Nestled amongst towering pines trees rests this private and quaint respite from hectic life at the Woodland Pines Cottage. Wildlife abounds throughout the 3-acre parcel that surrounds a vintage cedar shake shingled cabin recently purchased from the original owner who built the cabin in 1972. It features a kitchen/dining room combination, living room with stone fireplace, three bedrooms and a living room sectional sofa. Situated in a clearing in the middle of the tract of land, there is much sunshine afforded for summer sun bathing and winter warmth.
This property is offered individually for parties of up to 6.

Beautiful location just outside Laporte and short drive to Eagles Mere. Large enough for families. Has everything you need so only needed to bring clothes/ toiletries. The owner’s description is accurate as are the photos so I won’t reiterate that here. Few things: it’s a bit dark inside and sometimes hard to find things in kitchen so open everything- even if you don’t think it’s a cabinet (see my photos). Wonderful stay. Will definitely be back.

Return visit to Woodland Pines

Our weekend stay was lovely. The cabin is so cozy and has everything we need. A perfect place for a relaxing weekend retreat.

We've stayed at Woodland Pines about a half dozen times now. It is always clean and has everything you need for a cozy stay in the mountains of Sullivan County, PA. We highly recommend staying at this home.

Excellent rental in a fabulous location

This was our first stay. What a charming place and you felt very secluded, tucked away in the woods. Much nicer in person than the photos. The host was top notch. We loved the proximity to World’s End, the overlooks, and everything on our list. We would go back in a heartbeat.

We love Woodland Pines

We had mother wonderful vacation at Woodland Pines. The new floors definitely add to the cottage. My husband especially enjoyed the new room air conditioning units! The cottage is perfect for our needs and the location allows us to visit with family every summer! We will definitely be back!

Great getaway

Quiet and clean and comfortable. My stepdaughter from Brazil was so pleased that she saw deer! Lots of taxidermy: a real bearskin plus fish, deer, birds, etc. Wonderful wood paneling. Lots of "technology": TVs, internet, DVDs, etc. We would stay here again.

Extended Weekend at Woodland Pines

Woodland Pines is an exceptional place to stay. It was very clean and beautiful inside and out. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with everything you need. Plenty of room to relax both inside in the living room or on the deck that has lots of seating. We enjoyed some campfire and s'mores time at the fire pit with the firewood available. Everything you need is there. It is a lovely cabin and location. We had great communication with the owner. Harry is a welcoming and gracious host. We will most certainly be back again soon!

Cozy Cabin in the Woods

Our fall weekend at this cabin was cozy, toasty warm and peaceful, despite the rain that enveloped the area. We were still able to enjoy the local Lumberjack Festival in Forksville, and returning afterwards to this property was especially nice to get warm and dry. The decor depicted a lodge-like atmosphere and essentials were provided for our stay. Harry communicated with us regarding the new heating/cooling system to ensure we were warm. We will definitely return to this property next year and know it will be a serene environment to enjoy the Endless Mountains. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful woodland property, Harry.

We loved the cozy cabin! Highlights were the A/C (it was SO hot the week we were there) and the super-speedy internet that allowed two of us to work from “home” for a few days. Thank you for the hospitality!

Quiet Cabin In The Woods

We had an excellent time at this vacation rental. Everything was exactly as stated in the listing and more. Our host, Harry, was great and he was very accommodating of our requests. Thank you Harry! The house had everything we needed and provided a very relaxing time for all of us. The location was perfect and we enjoyed many of the State Parks that were virtually all around us. This is a very beautiful area and we're already talking about returning next year. Great experience that all outdoor enthusiasts will love!

Ideal location for nearby hiking opportunities

We chose this property so we could hike at Ricketts Glen (30 minutes away) Loyalsock Trail (trailhead for this is only a couple miles away) and Worlds End state park. Beautiful time for enjoying fall leaves and great hiking. Beds were comfortable for sleeping after those challenging hikes! Loved those beautiful dishes!

We have always loved Sullivan County and enjoy sharing our cabin with others as they experience the beauty of this wonderful area. We use the property often and have a long list of very happy renters since purchasing the property in 2017.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Woodland Pines is located on a small dirt lane and very private. We have a couple of distant neighbors. You feel very remote, yet you are a 3 minute drive into downtown Laporte.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Everyone loves the quiet nature of the property and the towering pines surrounding the cabin. Yet, the lot immediately around the cabin is cleared and lets lots of sunshine in!
