Fantastic friend getaway and Island Realty is A+

Answered all our questions ahead of time (including little things like what type of Coffeemaker!). The property was great, location walk to beach and restaurants and plenty of parking too. So easy that beds were made and bath towels provided. Upper deck furniture needed to be cleaned to be used.

Perfect location!

The house was only steps away from many restaurants, bars and the beach. Very clean, easy process with check-in and check-out, will definitely be coming back!

We had a great time staying at this property over the week of July 4. It’s right in the mix of things and was a perfect place to view the IOP firework display and walk over to the golf cart parade. It is loud at night during the summer because all of the close live music, so that’s something to consider if you have little kids. Having the pool there is great, and while the house is starting to get a little dated in some ways, it’s still a wonderful spot close to the beach and easy walking to everywhere else.

Priceless Getaway with Family & Friends

Thought the weather was not on our side, this house provided the room and comfort for three families, the convenience of the perfect location across from the Windjammer and the beach, and the opportunity for a unforgettable Easter weekend--memories that will last a lifetime. We loved it!

Stay at Ocean 1001

There was a funky smell at the top of the outdoor stairs that grew stronger over the weekend - not sure what it was but may have just been the timing of our stay

Spring break getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was absolutely perfect, from the location, furnishings, decor, balconies and roof top deck! I would highly recommend this house and would definitely stay here again! If I had one criticism, it would be the TVs could be updated. The cost of the rental is pretty steep, so you would think they could spend $300 on a new smart tv for the master bedroom instead of the old tube tv that is in there.

4 Night Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an awesome time. Rooms were spacious and nice. Location was perfect! There could have been more stocked items though. Toilet paper was almost out. Paper towels, garbage bags, laundry detergent, etc had to be purchased by us. Also, no beach towels and when traveling via plane to get somewhere you don’t want to pack a beach towel to take up room.

Each bathroom comes stocked with two rolls of toilet paper, and the kitchen comes prepped with one roll of paper towel and 3 garbage bags. We do ask our guests to plan to purchase additional as needed. With that said, should you be short one item, we encourage you to stop by our front desk during business hours and we would be happy to help!

Desert storm reunion

LR tv required us to lift heads 180 degrees to see screen. Location is perfect. An elevator would have been nice as we are all over 60. All of these issues were minor. We would love to rent again if any of these issues can be addressed.

Perfect house right downtown Isle of Palms!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the most pleasant experience staying at Ocean 1001. The house is very cute, spacious and clean. Island realty was very easy to work with. If we had any questions, they were quick to respond and help us out! House is equipped with keurig, regular coffee and blender, plus laundry. We also enjoyed the multiple patios! You can see the water from them! The near-by area is very fun - fun restaurants to check out (we tried Lawerence and Coconut Joes!) and had fun at the Windjammer right across the street. Plenty of beach access areas nearby, and the beach was beautiful!

Great spot for girls trip

We stayed at this house for a college girls trip (all guests in their 50’s). We had 10 people which worked out great for us to not have to use the top bunk beds. The house was great! Loved the kitchen and sitting area, especially the covered porch off the kitchen. It was too hot to sit on the sun deck but that looked great too! Loved the location so close to the beach. First night there was a large tour bus parked out front which wasn’t aesthetically pleasing but was fine. This house might be difficult for a family with little kids who can’t sleep with the noise from the bar across the street. We loved it for our purposes. House was clean and ready an hour early. Only thing was there was some opened food in the pantry left behind from previous people which felt kind of gross to us (chips, pie, cookies). Communication with realty company was excellent. Would love to stay here again!

Good Beach Week

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very nice, and functional for our group of 8 people. I would not recommend the house for a larger group, as the main living area would not, in my opinion, comfortably accommodate a group of 12. In addition, the bedroom with the bunk beds was not usable, do to being several degrees warmer than the rest of the house.The furniture in the master bedroom was not very functional for holding clothes. The dresser had drawers that fell in when they were opened. So, we lived out of our suitcases for the week.The TV in the main living area was extremely finicky - hard to change channels.

Home away from home...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived at our vacation destination to find a lovely house for our stay. Although the great proximity to the beach, there were some downfalls. The house is lovely, in nice condition, but had lots of trouble with the icemaker and one of the dishwasher. The most concerning was the garbage(recyclables)full and all over the grounds. After several attempts to have them removed, we were told to just use the trash can. It is a rather large house that accommodates 12 plus people and to never have the use of the can was annoying. The management group was friendly and tried to accommodate our request, but never really handled it.

House Picture is Best Part

Reviewer Comments: We had 6 adults and 6 children ages 7 and under.Positives: spacious garage, outdoor shower with hot water (have to hold pull chain continuously), extra ice maker, open kitchen/bar chairs, spacious living area, tv remote easy to negotiate, bathrooms, half bath especially nice, good quality towels, master, top deck, washer/dryer, air conditioning. Negatives: entrance to house sandy, dirty, unsightly, no outdoor hose to rinse feet or beach things, small refridgerator, cooking equipment disorganized and spread over 6 large under counter cabinets (fully equipped though), top bunks not made, one bed in upstairs bedroom not made and floor not vacuumed, top floor bathroom dirty, 2nd king bedroom very small, had to call realty company about dirty pool, Rock and Roll Bar: Windjammer directly across the street, played very loud music Saturday 5-9:30pm - impossible to sleep or talk. Other nights too but not as loud, closest beach access is through the Windjammer bar area but there is a much nicer one next to Casa Margarita.

Please know we do have a local cleaning and maintenance staff that is available during business hours to address concerns. The top bunks of the bunk beds are provided with sheet sets, should a guest choose to use these beds during their stay. With advance notice, we can arrange to have them made up. While the location of the home is conveniently located to the beach and area restaurants and shops, we understand this may not be for everyone. Please do not hesitate to contact our reservations staff in the future for assistance in locating accommodations a bit further from the hub of Ocean Blvd.
