The home is beautiful and the views are stunning! We enjoyed a beautiful fall weekend, kayaking, fishing, shopping and sitting around an evening fire. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you could need for cooking. We loved the large dining room table that easily seated all eight of us for dinner and games. The beds are comfortable and the extra room in the bunk house was perfect. The location is close to Traverse City and the casino. We hope to be back!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet property on a lake for a weekend retreat. We found exactly what we were looking for! We enjoyed being just 15 minutes from Traverse City where we found excellent restaurants, explored the Leelenau Peninsula, rode on the bike trails, took short hikes, all of which was followed by our return to serenity on the lake. We enjoyed sitting outside by the lake and reading in the enclosed porch area on comfortable furniture. The place was immaculate and perfectly described.

The place was amazing! It was just as pictured in the listing. It was very clean and was stocked with everything we could have needed. The outside was beautiful, too. All the furniture was nice (and also clean. The view on the water was breathtaking every night. We really enjoyed our time here... we felt like we had all the privacy we wanted yet had easy access to the places we wanted to go. We would most definitely stay here again!

Beautiful cabin on the lake. Clean and relaxing spot. Host/property manager easy to contact with questions and responded fast. Boat rental easy and convenient. Would definitely stay again.

Cabin on Arbutus

We had a great stay at the cabin on Arbutus Lake. Cabin is well appointed, very clean and has everything you need to start your vacation. Use of paddle birds and kayaks is a plus!

We had a fantastic stay at the Lakemore Cabin. It’s our third stay which speaks to the amenities and beauty of the cabin and lake. The lake is clear and beautiful with plenty of water toys. My toddler appreciated the indoor and outdoor toys to play with. Kayaks and standup paddle boards were a blast. The interior of the home was extremely cleanly and is a beautiful set up for both comfort and relaxation with family. We can’t wait to stay again!

Very clean when checking in, the property was beautiful, and the host was very friendly. My only qualms were communication prior to switching to texting service during the stay wasn’t the greatest. Also the fire pit area is nice but could use some lighting out there, the properties next door has strong lights over it, that would be nice to see the steps.

Up North Adventure

We had a lovely time staying at the lakemore retreats cabin and bunkhouse. With two young babies (two under two), the bunkhouse was a blessing for the grandparents to sneak off to at night to get a full nights rest while the parents dealt with a few nightly wake ups. Beautiful views from everywhere on the property, very clean, and close enough to downtown Traverse City to explore on the few rainy days we had. We would definitely like to stay here again.

Great Space for Thanksgiving

Our family stayed at The Cabin for the Thanksgiving holiday and loved it! The description was spot on. Since we were there in early winter it was cozy space to enjoy a hot cup of coffee and tea while the kids played in the fenced in front yard, game room and explored the natrual areas at the lakefronts edges. The four-seasons porch was also a perfect place on the rainy day for the kids to play with the collection of quite toys. The kitchen was also stocked with the kitchen equipment I needed to cook. Highly recommend and plan on coming back when there is snow!

We loved our stay at this house. The house was amazing and has everything that you need. My only downfall for this location is the lack of communication. I booked my stay in November of 2024, and had questions throughout the year that took 2 months to get a response back. Leading up the trip, the week of, I asked if we could check in early and no response. I followed up multiple times, but never got an answer. One of my girls left something at the house and when I followed up to see if anything was found, there was no response. Which sucks. I manage 7 properties on air bnb and was shocked by the lack of communication. But overall, great stay! We loved everything else.

This is a fantastic property on a quiet lake. The water was so clear we could see the bottom. We had 3 couples plus a single person so used all bedrooms, bunkhouse and murphy bed. You can’t beat the view.

Wonderful lake house! We are already planning to come back. Our family enjoyed our weekend together making memories by the fire, kayaking, swimming, fishing, playing games, grilling, and visiting Traverse City. Highly recommend this lake house and we will be back soon! Thank you! :)

Fall Break Trip

The cabin was well furnished with a great view of the lake. We enjoyed having the fireplaces on the days of colder weather. The location was great for exploring Traverse City, Mission Peninsula, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. Fall foliage was at its peak which added to the visit.

Great family getaway!

We stayed at the Lakemore Retreat (cabin) for 5 days and had a wonderful time. Our 12 & 10 year old grandchildren slept in the bunkhouse. They were a little hesitant at first at it sits about 20 yards from the main cabin but decided to give it a try and gave it a thumbs up. Tricia was always In touch and answered any questions we had promptly. The accommodations were exceptional. Everything was very clean. An added bonus was having a pantry off the kitchen. It was nice to have clean counters and not have boxes laying around.
