Mountain Sunrise- A Rustic Mountain Retreat

Our beautiful cabin sleeps up to 6 people comfortably. There are 3 levels of living. On the main level there is a well equipped kitchen, dining area with a table and seating for 8. There is a comfortable reading area with a real wood fireplace, full bathroom and grill on huge back deck. The lower level boasts a very nice master bedroom with queen bed. The second bedroom provides 2 single beds. There is also a full bathroom and laundry facility. The upper level is an open loft area with TV viewing area and 2 single beds. The cabin is located just up the road from the Greenbrier entrance to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park with miles of creeks and trails to explore and enjoy. There are also 3 outdoor swimming pools within the Cobbly Nob development and 2 pickle ball courts. You can also play golf at Bent Creek Golf Course designed by three-time Masters and British Open Championship Winner Gary Player. The course is a par 72 course that has been popular since the sunny day it opened back in 1972. The front nine hugs the valley floor while the back nine offers a challenging mountain course.

It was great it was a real log cabin that is what impressed me and my husband.The host was great I had a question and he got back to me fast.the only thing I didn’t like was the road getting to the cabin. But you kinda expect that when you get a cabin. I would recommend it if you wanted a nice get away

House was built in 1979 and nothing has been improved since then. Biggest complaint was the cleanliness. Floor was dirty, towels and sheets had stains, bathroom rugs were filthy, saggy pillows were discolored brown and mattresses were so uncomfortable and covered with a plastic noisy mattress cover. Beware that driveway is very steep down and road up to house is very steep with sharp one car turns. There are bears in area. We saw them and found huge paw prints on car window and mud on door handles. They did no damage but you need to look around before going outside. House could be really nice with some updates and new furnishings. Half hour away from most activities.

Great place to stay

Beautiful place on the side of a mountain that isjust outside of the main drag but close enough to get everywhere! Highly recommended!

Very spacious and comfortable. Very clean. Coffee on the deck in the morning with a beautiful Mountain View. Price was very reasonable. If you want extras, bring with you. (Seasonings, soaps, shampoo, blow dryer, etc ) Not all VRBOs provide, and that’s ok. Just good to know.

This was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway from the city! We absolutely loved the charming rustic feel of the cabin—it created such a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, making our stay even more convenient. The views were truly breathtaking, and the location made it easy to explore nearby attractions.We did feel the beds could use a bit of an update, but it certainly wouldn’t stop us from booking again.We had one minor issue during our stay, and the owner responded immediately and resolved it right away. We were incredibly impressed with the level of communication and promptness. Overall, a wonderful experience—we would happily return!

We didn’t wind up using the fireplace as the weather did not really require it. The majority of the amenities all worked perfectly. We did notice some mice droppings in the kitchen and the loft, but thankfully, no mouse was sighted. We did have to re-clean a few dishes and pots and pans that we used but otherwise everything was great.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

This property was build by my father and his cousin in 1979. All timber was harvested locally and built with their own hands. Our family spent summers and holiday here while growing up and have so many wonderful memories that were made here. Now we just want to give others a chance to enjoy our little cabin and make their own memories.

The location is quiet but not too far away from all the action. Our favorite thing is sitting on the back deck and looking across the hollow at ridges of the National Park with a good cup of coffee.
