A perfect getaway. We had to travel for my mom’s funeral, and it was nice to have a spacious, gorgeous property to gather together. The little house was the perfect addition. The lake is peaceful and calm.

The property was great. Nicely located for Traverse City adventures, roomy and beautiful lakeside views.The entry way would be better served with a railing or the steps extended so you could hold on to the posts for stability. You do have the option of garage entry, but no remote provided.I found the "towel" requirement for discharge to be unreasonable. We had 10 adults staying and to have all the towels except seven, washed and dried at discharge was challenging

Perfect for a Bachelor Party

Stayed here with 16 guys and loved it! Great location, amenities, and many sleeping options. Awesome views of the lake as well. Would definitely come back.

Great stay

We had a group of friends rent this house for a wine tasting trip and lots of memories were made. The multiple bedrooms were great and we all had a great time in the game room downstairs.

High Lake Getaway is Fantastic

The listing is just as promised - incredible property. Tons of beds, a great kitchen and fun game room. The backyard and access to the lake were relaxing. Very easy check-in and communicative/helpful host.

Annual wine tour

This is our 4th Annual Family/Friends Wine tour to celebrate my birthday. Perfect house, great view with lots of room.

Beautiful, peaceful home on a lake.

We enjoyed our weekend with family at this cozy home. There is a cottage next to the home that’s a little older but very spacious, with beautiful lake views. Also enjoyed the fire pit and fishing in the lake. Thank you for a great stay.

Excellent Property for families!

A few families stayed for a soccer tournament weekend and had a blast! the property was perfect for us to make meals and relax before, between and after games. Proximity to TC was a plus. Will definitely be back! Host was very responsive - thanks for having us!

Highly recommend

Beautiful emppecably maintained spacious home, well equipped and stocked with both essentials and recreational activities to accommodate our large family. Great customer service from Kurt as well. Would definitely stay here again!

High Lake Getaway worked really well for our family for my son’s wedding. We maxed the place out at 18 and had a wonderful time. The location is really close to TC but not too close so you feel like you are up North while able to get into the city and airport with a quick drive. We loved the view of the lake from the cabin and house. We were pretty busy so did not take advantage of the lake, fire pit or yard but you could see how nice it would be. The classic game rooms was fun and we hung out in the kitchen, island and living room most of the time. Worked out great for all of us. Most importantly, we had a little issue and Kurt was extremely responsive and addressed the issue quickly. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

We stayed at this home with 3 families. The property has more than enough space for us to spread out comfortably. The lake and game room were highlights for the kids. We had a wonderful stay

Great Fall Stay

What a great place to stay! This is our second year here, and it was as nice as before. Beautiful scenic view of High Lake, very clean, great fire pit, guest house for overflow, tons of room, awesome game room in finished basement (although this is second year the Galaga video has been out of order…was a bummer seeing it still out of order). But the billiard table and air hockey table was great. Lots of games there for kids and adults. Close to Traverse City. Peegeo’s restaurant/bar just down the street. Gave it 5 stars, because the Galaga game being out of order is just a tiny bummer. Would not change my mind about this place.

Family Fun Getaway

This beautiful lake property had so much to do for our kids, game room,, lake trampoline raft, fire pit perfect for marshmallows and family time. Close to downtown Traverse and wineries. We had a blast.

Highly Recommend!

I highly recommend this place! Our family of 12 was very comfortable. It had all the amenities then some! The basement game room was amazing! The kitchen was fully stocked, the place was immaculate and very clean. The location perfect and the lake breathtaking. Kurt was amazing! There was a slight hiccup with VRBO check in but Kurt was on it!! If you’re going to Traverse city with a big family this is the place to stay

Wine tour weekend

The house and property was absolutely amazing. Kurt was a great host who responded to all my questions very quickly. We had 12 adults in the home and There is plenty of room for more people without feeling crowded. The lake was beautiful and had clear water in it. A summer weekend would be amazing there. The house is a short distance from anything you want to do. I highly recommend this rental to anyone who likes a quiet secluded woodsy feel but being close to the city life.
