Amazing

This condo is wonderful. We stayed 3 weeks and the view every morning on the lanai for breakfast and dinner was one of the ocean waves crashing on the rocks and the sound of the ocean which we enjoy. Also you can sit out on the rocks to view the sunset. We throigh,y enjoy and Woukd recommend it to anyone. Also the host is amazing also. We have stated there many times and always try to go back to this condo.

Wonderful Stay At Kanaloa at Kona #2503

Booking and communication were easy, and we appreciated the flexible check-in and check-out. The condo was exactly as described, with a beautiful lanai and ocean view. Morning Kona coffee on the lanai—listening to the waves and watching the ocean—was a highlight, along with the spectacular sunsets. We were especially glad to have AC after hot excursions. The location was perfect: an easy drive to Kailua-Kona and Captain Cook/Two Step, with Keauhou Shopping Center nearby. The welcome basket, full kitchen, and spacious layout were particularly nice. We’re ocean people, so we skipped the pools, but they looked inviting and well enjoyed. A relaxing, comfortable Hawaiʻi stay—we loved it.

Family trip

My recent day in Hawaii was wonderful! My husband and I went with our son and his family. He and I stayed in Karen‘s condo. It was well furnished, and the view couldn’t have been any better. We went without nothing. The hurricane came during our stay. We had to extend our stay and Rocco was there immediately for all of our requests. Everything we needed they provided . We could not have asked for a better host! Not sure if I’ll ever make it to Hawaii again but if I did, that’s where I’d stay!

The front lanai overlooked the ocean-side pool and then a great view of sunsets over the Pacific. The lanai was only about 200' from the ocean. The community was very safe and quiet. The condo is in good condition and well furnished. The AC worked well. Having a washer/dryer combo available in the condo was a huge perk! We have absolutely NO complaints. Our stay was very enjoyable.

Epic time

Pictures don't do this condo enough justice. First of all, every sunset from the living room lanai was gorgeous. The condo overlooks the Ocean pool and then the Pacific Ocean behind it. The condo was equipped with everything we needed for our stay, including an Igloo to store drinks , inflatable tube for wading, beach chairs and most importantly WiFi! I am so fortunate we were able to stay in this unit because apparently the recent Hurricane had affected the quality of the local beaches. I have zero complaints, the correspondence with the owner/ steward was timely and respectful. I would recommend this condo specifically this unit to anyone who stays in Kona! Last bit, my sister was staying at Kanaloa as well but didn't have half the view we had. She spent most evenings staring out the window at ours 😂. Mahalo! See you around!

This is a beautiful condo and view of the oceanThe kitchen is well furnished and thoughtfully arranged. The grounds are beautiful, we enjoyed the pool, ping-pong, cornhole and pickle ball. The welcome fruit basket was a wonderful surprise.

The is a wonderful p,a e to stay. The ocean view is fantastic and you feel right at home with this Cindi. This is the second time we have stayed I. This particular unit and it is wonderful. We always try to get this unit if available

Overall poor condition in urgent need of basic repairs, such as both bathrooms, patio sliding doors and screen, electrical outlets etc. Bottom quartile as far as units we have rented on VRBO.

We’ve been to Kona about 20 times and for the first time stayed down in Kehoe Bay. We usually stay further north on Ali Drive. The facilities at Kanaloa were immaculate. Generally we stay in condos that appear a little rundown and dated, but this place is spotless. The view from our condo was absolutely spectacular. The facility had three pools and all were nice. When we arrived, we received a Welcome gift basket full of local treats. Everything about the condo was perfect and we will definitely be back.

Amazing Sunsets

We had such a great 10 day vacation at this condo! From the beautifully landscaped and well maintained grounds, to the relaxing pools and even tennis and pickleball courts! Our balcony provided us the best views of the sunset every night. The condo is well equipped with everything you need including beach supplies. I would highly recommend this location and would love to be able to come back and stay here again.

Finally! The perfect location

We finally found the perfect Kona location. We have been to the Big Island several times and have always been frustrated with our accommodations. This time it was perfect. The unit was spacious and had an awesome view of the ocean. It was also quiet with no street noise. We had a great time.

Great views and location

We liked the location, still in Kona but not in the real touristy part. Pool and hot tub right near room. The ocean view was a nice perk. I wouldn't say you could really access the ocean from the complex but there is a short walk to a nice cove. And great snorkeling and surfing beaches in a short drive. Hosts were very responsive and friendly. We would stay again. AC was nice too on evenings lacking wind.

Beautiful Views from the Lanai

The actual grounds are very well maintained. The pool was one of the best we experienced in Kona. The condo is nice and roomy but dated. It is of wood construction, so can be noisy if they are guests on the floor above your unit. The bed was very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced.

Awesome stay

This is such an awesome place to stay. We stayed there for 3 weeks and it was fabulous. The room itself was great and very comfortable. The view is a million dollar view. Every morning. We were able to sit outside and have breakfast with a great view of the ocean. Also we were able to sit by the ocean and watch the sunset every night. Karen is such a great hostess. Renting was a breeze and everything was perfect. We will definitely be back. We have been to the big island many times and this was by far the best condo we have ever stayed in. ❤️

Perfect Spot

The condo is well furnished and very well maintained. The view of the ocean from the unit’s lanai is striking. There is a gentle ocean cross breeze often blowing through the unit. All of the units appliances, kitchen ware and consumer electronics are state of the art and up to date. I just completed my fifth stay at the condo and with each succeeding visit, I notice the owner’s focus on continually improving the property. He is gracious and genuinely concerned with his guests enjoying their visit. The only issue that might be a concern for some with mobility issues is that it is a second floor unit with no elevator, just stairs so a wheelchair or crutches could be a problem. Otherwise, it is a perfect spot!

The location is wonderful and a very nice resort, well kept up and maintaining that Hawaii ambience and culture. Condo was very comfortable, especially bed and well stocked kitchen for enjoying meals on the balcony/lanai. My only complaint was that I was not informed of the extra cost of air-conditioning (ie not included). Personally I don't like air-conditioning and it really is unnecessary down by the ocean with ocean breezes. I tried contact management but they were unresponsive on this point. I did not use the air-conditioning yet paid quite a bit of extra money which as I said was not noted in the advertisement. Check out all the extra costs before booking.

amazing view and hospitality of owner

I stayed for 4 nights and the most impressive part is its view. I have never stayed with such an amazing ocean view. unit was spacious for 2 with a plenty of towel and well cleaned. Another amazing part is the owner, Ali's hospitality. When checked in, I found a basketful of fruits and local items showing welcome. And when I couldn't find a coffee filter, Ali bought them the next morning with a welcoming smile, which impressed me very much and thank him a lot. If I make a picky comment, the sliding windows to the lanai were so stubborn that I had difficult to open and close them. However in total, I definitely stay in this unit next time.

Sunset view is spectacular

We love the location of this condo. The owner was responsive to our questions right away. We were surprised with a lovely fruit basket waiting for us upon our arrival. We would definitely rent this condo again.
