Step into historical elegance with enchanting art and decor at this expansive 2 bedroom, 2 bath home at La Posada de Taos Inn. Every detail has been thoughtfully planned for your stay. Each of the 2 large bedrooms with en suite private baths welcome you to the character and hospitality of Taos. The stocked kitchen and adjoining cheerful dining area are comfortable for gatherings and conversation over cooking anytime of day. Furnishings and art from around the world adorn the Loft collected by the owners in their journeys.

There are several unique spaces available for rent on our property. La Posada de Taos can offer space for up to 25 guests. Please ask about accommodating family gatherings and larger groups for your next visit with us.

Our Historic adobe home is naturally cool even in the warm temperatures of June here. We do have an evaporative cooling system in the middle living area of the home for additional cooling and it works very well. Our evenings in Taos are definitely cooler but with the added cooling system, almost chilly! Be assured you will have nice, cool evenings with the combination of both.

Perfect Taos Stay

We loved staying close to town and the authentic New Mexico vibe of the place. House was cozy. Kitchen was sufficient for cooking in. Easy walk to the plaza. Great communication with property manager.

We loved the place! Clean. Close to town. Beautifully decorated. There was noise next door one night and the property manager fixed the problem immediately. Would stay here again.

Great lication

This was a nicely appointed and clean apartment. The location was perfect as it was a short walk to the Taos Plaza. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely return there when visiting Taos.

Taos getaway

My husband and I plus another couple stayed 3 nights. We found the apartment very clean and comfortable and admired all the folk art decor. A few minor problems, such as internet connection, microwave connection, and a hot water heater issue, were quickly resolved by the property manager. The location was perfect, with easy access to downtown Taos. We would gladly stay again and recommend this place to others.

Nice Decor

We were impressed with the artifacts and decor. The location is a short walk to the plaza. The internet never was available throughout our stay and when we contacted the manager she said it was down throughout Taos. This appeared not to be so when we were in the Plaza. A person in our party had to submit a report for work which caused us to scramble to find an alternative. On our last night, we discovered there was no hot water. Since it was late, we thought hot water would be restored by the morning. It was not and our early departure required us to take cold showers.

Taos Family Annual Gathering

Exactly as displayed on VRBO I NEEDED to get one member in EARLY for a rest. The ladies were still cleaning the property but allowed us to enter the portion that was already prepared. This certainly set the tone to enjoy our stay.

Love It

Comfortable and enjoy cooking meals in the with equipped kitchen. Beds were great and comfortable. We enjoyed playing card games at the table. Very easy stay and we all want to come back and stay here again. We came from California and Kansas and would more drive this fair again for this easy to stay VRBO. Louisia was really nice and we could call for anything that was needed.

The Essence of Taos

La Posada de Taos is a near perfect place to stay in Taos. The property is in an excellent location and fantastically decorated in the southwest style. Also, the kitchen is well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. It would be hard to ask for more in a vacation rental.

Great Stay Close to the Plaza!

We loved our stay! La Posada de Taos was comfortable, and we had all we needed! The beds were comfy and there was plenty of space to just sit and relax! This was our second visit to this property and we will definitely be back again!

Charming LaPosada

My sister was visiting from Florida and we decided to take a few days to Taos. Everything from the arrival to departure was absolutely perfect. The special attention to decor in this unit is outstanding! Kitchen was stocked, bathroom towels were plush. It is spotless, quiet and tucked away in a small neighborhood. I will definitely return to this gem!

Great Location, NOT ADA ready! Stay elsewhere!

I have had a back surgery and knee surgery in the past 12 months. Though the listing states it is a 2nd floor unit, the listing should have explicitly said, "Not ADA ready!" It was brutal for me to get the luggage up and down the stairs. The location was great, but the unit was dusty and had many spiders roaming about. All of the knives in the kitchen were so dull one could not cut butter with them. Tried to reach the management several times and got voice mail and no response. A 3-star rating is generous (a maximum of 2.5, really). Of the many VRBO's we have stayed around the world, this was, by far, the overall worst.

Splendid getaway on a quiet street

The location of La Posada is excellent, as are the on-site amenities. Except for groceries and KOKO Coffee, the apartment was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do around town. We brought our own coffee pot and electric kettle, but both were available on the premises. We stayed Mon-Wed, and many places were closed, so bear that in mind when you book. The hosts/manager were responsive and helpful. A few days before we were meant to arrive, a medical appt was unexpectedly rescheduled and we thought we were not going to be able to check-in before dark. The manager made sure all the outdoor lights would be on so that we would have an easy time negotiating the outside stairs, as well as accessing the front door and lockbox. On Tuesday morning the shower curtain came down. Allen wrenches were needed to put it back up. Louisa, the manager, had maintenance on the scene within 15 minutes. The job was finished by the time we got back from our outing. There are plenty of outlets in the apartment for charging electronics (our party was made up of four adults, each of whom needed to do some website updates and other work-from-home activities while we were there). Our only surprise was being startled by a loud voice talking on a telephone on the other side of a locked door in the master bedroom on Tue afternoon when trying to take a nap. Otherwise, the apt was a peaceful, quiet retreat. We would book La Posada again, and have already recommended it to friends.

Cheerfully Decorated! Great Location!

Large comfortable rooms with cheerful decorations. Lots of natural light. Property was very clean. Outside gardens were very beautiful. Lots of outside seating. Within easy walking distance to Taos plaza and shopping areas.

Great local ambiance

What a delightful location! Walking distance to the Taos Plaza and wonderful shopping and restaurants. It was very quiet and beautiful decor. We could not have been happier with our experience.

Great location and place

Perfect stay for two couples with two bedrooms, both ensuite. Location was close to everything but in a quiet area (especially as school was out - it's near a school). Would stay there again!

Nice but problems

Firstly, this is a lovely property with a great location. The on site manager is terrific. The problems we encountered were: 1. the cable was out and would not be repaired until after our visit. Suggest owner have a VCR for guests instead of listing cable as an accommodation. Our understanding is that cable is out frequently in Taos so should not be listed as an accommodation. We were disappointed as we are out all day and part of evening and enjoy movies, news etc as nightly entertainment. 2. There were flying ants that came out of the crack in the ceiling beam in the living room. They were sprayed by the maintenance manager, dead bodies swept up by housekeeping while we were out. When we came home we were responsible for sweeping up the dead bodies. Yuk. Creepy. 3. The front pocket screen door does not work. The lock box prohibits it from closing. What an eye sore plus the potential for more bugs to enter. Window in one of the bedrooms did not open due to broken hinge and bathroom window is broken. Would have liked to have opened these windows for cross ventilation while sleeping. 4. The downstairs unit was cleaned and sprayed for bugs while we were in the unit. We were literally gassed out of the living area.
