The Cottage at 453 Cerrillos, City of Santa Fe Short Term Rental Permit 157845, is a 500 square foot studio cottage with a privatecourtyard, less than three blocks from the Historic Santa Fe Plaza. This beautiful, recently renovated, full kitchen, one queen bed Cottage is part of a classic Santa Fe Compound of buildings dating back to New Mexico's Territorial Period before 1912. The compound at 453 Cerrillos includes The Loft at 453, VRBO #1261468 (1 br/1 bath) and Mae's Casita at 453, VRBO #1562504 (2 br/2 bath). 233 W Manhattan uses the same parking and includes Casa Dominguez (1 br/1 bath) and Circa 1885 (1br/1bath). The property is remarkably quiet given its close proximity to the Santa Fe Railyard District, the Historic Santa Fe Plaza, Canyon Road and the State Capitol grounds. The Cottage is now divided into a complete kitchen with full refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher, range and counter-cooktop, a sleeping area with closet, and a living room and dining area. The bathroom has been sensitively renovated with a large shower, subway tiles and mosaic floor tiles in a vintage style. Off the adjoining private parking lot there is a good sized courtyard shared with a two-person law office. Santa Fe's iconic coffee shop, Ohori's, is across Manhattan Street just steps away. Santa Fe's best bakery, Sage Bakery, is conveniently around the corner. Performance venues Lensic Theater and St. Francis Auditorium as well as Site Santa Fe, New Mexico Museum of Art, the Palace of the Governors and the New Mexico History Museum are all less than a 10 minute walk from the Cottage.

Our commercial laundry service – the same laundry service used by most high-end hotels in Northern New Mexico - uses unscented, hypoallergenic detergent and extremely hot water. Sheets are lightly starched and ironed at 385 degrees.

Sunny and Inviting

This studio apartment is lovely and just what we were looking for during our four nights in Santa Fe. Our host provided beer, wine, cheese, and crackers on the evening of our arrival and there was coffee, tea, and milk to start our morning. The location was perfect with museums, galleries, and restaurants all within walking distance.

Great Location

The location of the cottage is great for walking. It’s between the Plaza and the Railyard and very convenient to access major routes for exploration. Cottage is quite comfortable and the host, Linda, was very responsive and pleasant. At night, we found the space a little bright from exterior lights. In particular light from the motion sensors flooded through the kitchen window, making it a challenge to sleep. At times, the motion sensor flashed on and off for several hours likely because the sensor was picking up wind-blown branches. We thought a heavier shade would solve the problem.

Perfect

Location was perfect for me. A nice distance from either the Railyard and the Downtown Plaza but a quick walk to either. The cottage was just enough for me. Nice efficiency kitchen, comfy bed, good entry and couch area, and bathroom was well appointed. Overall I was happy with my stay!

Loved the property and location!

This apartment was well maintained, a short walk to the plaza, and the owners provided all we needed for our stay. LOVED the wine, cheese and beer provided for us when we arrived. Would definitely rent from them again.

close to everything

First impressions mean a lot. The owner, Lance, was so kind, he met us when we arrived, helped carried suitcases in and chatted with us. That really set the tone for the trip. Little extras like a bottle of wine, a couple of bottles of beer, cheese and crackers were a nice touch. When traveling we typically do a supermarket trip so we can make breakfast and lite suppers at the VRBO and have a bigger meal out for lunch during our day out, this place had every thing we needed for that(except a toaster.) nice coffee shop across the street, wonderful bakery down the block "Sage Bakehouse", and a great Brew Pub about 2-3 minute walk down Manhattan St. Bed comfortable, bath and shower perfect. The weather was hot for us so the cooling unit didn't really keep it cool enough for sleeping. On well, can't control the weather. Lots of good restaurants and shopping in walking distance, love that! We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Linda and Lance for such a lovely place.

A Week in Santa Fe

What a wonderful place to spend a week. Very comfortable, clean and in a great location. We could walk everywhere. A big thanks to the hosts for starting our stay with a bottle of wine, crackers, cheese and a binder full of wonderful suggestions.

Above and beyond help

The unit was as advertised. Great location. We had a great stay. Clean and comfortable with a couple of beers, wine, cheese and crackers upon arrival. The owner happened to be around when we had a problem with our rental car. He couldn’t have been more helpful! He actually left his office to go home and get jumper cables for us. We highly recommended staying here!

Well appointed rental attached to a commercial building. Location was quiet. Interior was small but well stocked and clean. 0 complaints. 10 minute walk to pretty much everything. Would visit again.

Just as hoped for

The cottage was just right for us. It had everything we needed. The location is 15 minute walk to the Plaza and even closer to the Railyard. The host left us nice treats, wine and beer. Unfortunately we never had a chance to partake. It was a nice, welcoming gesture. Thank you.

Perfect location and all the amenities

Short walk to both the Plaza and Railyard, with ample parking behind the cottage. Immaculate, comfortable, stylish and extremely quiet, especially considering the in-town location. Full kitchen with every amenities. Friendly and helpful hosts. Highly recommended for single travelers or couples.

10 days in Santa Fe

We had a lovely time in Santa Fe. The Cottage is in a fantastic location for walking to restaurants and shops. The best coffeeshop in Santa Fe is across the street! The kitchen is small and minimally equipped for a 10-day stay, but we made simple meals with no problem. Linda and Lance were great hosts, very welcoming and responded to our questions very quickly. Thank you!!
