Stunning Kona home with salt water pool will take your breath away

Floor to ceiling window walls retract completely to let you take in the view of the serene Pacific, and enjoy true indoor-outdoor living. Relax by the salt-water pool surrounded by tropical plants and flowers. Pick fresh papayas, citrus and passionfruit (lilikoi) from your own garden. Dangle your feet in the water from your chaise lounge on the Bahama shelf. Inside, there's a gourmet kitchen with gas range, wine cooler and everything else you need to enjoy good times with family and friends. Each bedroom has its own en suite bath, so complete privacy can be had by all guests. Main house has three bedrooms and sleeps 6. Separate ohana is a 1BR/1BA efficiency unit with king size bed and its own kitchenette. All rooms open to the exterior to allow the trade winds to naturally cool the whole house. Located on a cul de sac in a quiet, gated community, yet only a 5 minute drive down the hill to Kona proper and the farmer's market. World class snorkeling, beaches, kayaking and hiking are all within a short drive. The Big Island is home to historic heiaus, cultural museums and the fascinating geology of the volcano.

We rented the property to accomodate a family gathering of my wife and I and our 3 adult children and their spouses. The property was perfect as a home post for our Hawaii trip. The rooms and bathrooms were excellent and the kitchen was great for our breakfasts. The pool was also a welcome retreat for when we weren't otherwise out and about snorkeling, hiking, etc.

Nice house and location, great setup for our family of 6. Great little reading nook in the master bedroom. Check in process and property managers were very responsive. Enjoyed the beach equipment.Very comfortable stay.Screen door to outside still does not fully latch.Overall a great experience, comfortable stay, nice furnishing, would stay here again!

The perfect hub for 3 generations of our family during a 10-day stay at Kona. Plenty of common space for activities and the pool was a popular base for the kids. The location is definitely residential, so felt more like a guest than a tourist. Management received us on site and provided plenty of support with questions and recommendations, before and during our stay. Highly recommend!

Beautiful retreat

I stayed at this property with my family, including elderly mother. The house was spacious, lovely, immaculate. Quiet neighborhood. Beautiful, inviting pool.Property managers were responsive, friendly and helpful.We will be back!

Nice House and Great Location

We visited for a wedding and planned sightseeing while on the big island. The house was very comfortable and conveniently located to everything in Kona. Having en suite bathrooms in each of the bedrooms was a plus and the beds were very comfortable. The saltwater pool was very nice. The kitchen was set up with all utensils, plates, etc., for our eating needs. We highly recommend this property if you are considering visiting Kona.

Outstanding property

We just spent ten days at Kona bubbles during the Ironman World Champs. This home was the perfect base for our group. Spacious, clean, plenty of bathrooms, plenty of towels, great laundry facilities, well equipped kitchen and the pool was well enjoyed. The home is perfectly set up for guests with everything you could need. The hosts were friendly and responsive. If we ever came back to Kona we would definitely be booking Kona Bubbles again. Thanks for sharing your special place with us.

Lovely

Property manager met us at site when we arrived for a tour and explanation of how everything worked. Nice touch. Beautiful water views and sunsets. Loved 2 buildings for privacy. Lots and lots of breeze with many screen doors and windows. Loved proximity to town but peace and gorgeous views from house. Beautifully furnished.

Highly Recommend!!! Stunning home and gracious hosts!!!!

My family and I stayed here all together!! Prior to our stay, the owners Dan and Regina were extremely responsive to our messages and super accommodating. The property manager Blake met us at the property at the beginning of our stay and gave us a tour of the home and ensured we were stocked with sufficient toiletries, paper towels, etc., and even made a run to the store for a few extra things!! This was extremely appreciated as we didn’t have to worry about grabbing laundry detergent or anything similar on our vacation. The awesome thing about this house is every room has its own full bathroom!! So wonderful!!! Beautiful and well-laid our property and the pool is super nice!! Not only are you enjoying the beautiful island of Hawaii, but you can enjoy it from this beautiful home!!! Thank you so much Dan and Regina for opening your home to my family and I!! We had the most wonderful time and now have awesome family memories to look back on! And thanks Blake for ensuring our stay was cozy and early entry to the property was seamless! Mahalo Nui Loa!!!

Nice Kona home

House is in a great location, it does get quite hot due to no A/C even with all windows open and fans going. There is a couple rats that live in the outdoor couch behind the cushions just an FYI with lots of droppings all over the couch and table. Pots and pans still have old food on them so be sure to wash before use, don’t use the BBQ as it caught fire due to so much grease inside. The bedding still had someone else’s drool on the pillows and hard stuff on the sheets but you cannot wash them because there is no laundry detergent supplied so bring your own. Be sure to ask if there is any maintenance or cleaning scheduled during your stay. We had a pool day planned at the house at the same time someone was hired to pressure wash the driveway and roof all day, spraying dirt and debris all over the pool deck, our stuff and our jeep which was not cleaned up afterwards. And the noise of a gas pressure washer all day while trying to enjoy the outdoors or putting your 2 year old for a nap is not what we signed up for.We have stayed in a VRBO in Oahu this year and over a month in a VRBO in Maui and have never felt the need to write a review until now.We did receive a small fruit basket for having to deal with the pressure washer situation and the management company has offered to send us back 200 for the overall inconvenience.

Beautiful Home, Excellent Views, Wonderful Stay!

We loved our stay at Kona Bubbles. I was celebrating my 40th birthday with my husband and 6 of our best friends. We really enjoyed that there were 4 bedrooms with their own bathrooms and no single beds / bunk beds / couch sleeping options. The location and privacy of the house was also great. We really enjoyed being so close to Kona and Costco and Safeway. The house was well equipped with plenty of amenities so we were able to cook a lot of meals at the house and just hang out. Overall we would recommend Kona Bubbles. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Great for families

Kona Bubbles is a beautiful, comfortable house. The privacy and security was a big plus. It is conveniently located but away from the hubbub of the nightlife.

Excellent views, welcoming home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kona Bubbles! Such a beautiful home! We were able to relax and spend quality time during our first trip to the island. The check in walk through was a little much, but overall very helpful to learn all the needed information for your stay to make it more enjoyable! Easy check in and check out processes made ending our trip much more relaxed! Definitely recommend staying here to anyone that is looking to relax, enjoy the views, and not have to deal with beach sand to go swimming!

Blissful retreat

Kona Bubbles is a beautiful, well-appointed home in a safe, quiet neighborhood. It was spacious, clean and comfortable and we loved the back patio and pool for those in our family who didn’t want to be at the beach every day. It’s located on the best side of the island for traveling to multiple gorgeous beaches for sunning and snorkeling, including Kua Bay that’s just 20 minutes away. (Don’t miss the sunsets there!) We’ll treasure the family memories we made on The Big Island! Thank you for sharing Kona Bubbles with us.

Beautiful home and great location!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bubbles. It is a beautiful home with great layout. The house has amazing views and the backyard oasis with the pool is amazing. The house had plenty of linen as well as beach equipment. The house manager Blake was quick in responding when we needed assistance the one time. We loved our Big Island vacation at the Bubbles!!!

Gorgeous property with a fabulous view. Great spaces for hanging out. Very well-equipped kitchen. Good neighborhood. Very cool outdoor shower with master bedroom. Great master bedroom suite with sitting space, huge closet and lovely bathroom. An unforgettable vacation house.

a perfect paradise

This home was perfect for our group. We had 2 mother in laws, an aunt and a 9 year old. Everyone had their own bathroom and the setting just couldn't be more perfect. Located up the hill from Kona, there were gorgeous breezes to cool off the midday heat. The swimming pool was glorious. It's a perfect COVID getaway, you can cook in the home or order take out and eat in perfect surroundings. We never really wanted to leave the house! The landscaping was just phenomenal, with fruit trees around the property to enjoy. Thank you for such a wonderful getaway in a time when we really needed it. Although the process to get to Kona had various layers due to COVID testing, it was completely worth it to know we were all landing COVID free and not carrying anything with us to the wonderful people of Hawaii. Once we got there, it was so relaxing.

Kona Bubbles was great

One of the few places we have stayed that was well supplied and everything worked.The decor was beautiful and every day noticed something great.It was sad that we had to leave 9 days early because of COVID-19. Looking forward to a time when we can return and enjoy the property again .Maholo

We have recently fulfilled a dream by purchasing this island home, and are looking forward to retiring here as soon as our two daughters are through high school in 2 years. Regina is a naturopathic doctor, acupuncturist and former midwife with 22 years of clinical experience. Dan managed the family's clothing manufacturing business for 25 years before shifting over to the property management business 17 years ago.

Hawaii has been a magical destination for Dan ever since he was fortunate enough to come to this island with his family when he was a child. He brought me here to get married 18 years ago and that was it!
We fell in love with both the Big Island and Kauai. When it came time to chose a place to settle down and retire, we were drawn by Dan's fond memories of Kona Village and having the family all together. We hope to share our house with you so you can make fond memories with your families, too.
