We have two separate rental rooms available. Each have their own private entrance from the outside of the residence as well as their own private full baths. Both rooms have a mini-frig, microwave, and coffeepot. Internet is provided.

We are located within walking distance of the famous Carolina Beach Boardwalk where there are many restaurants, Bars, Charter Boats, and many other attractions. There is always lots of live entertainment and we will be happy to make suggestions based on your food and music taste.

We also own a charter fishing business called Southern Sportfishing. We have 1/2 day, 3/4 day, and Full day offshore trips available.

Other nearby attractions include Kure Beach, Fort Fisher Aquarium, Civil War Museum, and the Fort Fisher Ferry which travels to Southport and Bald Head Island numerous times daily.

If you are interested in Kayaking, Bike rentals, Surf lessons, Paddle Boarding, or Golf Cart rentals we can help you with your arrangements.

FYI : We have a dog on premises. He stays inside our home but is never allowed in the rental rooms.

Beach trip

We were so pleased with the apartment, nicely decorated, was clean, very comfortable, nice neighborhood, check in and out was easy. We will be back for sure.

Lovely stay

My husband and I had a lovely stay at this property. It was clean, easy to check in, responsive owner, and good location. The neighborhood walk into town for breakfast or dinner was great and was about .8 a mile. It was easy to find, good parking, and had what you need for a simple room to stay in. If you wanted to go to the beach and were carrying stuff (chairs, umbrellas, books etc), I would recommend driving and parking in town. Enjoyed exploring Carolina beach and Kure beach. Felt like the property was represented well in the listing. Highly recommend the aquarium and Havana’s—both highlights for our trip when exploring this new area.

Beach hideaway

Everything thing was like it was mentioned in the article. Very little distractions from the owners while we were in the room. The room was very clean and well maintained. Only negative is that you don’t have control of the temperature in the room. Other than that would recommend and will be booking again.

Clean and easy

We go to Fort Fisher so we did not need to be in walking distance so this was perfect. The room was very clean. The landlord very responsive although we never saw them (that was fine with us, we didn't need anything). The room was small but more than adequate. We had a great weekend!

This place was perfect for a nice long weekend get away. Nice walk to beach and town. Walls a little thin as we could hear homowners chatting. No biggie they probably heard us as well! lol

Perfect for overnight

Nice layout. Ackward shower handle since hot was to the right and not the left. No access to HVAC controls..1 day very good other seemed very hot. Steps seemed steeper than any we had used before.

Great Stay!

This place was perfect! It's in a cool little neighborhood, about a mile from the beach. Very clean place, and the added touches of having paper plates and cutlery, coffee pot, and a water jug were really fantastic. Andy, the owner, was great to work with and asked several times if everything was ok. Will definitely stay here again!

Good Experience

Exactly as described. Place was clean and included all my husband and I needed for a pleasant night’s stay. The outside porch even included comfortable rocking chairs where we could sit and enjoy watching the sunset. Also within walking distance of the boardwalk/beach. Owner Andy gave perfect directions of how to check in and to check out. He also made himself available if we had any concerns or requests. As we were leaving, he came out to talk with us and thank us for staying there. A good experience!

Location!

Wedding Anniversary, decided on Carolina Beach, this place is perfect location, we rode our bicycles to the boardwalk, able to bring our 19 ft. Carolina Skiff, Andy is a great host, his family is on the property as well along with Roscoe ❤️ didn't hear a peep! Will be back, thank you!

Calm, relaxing stay!

Andy, the host and his family were very nice! Very helpful when we asked for assistance and made sure we were taken care of. We enjoyed our stay. Much nicer than a busy hotel for our anniversary.

Great location!

Andy was such a cool host! Met him and his cool dog the first day, so cordial and nice. The room ran cool on and was a great relief after the walk from the beach. Everything is very walkable, some reviews say a mile is too long to walk, you can literally see the end of the street and it’s a pleasurable walk ( rent a bike or scooter and it’s even more enjoyable). But you are 5 minute drive from Kure beach, 1 minute drive from Carolina, and Wilmington is just down the road. It was the best location for all that you want to do! Thanks Andy :)

Family owned and operated Tradewinds Motel in Kure Beach for over 40 years. When I decided to build a house I wanted to be far enough away from the ocean that I didn't have to worry about storm surges from Hurricanes. Also the beach front is very noisy during the season which is why I built in this quiet neighborhood. I can walk or ride a bike anywhere I need to go.
