety of spaces in the house offered us the opportunity to spread out, engage differently at times and gather together other times. The activities of beaches and pool, and near by shopping were very conveinient.
