Great home!

A great retreat close to Mt. Bachelor. We really enjoyed the proximity to the mountain during our ski trip in this cozy home that feels like a cabin on the inside. Our kids loved the game console, as well as the bunk beds, and my wife and I enjoyed the hot tub to relax and recoup. All of the amenities to make this a great vacation home.

Beautiful home in a beautiful area!

Beautiful home is a great area of Sunriver. Outside of the touristy area but close to all the attractions. Spent most of the on or near the river.

We really enjoyed Christy's house. It had all the kitchen goodies we needed. All the beds were comfortable. It was a heat wave when we were there. The AC worked very well. This house is located near the Fall River (20 min) for prime fly fishing. Sun River Resort is 5 minutes away for groceries and dining. It is in a very quiet subdivision with an unoccupied lot next door. Christy was very responsive to all my emails. Only negative was no usable darts for the dart board. We would come back again.

Your house is very beautiful and peaceful.

We really enjoyed our stay. All the amenities were great. The home is beautifully furnished. It was a short drive to MT Bachelor. Close to everything. We enjoyed the hot tub and playing board games. We even took an evening walk in the snow. We had a peaceful and relaxing vacation. We will definately be back soon.

Excellent location and layout

Excellent location and layout of the home- I love that it is one level; especially with little ones! Positives are the fact the owner responded to questions right away and we got to play in the snow right outside the home! There was also enough room to park our two cars (once we moved the bikes and game table over slightly). The gas fireplace is great! We stayed here about a year ago and at that time, I would have given it 5 stars, but since then I would recommend many items to be fixed/replaced. I do understand that if the owner isn't notified or doesn't stay there often, then they might not be aware of these things, so that is why I'm including everything so it can be better for the people that stay next : ) The toaster needs to be replaced (only one side works and stays down). New pans are needed. It would also be nice if the home was stocked with pepper (there was none in the shaker), salt (a little in the shaker) and maybe even cooking spray (none was there at all). When we got there, the handsoap pump was down to the bottom in the kitchen and the front bathroom one was filled partially with water. However, there was bar soap provided. The towels seem to be the same ones from a year ago- I'm one who likes rough towels, but these ones were like sandpaper and desperately need to be replaced. The couches compared to a year ago need to be replaced. We couldn't sit comfortably at all. Our backs were all hurting from the amount we were sinking into the couches and chairs. We did use the BBQ and hot tub both once. It would have been nice if they were cleared from snow before our arrival- especially since it hadn't snowed for quite a few days before we got there and wasn't supposed to snow anytime soon. The hot tub controls need to be fixed (you can hardly get the buttons to push and jets to come on and the control itself is not glued on the hot tub and coming off). The jets hardly had any pressure coming out- disappointing when you're expecting jets that work. My parents stayed in the bedroom with I believe it is a double bed and that bed sinks in the middle along with the bottom bunk bed (my two kids shared and where sinking towards each other)- those mattresses could probably stand to be replaced. The interior walls and baseboards of the home really need to be cleaned and probably painted...very worn. If these things were fixed, I'd probably have given the home a 5 star rating. I would like to come back again if these things are improved :

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The master bedroom was perfect, as was the kitchen, dining

(Cont) room and living room spaces. Loved the gas fire. The problems were having to get another coffee maker because the first one leaked and the double bed mattress was NOT comfortable. Great garage and laundry room set up. It would have been nice to have room for two cars in the garage. The bikes,etc were in the way for a second car. Despite the negatives the positives far out weighed.

Very nice home!

The home was well appointed and conveniently located! Parking is a bit tricky with large vehicle (Dually, long bed with crew cab), but the smaller passenger cars managed just great!

Beautiful property, great amenties, close to Sun River activites

Very comfortable home for our visit. We had 6 adults and one child. The villages @ Sun River were convenient, as were other destinations. The hot tub was a great amenity, especially for those who spent several hours traveling. Highly recommend!

Wonderful, family-friendly home!

We found this home to be very comfortable for our two families of four (children ages 1 1/2, 4, 5, and 8). There are no stairs as it is a ranch stylehome. We found the beds to be comfortable and the kitchen had a good assortment of cookware. The owner was very responsive and provided a high chair, bikes for kids and adults, and the basic toiletries you need for your stay. I would definitely stay here again. The location is quiet and there is plenty of room for parking.

Beautiful!

We had so much fun in this beautiful cabin. We enjoyed coffee on the porch in the rocking chairs each morning. We saw deer travel through the yard every evening. We loved the game closet, bikes, hot tub and the foosball table was a hit! There are plenty of things to do in the area and we returned each day to the comfort of this cabin in the woods. Many wonderful family memories were made during our stay. Can't wait to return~

Wonderful. But!!!

Overall the house was great. Nice and clean. Quiet area. Only draw back was ALL the beds were very uncomfortable and the frying pans need to be replaced.

Great stay at a wonderful place

The house was exactly as advertised and we had a wonderful stay. The place is very spacious, had all the necessary amenities, and great extras like the hot tub and bikes (we brought our own - next time we will save that hassle!). The Master Bedroom mattress was pretty firm, but still very comfy home. Lots of room, very clean, well maintained, and tastefully decorated. I would totally recommend this rental to my friends and family. I hope to return again and will inquire about this property first thing!

Great rental and well equipped

This is a very lovely home that was well equipped for our needs. Two families shared the home. We were in town for a baseball tournament and during our down time we played board games, enjoyed the hot tub and riding the bicycles around the neighborhood. The surrounding area is very nice. We highly recommend this rental.

Had a marvelous time as usual

The home is well maintained and comfortable

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your home. It was clean and comfortable. The only issues I ran into was the pots and pans had lost all of their "non-stick" surface which made it difficult to cook certain things however, the kitchen itself was well stocked with essentials for cooking/eating. The location is great for Sunriver and Mt. Bachelor.

Very comfortable!

The Whispering Pine Lodge was a great fit for our family vacation. We loved the amenities and the convenient location! There was a slight snafu but Christy quickly corrected it. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to our friends and family:)!

Whispering Pine Lodge

A great place to stay, close to Sunriver resort and mt. bachelor. A great one level home, great for kids. They do have a water softener, so it would be good to bring bottled water to drink. Their hot tub was clean and nice to use- especially after a hard day of snow sledding : ) The wifi works great too. We brought our chrome-cast to stream movies, but there is a dvd/vhs player to use as well.
