Entire cottage, two bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, kitchen/family room with sofa bed, laundry room, deck, with private parking. The cottage is quiet and relaxing with birds, deer, black bear and other animals, but safe and relaxing. Near Concord U., Winter Place Ski Resort, Pipestem SP, Bluestone Dam, Sandstone Falls, Mathena Center, Princeton, Bramwell, Hatfield McCoy Trail. Applachian Trail. Also near Pearisburg, Pembroke and Wythville, VA., Wolford Haus Theatre. Mt. Lake Resort and not far from Greenbrier Hotel. Also near fitness centers and spas.

Beautiful

Very relaxing little home. Had my pups so I cosed the one bedroom we didnt use but everything was there you needed. The nature and wildlife was a pleasant change. Definitely recommend.

Another great stay!

This was our second stay at Red Bird Cottage and once again, it was wonderful! Convenient location for us between the beach and home, comfortable home with the right amount of space for our family.

Red Bird Cottage is perfect for a small family...

Miss Anita's Red Bird Cottage is one of the best places we have stayed. Everything we needed was there. Communication was spot on. I do believe we have found out happy place for future stopovers.

Cute cottage

The cottage is cute and very clean. It is in a fairly remote area but it is quiet. Anita was very communicative and answered all questions quickly. The access to the highway is not the best - very winding narrow roads.

Quaint cottage

It is a very quaint little cottage. It is on a very twisty turning road to get to but when there it is very cute. East to get to Animal Care Center Princeton WV, Dr. Browns office. Has everything you need. Will stay again.

A beautiful cottage, with access to all, shopping, state park, and restaurants.

Anita is a wonderful lady, with a great smile. She welcomed us to her cottage and has a picture of her which has her background of her events in her life. She also has a scrapbook of close adventures and restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay. Very clean, quiet, lots of songbirds and squirrels. It was stocked with movies, coffee and tea bags, a few sodas, and brownies. WiFi was great. We got to play games with my 85 year old mom in the kitchen. We went the wrong direction (my fault), but Anita’s directions were easy from I-77. We look forward to our next visit!

Mostly positive. Thick dust in corners, etc. Windows were opened as requested, but two had no screens, so flying insects were inside.

Adorable property

Sad to say, we could only stay one night! My husband and our teenage son were in town for a class reunion. This property is incredibly convenient to Concord University and the town of Athens. It is a great launch point for Pipestem State Park, Hinton, West Virginia, and Princeton, West Virginia. Lots to explore in the area! The property was very clean, and comfortable. The pantry was well stocked with necessities, and there was plenty of cookware and flatware for use. Directions were easy and the property manager was very easy to reach. We will definitely be back as we are back in the area a few times a year. So glad to find some thing other than a stale hotel room.
