Welcome to The Strand at Twin Rocks located in beautiful Rockaway Beach! The Strand at Twin Rocks is a gorgeous two story rental offering room for up to seventeen guests, with five bedrooms and two baths. Step inside to your home away from home, and prepare for a long weekend of rest and relaxation from this oceanfront abode! The living room area offers seating for everyone in your group to have their own space and enjoy their time off. A flat screen TV provides plenty of entertainment during your time inside. The kitchen offers everything you need to whip up some simple homemade meals while staying at The Strand at Twin Rocks, or feel free to head out to Highway 101 and try any of the great restaurants. Step outside, and you'll find yourself on the beach! Three bedrooms are on the bottom floor, making this convenient for those who have difficulty navigating stairs. The first bedroom two bedrooms offer queen beds, while the third on the main floor has two bunk beds, perfect for the kids. Head upstairs, and you'll find two more bedrooms, one with two queen beds, and the other with a king and two twin beds. These rooms are perfect for families with small children! There are also two bathrooms at this rental. One has a tub/shower combo, while the second offers a walk-in shower. The amazing upper deck offers plenty of space for everyone in your party to catch a gorgeous sunset from while lounging on the chairs and enjoying a meal. Quiet street

We rented as a very last minute winter weekend because the weather was in the 70’s and found this place. The manager is very responsive and friendly. The property is on a dead end street which made it quiet and less crowded. It’s close to fun places to explore, lots of hiking and of course the beach is literally across the road. There were plenty of beds/rooms for the family and a great rooftop expansive deck to watch the gorgeous sunsets. Since you won’t be swimming in the ocean it’s great that there are runoffs that flow down the beach so the kids can play in the water there. Now, for the place itself it doesn’t offer nice outdoor space to play games or hang out really. Not such a bad thing but would be nice if the area where grass is supposed to be was kept up. It’s a bit rundown and could have been cleaner. However, again overall not to bad that we couldn’t enjoy ourselves anyway. They do provide a lot of towels and chairs, plus toiletries and kitchen cleaning supplies which is great!

Great for large families

We have stayed at this property twice. Overall we like it due to its size (good for a large group of people) and it’s proximity to the beach. Our only issue this stay was one of the toasters had mouse droppings in it.

Family Vacay

Our vacation was super fun. Rental was clean and spacious. Perfect location. We explored the beach and other close towns. Big hit with the family. The only thing that put any damper on our stay were all 6 cameras. (All Outside). We felt like someone was always watching us. Grandkids didn’t like them either. This was very odd. Not sure we would stay at that rental again. Everything else was very nice and we appreciate how easy peezy it was for all of us to get there.

Great location

Great location. Well-equipped kitchen. Responsive rental agency. Very comfortable living room. Only downsides were electronics: entry code didn't work, no internet, couldn't get TV to work. However, we were enjoying our vacation so much none of the above challenges mattered much!

Pre Thanksgiving getaway

House was beautiful, just like the pictures showed. There were 17 of us total and there was adequate accommodations, parking was great, view was phenomenal. We would defiantly go back to this house

Great Family Vacation Spot

We absolutely loved the house location and it's proximity to the beach. The house was large enough to accommodate 19 of us with a couple extra small children. We have come to Rockaway Beach for 7 of the last 8 years and this was by far the best place we have stayed. If the owners will have my motley crew, we will be back!

Beach time

House listing was correct with the property. Plenty of room for our large group. Views were amazing. For future renting, if it’s a beach property, you should provide beach towels and beach chairs. We ended up purchasing them and gifting them back to the house. Those small items make a stay more enjoyable.

Great family trip

We loved the property, the location and the surroundings. The only issue we had was trying to unlock the door. The code didn't work, then when we got the key it was stuck in the door. Also, the garbage was already full and little space to put ours. It blew around from the wind. Could use another can or more frequent pickup. But the house was beautiful and the view fantastic, and everything else worked well. Rooms were great and pretty soundproof. Loved seeing the tourist train came through too.

Good location, but poor management.

House was clean at arrival. The communication was very poor with the property manager. Property manager just ignored my messages and didn't respond after initial couple of questions. One bathroom door would not lock. We had to improvise by making signboard for 'in-use'. If the group size is more than 10, two bathrooms are less. There was no bathroom on the upper level. Every morning we ran out of warm water. Top floor was atleast 10 degrees colder than main floor due to poor insulation.

BIG Family get together

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was perfect for our large family. 21 of us, all ages. Ample dishes, beds, bedding, towels, etc. The location to the beach couldn't be beat - easy to run back & forth to the house. Short drives to groceries & restaurants. We had to ask for extra trash pick up and the response was fast & friendly. We will likely book this spot again on our next trip - it worked out very well. THANK YOU

Our stay ...an experience

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Problem with our arrival. Only one woman to clean a 5 bedroom house, and she got there to clean at 3:45. P.m. No way could one person other than wonder women do a good job. Nice woman with an impossible task. The bunk beds were not made, etc. No reflection on the cleaning woman. Next, 11 people with 4 rolls of toilet paper, for a 3 night stay, is not enough. We ran out of T. Paper. Ran out of plastic kitchen trash bags.....and laundered kitchen towels. Otherwise the view was great.....beach fantastic....beds comfortable. Note* We did report to the cleaning woman who arrived when we were leaving, that my daughter in law pulled up her dining room chair, only to have the side if her thumb pinched in the crack of one wobbly back chair leg. OUCH! It needs repair. The house was roomy. AND I will add.....If anyone reports a lost piece of costume granddaughter found it in her bed, and has been wearing it. If anyone identifies it, we will be happy to mail it to them. You may give them my emai address. Other than the inconveniences we had, the setting and house was fine. Janet

Family friendly

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good time at the Strand. It was right on the beach. The views were awesome. And there was plenty of room. The big table was great for games and the rooms nicely sized. Kitchen had most everything we needed. But the garbage outside was not emptied upon arrival and smelled awful. They brought a new can when we called but no info for removal. Heater wasn't working correctly and needed better guide. TP was limited as we were there a week. Cleaning could be better. Found several items in the dust and sand under furniture. And the doors had lots of dirty spots and fingerprints. Overall we would recommend The Strand but perhaps increased cleaning. Swiffer under the couches and tables. Wipe off the doors. And perhaps spray for spiders.

Lots of beds and close to the beach

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house has a lot of beds and they were comfortable. Location is great as well as the beach nearby. The TV, fireplace and view perfect. I've never left a less than stellar review of a rental before sorry. Reached out to owners prior and never heard back. Almost everything in the kitchen looks like it came from Goodwill or the Dollar store. The "silverware" was in a drawer in a wad held together with a rubber band and are the same utensils I buy for camping and throw away. The walls are dirty and dinged up. The white interior doors and baseboard trim have black scuffs all over them. It looks like 3 toddlers on trikes were turned loose for a weekend. The slider door curtain near kitchen trash can has food stains on it and shower curtain has unidentified stain. The place needs an overhaul. Take $500 to Home Goods and outfit the kitchen and bathrooms. However, if none of these things improved it's a great home for families with little ones they don't want to be worried about making a mess and leaving dings, dents and marks on things.

Excellent location !!

This was a great location !! We were lucky enough to have empty rentals on the sides so we had the area to ourselves . The beach access was just across the driveway and view was phenomenal . It lacked a some kitchen items but overall very well stocked with linens and everything else. Another bathroom upstairs would have been ideal , but there is not much room for one upstairs. The two biggest rooms are up there, and one is connected to the balcony which has a great view, and is probably such a great spot in the summer ! Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Great location, Very good overall experience.

Beautiful location, Upper deck is very cool. They need to make access to it from both upstairs bedrooms. They need to put at least a half bath upstairs. One burner did not work, the barbecue was filthy, a few broken screens, the trees could be taken down a bit from obstructing the downstairs view. Other than these mostly minor issues, It was a very nice experience

Great location

This house is on a very quiet beach making it a great spot for families who want to avoid crowds. Highly suggest bringing cleaning supplies- the floors and bathrooms needed to be redone when we arrived.
