We had a wonderful vacation at Oak Island. Our accommodations were top-notch. Our host and hostess were great answering all questions we had for them. They were super nice and were very helpful. It was a great experience. We loved being able to take our fur baby with us.We will be back.

Great amount of room for family. Great backyard for dog also

We had a family funeral but stay was great everything we needed and fur babies too. The dog made friends with neighbors dog and they ran up and down fence together.

Beach trip

We were in town for a wedding. This house was well located. It had everything we needed to feel at home. The fenced yard and quiet neighborhood were great… and we could walk to the beach ( or drive). Enjoyed our week! 😎

Family Get Away/Birthday Celebration

Thank you so much for opening up your home to my children and I and all our fluffy babies! We all had a wonderful trip with family time and a birthday celebration. The ocean and sand is always very relaxing. And we were so thankful you allowed pets so the whole family could come. Hopefully we can return soon!

Cute place nice neighbors

We had a great time. Neighbors were pretty cool and their dog was very friendly. Definitely liked the fenced in yard but the big guy can be intimidating if your dog gets spooked easily. Owners were responsive and property was ready when we arrived. Although the cleaning crew didnt do the greatest job thats not on the owner.

Excellent week

We had a wonderful week and we highly recommend renting the golf cart as well. We come every summer from WI and normally bring a ton of sand back in our vehicle, this is the cleanest our truck has been because we used the golf cart to go back and forth to the beach. It was perfect. My dog loved the great dane next store - his name is Onyx and is the sweetest dog. Both neighbors were very friendly. Steve responds so quickly and worked with us regarding a slightly earlier check in time, which worked out great from us. We had just spent a week in Wilmington and were coming directly to Oak Island. Thank you again Steve for everything. The photos look just like the property. We loved the location and easy beach access.

Tranquility

This property was lovely. The cottage was clean and bright, very comfortable and well appointed, My wife and I enjoyed our two week stay and we were joined by our adult kids daughter in law for varing periods. We all had a lovely time..getting such unity of opinion is extremely rare for my family. The only issue I had was regarding lthe discription of the distance to the beach. While , yes it is probably a 12 minute walk to the strand, unfortunately that would require an unprotected crossing of a very busy avenue. For safetiy's sake we preferted using our golf carts to travel several blocks to a traffic signal in order t cross. This a very minior issue as long as you have a golf cart at your disposal.

Cute House

The house was cute. Rooms where a great size. Mattresses is all three beds were awful. Cleanliness was an issue. The "House" instructions including stripping the beds and putting laundry in a basket, but the cleaning company had their own rules that included sweeping all of the floors before you leave. We found 3 LARGE acrylic fingernail around the house that was pretty gross. The beds are not made when you get there. The sheets are in a plastic package to ensure cleanliness, but it also means you had to make the beds. The owner was great about communication, just wish the cleaning company was better.

We had such a great time at this Oak Island beach house! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location couldn’t have been better. Having access to rent the golf cart to cruise around in was such a fun bonus. The owners really thought of everything—even down to extra dog bowls and a crate, which made it so easy for us to bring our pup along and the beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, and we’d definitely stay here again!

Perfect little home.

Poorly managed property

1. The whole house had a musty smell which propagated to our clothing. 2. The scatter rugs are a safety hazard as they easily slip and move under your feet. 3. We did not have the property to ourselves as there was a boat on the property which came and went. 4. After emptying the trash cans they were immediately filled up by someone other than us. 5. Two round bowls in the kitchen had discussing stains in them so we were concerned about using them. We have used VRBO twice before and this was the worst experience of them all.

Wonderful stay!

The place was exactly as described. Great location to everything! We had a wonderful stay and will look for available dates when we come back to the area! The host was very informative with everything we may have needed to know. We loved that umbrellas, beach chairs, toys, etc. were available to use!
