Uptown-Carrollton house description
NOLA rental license #21-RSTR-01218, #21-OSTR-01222. Located a few minutes from Tulane & Loyola, Downtown, Convention center and the Superdome. We are 2 blks from the streetcar which will bring you to the French Quarter through beautiful Garden District. Take the bus to JAZZ FEST!
Nestled in charming Uptown New Orleans, in the historic, quiet and safe Uptown neighborhood of Carrollton. Close to beautiful Marsalis Harmony Park, the house is just 2 blocks from the streetcar line on historic Carrollton Avenue, the bus line on Claiborne or the taxi stand on the corner! Robert’s Grocery and Walgreen’s are just 3 blocks away. Mere blocks from historic, yet hip Oak Street, there are dozens of nearby restaurants, bars, coffeehouses and shops. So many things do do in our neighborhood!

This beautiful 100 year old property was completely renovated in 2007. We have a driveway for one car. It has 2 stories, upstairs has two bedrooms with 2 new queen-sized (1 puffy luxe hybrid & 1 Puffy memory foam) beds with high end sheets and comforters. Each bedroom has a TV. Upstairs is a full bathroom with a claw foot tub. The downstairs has a spacious living room, including a couch and a full size futon. The kitchen is furnished with a fridge, dishwasher and gas stove with all of the necessities for great cooking fun! There is a beautiful dining room with a 6ft glass top dining room table that seats six. Downstairs has a new remodeled bathroom, including a gorgeous new shower, and a washer and dryer. The back door walks out to a private patio with a table and chairs, great for morning coffee or a cocktail!

CONVENIENT DRIVE TO ALL ATTRACTIONS:
10 minutes to Jazz festival fairgrounds. And on the bus line. 5 minutes to Audubon Park, Zoo, Tulane and Loyola Universities
7 minutes to Super-Dome and New Orleans Basketball Arena.
10 minutes to Convention Center, Central Business District, D-Day museum, Ogden museum, Contemporary Arts museum, Julia Street art galleries, Harrah's Casino, River Walk , Caribbean cruise line departures & all New Orleans famous restaurants, bars, entertainment.
10 minutes to French Quarter, Cafe du Monde, Jackson Square and festivities.
20 minutes from the airport

Very nice property. Clean, comfortable and close to St. Charles the street car which goes straight to Canal/Bourbon Street area. Also close to local cafes in walking distance. Would stay there again if I went back to NOLA.

This property was clean and in good shape for being an older property with perhaps the most comfortable bed I have slept on in a rental property. The property was well-stocked and the shared pool in the backyard was a nice touch for our youngest son. The property offered a dedicated driveway, which is a great benefit compared to trying to park on the narrow streets! As one not very familiar with NOLA, the property is located in a quiet neighborhood that had no drama during our stay.

The place was very nice and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, as were the towels and linens. I really liked that there was off street parking so that we weren’t searching for parking every time we came back to the house. It was perfect for our dogs and we will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful property exactly as advertised and Lori was a fantastic host. Very comfortable beds, ample everything. The charm and decor is quintessential NOLA. Trolley is a short 3 block walk to get straight to Canal St. if Bourbon Street is your vibe. raccobenos about 6 blocks walking was a perfect breakfast spot and about half mile walk to Paulies deli on Dublin and Oak was well worth the walk. Definitely recommend and will stay again.

The property was exactly as listed, in a cute, quaint uptown neighborhood. The hosts thought of everything, and there were sweet little "extras" everywhere. The bathrooms were stocked full with luxurious towels, extra linens, blankets and pillows. The A/C units worked very well. The back patio was so nice too. Parking was great for one vehicle, off the road (tight parking on the road, but it's New Orleans).

Lori and John were great about everything. They responded quickly to all communication. House is very comfortable and with the street car so close you can get anywhere. Great restaurant in the neighborhood. Definitely would stay there again.

Lori had turned on the ac so were comfortable, the property was clean and welcoming. The location was perfect a short walk to the trolley which took us all the to the French quarter for a whopping 1.25. They were very accommodating

Hi! We are Lori and John. We both love to cook and have a local catering company specializing in Creole cuisine. We love New Orleans and participate in just about everything! Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Essence, Voodoo, and all the fun festivals in between! We have great parks, golf courses, restaurants etc......We are super excited to host this VRBO since 2015 and would love to help with any info about New Orleans and surrounding areas.

We have lived in this Carrollton neighborhood for the last 23 years. It is a wonderful neighborhood with great neighbors and we also have a small park that hosts an Art fair once a month! The grocery store is 3 blks away. We have restaurants, bars, vintage shopping, coffee shops that are within walking distance (6 blks).

Our house has such a New Orleans flair! Gorgeous hard wood floors, vaulted ceiling, claw foot tub. We have made this house warm and comfortable, and of course a great kitchen and dining room for entertaining! This truly is your home away from home! Added bonus is a cute back patio that our past guests have loved.
