Our colorful 3BR/2BA Downtown St. Augustine Guest House is a guest favorite—and for good reason. It combines an incredible walk-to-everything location with a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood, a private tropical backyard, and one-of-a-kind artistic décor.

You’ll be close to the best of historic St. Augustine, yet tucked away from the crowds when you’re ready to relax.

Leave the car behind and explore the nation’s oldest city on foot. Francis Field—home to many of St. Augustine’s most popular festivals—is just a two-minute walk away.

Stroll to St. George Street, the Bayfront, Castillo de San Marcos, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, the Old Town Trolley, and some of our favorite restaurants, bars, galleries, shops, and historic attractions. When you’re ready for sand and surf, Vilano Beach is just a short drive away.

YOUR OWN PRIVATE BACKYARD RETREAT

After a day exploring the Old City, come home to your own peaceful escape. The enclosed front, side, and backyards are surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, including lemon and orange trees.

Fire up the gas grill, play your favorite music through the Bluetooth BOSE speaker, enjoy a drink on the stone patio, or gather around the fire pit and share stories beneath the St. Augustine sky.

A HOME WITH PERSONALITY

This is anything but a cookie-cutter vacation rental. Every room is filled with color, character, and creativity, including hand-painted Sticks furniture, Shoestring Creations headboards, Mackenzie-Childs décor, and artwork from local artists.

We love our neighbors and are in a residential neighborhood and ask that our guests respect a quiet time between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
We have off-street parking at the side of the house for 2 cars. The public parking lot is a 5-minute walk. No parking on Loring Street.
We want you to feel at home and have provided you with a BBQ and a Fire Pit. Please clean up after use.

This cottage is adorable, clean and spaciously comfortable. The host wendy and David have thought of all the little things you may need or could of forgotten. The location is convenient to all the fun things to see in St Augustine.

We booked last minute and this house could not have been better. It's in an ideal location. The downtown area is very close but you still get the peace of a quiet neighborhood. The house was beautiful, clean and stocked with everything you'd need. The bathroom had spare items in case you forgot anything - the hosts really thought of everything. They also were very responsive and attentive during our stay. Everything was easy to locate and we could not have been happier. Would highly recommend this property!

Perfect experience. Every time I book a rental, I expect some discrepancy between the professional photos on the listing and the walk-in gander, but there was none. Everything was spotless; beautifully decorated; and inviting. If our family comes back to St. Augustine anytime soon, we hope to book this same place!

Wendy and Dave are wonderful hosts! Their home is beautiful and welcoming. We enjoyed looking at all the unique artwork and style throughout the home. They provided us with coffee kcups, towels and chairs for the beach, toiletries and laundry detergent. Perfect location to downtown St Augustine. Our family created memories to last a lifetime. We look to future visits!

It is within walking distance to George St, other shops near by other events, about 3 to 5 blocks. The home is well kept, very clean and very comfortable. The hosts, David and Wendy are super, ready to assist you asap. You will enjoy the quiet.

This is the most unique and creative VRBO place we have stayed in. Everything you could possibly need is supplied. The neighborhood is quiet, yet within walking distance of the historical district. The Guest House is a lovely place to spend some time in St. Augustine! The property was relaxing, spacious, beautifully decorated, and well equipped for our stay. The location is quiet, but easily walkable to the Visitors Center, Trolley, etc. The owners kept in contact throughout our initial reservation and stay.

Wendy and I are lifelong entrepreneurs and the owners of TeamBonding, a corporate events company built around bringing people together through fun, creative, and challenging experiences.

Most of the year, we live in Sharon, Massachusetts, outside Boston, overlooking beautiful Lake Massapoag. In early 2021, we spent January through March at our Downtown St. Augustine Guest House and fell in love with the home, the neighborhood, and the city. We enjoyed it so much that we purchased another property just a few blocks away, giving us even more reasons to return.

In 2022 and early 2023, we took on our dream renovation project, transforming an industrial warehouse into the ArtHouse, a colorful and imaginative vacation rental filled with local art, handcrafted details, and plenty of personality.

We love creating memorable experiences, whether we’re bringing teams together through TeamBonding or welcoming guests to one of our St. Augustine homes. We hope you’ll love this city and this special house as much as we do.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We first discovered St. Augustine almost by accident. During a business trip to Amelia Island, we made the one-hour-and-fifteen-minute drive to visit the city during Nights of Lights. The streets were beautifully decorated, and St. Augustine was celebrating its 450th anniversary, making our first visit especially memorable.

Before that trip, we had never even heard of St. Augustine. We immediately fell in love with its history, charm, and welcoming spirit and soon began searching for a home of our own. When we couldn’t find the right one, we rented the Original St. Augustine Guest House on Hypolita Street, where we continued enjoying the city until early 2020.

Not long afterward, we found and purchased our Loring Street home. We fell deeply in love with the house, its peaceful neighborhood, and its incredible location. It remains very special to us, and we’re confident you’ll love it too.

The private backyard is one of the home’s most loved features. Surrounded by tropical landscaping, it offers several places to unwind. Grill dinner on the BBQ, enjoy coffee or drinks on the stone patio, play music through the Bluetooth BOSE speaker, or gather around the fire pit after a day of exploring.
