The Strand at Twin Rocks - Oregon Beach Vacations

Welcome to The Strand at Twin Rocks located in beautiful Rockaway Beach! The Strand at Twin Rocks is a gorgeous two story rental offering room for up to seventeen guests, with five bedrooms and two baths. Step inside to your home away from home, and prepare for a long weekend of rest and relaxation from this oceanfront abode! The living room area offers seating for everyone in your group to have their own space and enjoy their time off. A flat screen TV provides plenty of entertainment during your time inside. The kitchen offers everything you need to whip up some simple homemade meals while staying at The Strand at Twin Rocks, or feel free to head out to Highway 101 and try any of the great restaurants. Step outside, and you'll find yourself on the beach! Three bedrooms are on the bottom floor, making this convenient for those who have difficulty navigating stairs. The first bedroom two bedrooms offer queen beds, while the third on the main floor has two bunk beds, perfect for the kids. Head upstairs, and you'll find two more bedrooms, one with two queen beds, and the other with a king and two twin beds. These rooms are perfect for families with small children! There are also two bathrooms at this rental. One has a tub/shower combo, while the second offers a walk-in shower. The amazing upper deck offers plenty of space for everyone in your party to catch a gorgeous sunset from while lounging on the chairs and enjoying a meal. Really the only complaint we had was that upon first entry the home had an extremely strong odor of marijuana. The upstairs smelled of cigarettes. We did a lot of airing out but the upstairs smell seemed to linger our entire stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and everything else was nice and clean. The Candy Cane express train ran right behind the house which my grandchildren loved. The beach was fantastic!

Our apologies we were unable to mitigate the smell prior to your arrival. Great Family Vacation Spot

We absolutely loved the house location and it's proximity to the beach. The house was large enough to accommodate 19 of us with a couple extra small children. We have come to Rockaway Beach for 7 of the last 8 years and this was by far the best place we have stayed. If the owners will have my motley crew, we will be back!

Great for large families

We have stayed at this property twice. Overall we like it due to its size (good for a large group of people) and it’s proximity to the beach. Our only issue this stay was one of the toasters had mouse droppings in it.

Pre Thanksgiving getaway

House was beautiful, just like the pictures showed. There were 17 of us total and there was adequate accommodations, parking was great, view was phenomenal. We would defiantly go back to this house

the entire family loved being so close to the beach...we could not have asked for more.We had lots of teenagers and several pre teens...and never ran out of hot water!finding the light switch for the kitchen was a challenge, but once our 2 year old grandkid found it on the end of the island we were treated to on/off for the next several minutes. The kitchen was fairly well supplied...enough bowls and utensils for all. The gas grill worked great on the back porch. Only drawback was the ocean was COLD!

Great location

Great location. Well-equipped kitchen. Responsive rental agency. Very comfortable living room. Only downsides were electronics: entry code didn't work, no internet, couldn't get TV to work. However, we were enjoying our vacation so much none of the above challenges mattered much!

Disappointed about not being able to check in until 5. The big complaint was the rotten fish odor when the refrigerator was opened every time . Everyone was put off by it!

Beautiful beach house, amazing time with friends

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We came to Rockaway Beach for my friend's 40th birthday and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for us. We had an outdoor fish bake that turned out delicious, had a costume contest based on movies that came out in 1979 (the two 10 year old kids were the judges) and all in all just a wonderful time. The house had everything that we needed with comfortable beds, great wifi and beautiful views. Thank you so much to everyone on the team who made our stay at The Strand so lovely!

Family Vacay

Our vacation was super fun. Rental was clean and spacious. Perfect location. We explored the beach and other close towns. Big hit with the family. The only thing that put any damper on our stay were all 6 cameras. (All Outside). We felt like someone was always watching us. Grandkids didn’t like them either. This was very odd. Not sure we would stay at that rental again. Everything else was very nice and we appreciate how easy peezy it was for all of us to get there.

Great family trip

We loved the property, the location and the surroundings. The only issue we had was trying to unlock the door. The code didn't work, then when we got the key it was stuck in the door. Also, the garbage was already full and little space to put ours. It blew around from the wind. Could use another can or more frequent pickup. But the house was beautiful and the view fantastic, and everything else worked well. Rooms were great and pretty soundproof. Loved seeing the tourist train came through too.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: the house was great for a large family and so very close to the beach. We only had 4 towels when we got there, several of the twin beds did not have linen on them and over all the floor was very dirty. The towels were brought out the next day after we called. I was not going to keep calling to complain about the house as we were only there 5 days.

It looks like this home has several bunk beds, and due to a safety concern, we do not allow our staff to make up the top bunk, but we do provide the linens for them. We apologize for this inconvenience. We would have happily cleaned the floors for you when we brought out the towels. Large Families will Love This!

We have been to many VRBO’s over the years, so we no our “O’s!” This vacation rental was perfect because: many beds, many rooms, easy to clean hardwood on the main, close to beach, large kitchen and lots of room for parking. Would highly recommend. The only negative was we were not able to get a password for WiFi. Which is awesome for most of us, but we did have a guest studying for a masters program that needed the computer. So maybe arrange that before.

Perfect spot

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was in a lovely location. The homes on either side were so quiet sleeps were had. The little town of Rockaway was more in line with our need was small and not too touristy. A side trip to Cannon Beach convinced us we had chosen the best location: long uncrowded beaches and very little traffic in town. The grandchildren ran from their beds into the ocean, passed by us to get food at regular intervals and then back to the sea. Hint: Grandparents cannot compete with an ocean. We were regulated to watching their joy. With two decks we had plenty of variety for views and social events. The only thing I would suggest is that the upper deck be provided with shade: umbrellas or sails, etc. We had a glorious time. The Troupe from Montana

Good location, but poor management.

House was clean at arrival. The communication was very poor with the property manager. Property manager just ignored my messages and didn't respond after initial couple of questions. One bathroom door would not lock. We had to improvise by making signboard for 'in-use'. If the group size is more than 10, two bathrooms are less. There was no bathroom on the upper level. Every morning we ran out of warm water. Top floor was atleast 10 degrees colder than main floor due to poor insulation.

Quiet street

We rented as a very last minute winter weekend because the weather was in the 70’s and found this place. The manager is very responsive and friendly. The property is on a dead end street which made it quiet and less crowded. It’s close to fun places to explore, lots of hiking and of course the beach is literally across the road. There were plenty of beds/rooms for the family and a great rooftop expansive deck to watch the gorgeous sunsets. Since you won’t be swimming in the ocean it’s great that there are runoffs that flow down the beach so the kids can play in the water there. Now, for the place itself it doesn’t offer nice outdoor space to play games or hang out really. Not such a bad thing but would be nice if the area where grass is supposed to be was kept up. It’s a bit rundown and could have been cleaner. However, again overall not to bad that we couldn’t enjoy ourselves anyway. They do provide a lot of towels and chairs, plus toiletries and kitchen cleaning supplies which is great!

Twin Rock Twouble!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hello! Although my girlfriends and I had a wonderful time at our short reunion (May 5-8), we did have a few problems. The house, location, and comfort of the home we rented was wonderful. But we had a big problem that would have prevented us from staying at the house that was ignored by your answering service. A smoke detector was chirping upon our arrival, and as you probably know, the noise is obnoxious and we weren’t able to stay while the chirping continued. I made three phone calls to your answering service (I was cut off twice), who said that they would “send a ticket” to someone who would fix it. No concern on their part, and no response. The next morning we found that your office hadn’t even been contacted. So, we had to remedy the problem on our own, and one of us 60+ ladies climbed up and removed the smoke detector. We had no idea if it was just the battery or if it was hardwired. We actually had to put it in one of our cars in order to muffle the chirp. Very annoying!. Another problem we had was with connecting to WiFi. The password that is prominently placed in the house is incorrect. Thankfully we had some savvy tech ladies in our group, and after an hour long phone call to the server company (I think), we found out that the password was completely different and were finally able to log on to WiFi. Another unpleasant experience. Beyond that, the absence of any kitchen wrap, bags, or foil, limited TP and soap, and dirty floors were also a bit annoying. As I already said, we have been getting together for several years now and none of the houses we have rented had these types of problems. We contacted Tina on Monday morning and she was very responsive and pleasant to deal with. TP and soap arrived! Thought you’d like to know these things. It might be wise to have someone on call 24/7 to take care of problems. The answering service was worthless. Love

Hello Linda, Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that you and your friends enjoyed your overall stay at The Strand at Twin Rocks. We are sorry to hear that you ran into a few issues. We are sorry that our answering service did not contact us about the smoke detectors, but we are glad to see that we were able to come next day to fix that for you. As for the issue with the Wi-Fi, this information was never changed. It turns out the router needed to be rebooted and pinged by the service provider. We are sorry for this inconvenience. We do not provide any of our homes with kitchen wrap, bags or foil. We are glad to know that we were able to get more soap and TP out to you. We hope to have you ladies stay with us again in the future. Thank you again for your review.

We were very excited to reserve this large home for three sibling families and our parents to celebrate their 70th and 75th birthdays. Unfortunately when we arrived we had an hour and a half delay because the cleaners were not finished after traveling far in a car and ready for dinner this was a big disappointment.The home was clean and beautiful, the walk to the beach does not match the photos and the VRBO description- there's a lot of driftwood and water so accessibility was a little difficult for our parents but still doable.The deck is amazing for afternoon naps and viewing very quiet beach very quiet neighborhood. They Have an old school basic coffee pot at leaks a little in the back and the power strip that runs the hot kettle and the coffee pot trips it so you have to put the coffee pot somewhere else. There are no beach towels so bring your own beach towels. It's very convenient having two fridges for that many people.Great stay and when we couldn't figure out the code to get into the house we were contacted right away and got it figured out.And this has nothing to do with the house but there is a tourist train that runs right behind the house that runs mostly on the weekend and there's a late night booze cruise so you will hear a train horn every couple hours and one at 10:30 at night on Fridays.

The beach view from this house is really glorious! We had a comfortable stay with two families. Loved the balcony looking out to the sea and the proximity to the ocean. Furnishings are older, but cozy.
