Modern 3-Bed Gulfront Condo at Calypso Overlooking the Gulf!

The Calypso Resort is the beaches finest and newest beach resort, right across the street from Pier Park. Located on the west end of the beach at 15817 Front Beach Rd. This area of the beach is very family friendly. Calypso has two gorgeous free-form pools which are directly on the beach. The resort also offers tropical landscaping, a tiki bar, and a fitness center. All units are Gulf front with large balconies. This unit has 1 king, 1 queen, 1set of bunks (full on bottom twin on top), and a sleeper sofa. The unit sleeps 8 people. All top of the line appliances and it's furnished lavishly. Come and enjoy all the amenities of this great resort.


Parking passes are $60 each (max 2 per unit). Eight wristbands are included in your reservation. If any wristbands are not returned, there will be a charge of $75 per wristband.

We read the reviews and were intimidated by them first, but the property was wonderful. Does need small upgrades but overall it was absolutely beautiful time and wonderful memories! Communication was amazing as well. Thank you! Anya B.

The door code stopped working thirty minutes before checkout, leading to us having to call the host multiple times to get back into the room. We checked out late as a result.

The worst condo I've ever experienced! GOD AWFUL SMELL, It smelled like pure cat piss on the carpet in the master bedroom and the master closet walls were covered in mold! There was a receptacle in the living room without a cover on it and my 2 year old would of had her fingers in it if we wouldn't of been paying attention! It was like pulling teeth trying to communicate with LSI and we had to beg to get some kind of refund which still is in question because they won't respond anymore! THIS CONDO IS PISS POOR, ITS AN EMBARRASSMENT AND NO FAMILY DESERVES TO HAVE TO STAY IN A PLACE LIKE THIS!

The property was not well kept AT ALL. The floor was dirty. Under the couches was extremely dirty. Half of the lightbulbs throughout the property especially in the bathrooms were all blown out. Everything provided in the unit was as cheap as possile. Paper thin towels and washcloths, kitchen glasses that sweat through each glass onto the surface they are sitting on. The unit also provided broken body surf boards in the closet. Just overall not a well kept unit in terms of cleanliness or amenities.

Had a slight hiccup with fridge but everything worked out for the best. Older unit but perfect location and view! Upgraded tvs in master/living. Beach chairs and toys for the kids. All in all, great family trip. Fireworks for new years off pier with great view from room.

Great location. Easy walk to Pier Park. Easy communication with host/mgt co. No issues. Room needs a little work (paint, carpet, cabinet refacing), but other than that, I would stay there again.

Had an enjoyable time. Pool, tiki bar was an excellent bonus. Condo more spacious than we thought. Kitchen amenities could use a few updates, such as glasses, spoons, dishcloth and dish towels. Various spices would be appreciated as customers don’t know what to bring until they arrive. Location was close to everything.

We enjoyed our stay. We had a problem with the A/C but the rental company responded quickly and repaired it. The rest of our time was great.

I don’t think there’s enough space for me to list what I was wrong with this property. First of all don’t rent this place. It is filthy. It took us three days to get a major issue taken care of. We had several issues a lot of of them being cleanliness and sanitation. The other things were broken. My first complaint is you go through Vrbo to book this and you communicate with no one through this company they I had communications going between three different emails and communications.. every time I told him something was wrong. They would be very nice and tell me that they would let someone know and then when I would tell him they never showed up they would say we are so sorry. We sincerely apologize blah blah blah we asked for at least half back of what we had paid and they were giving us a little measly 125. The location is great. The view is great. The complex is probably great but this unit is disgusting.
Dirty dishes, standing in water, standing in the bottom dishwasher, no telling how long it had been there. The stench was terrible.
The sheets didn’t appear clean
Knob on microwave or handle was broken could not use

PCB Florida

The condo was immaculate with big bedrooms and fully furnished with everything we needed especially in the kitchen. The balcony was also big with excellent beach view from living room and master bedroom. Specious living room and hallway. The tile floors easy to clean The swimming pool was very nice especially for all ages seniors and children. The only suggestion i have is to add a jacuzzi in tower I. Tower III had a jacuzzi. Thank you so much for an enjoyable stay.

Family vacation

Furniture are old and tv can use an upgrade. Door to the balcony did not lock. We had a problem with the packing deck bar code but respond was quick. There was sand small trash on floor but Everything else perfect.

- [ ] Front desk was rude- [ ] Our wristbands didn’t have a chip to get in the pool. We were not given the code. Tried to call the number on our parking pass and it’s a wrong number. (Inactive). When I called the number on the Vrbo website I had to leave a message. They WILL NOT call you back. - [ ] I had purchased an additional parking pass. The host sent an email with both my passes. They were actually a duplicate. When we arrived after midnight, our pass to get in the gate did not work.- [ ] Toilet was dirty in master bedroom. - [ ] Dirty dish rag in sink when we arrived. - [ ] Vape and food found under bed when we arrived. - [ ] When in middle shower, toilet in master bedroom runs- [ ] washing machine can only hold a small amount of clothes or towels. The spin cycle on the washing machine will not work if it is a full load. - [ ] Huge sheet of lint in dryer lint filter. - [ ] Dishwasher doesn’t get the dishes clean- [ ] Dirty dishes in the cabinets - [ ] No pillowcases for the extra pilllowcases * The smoke detector for the living room is in the kitchen drawer. *The extra security lock on the entrance door is broken. * light bulbs out and missing in the bathrooms and kitchen area

Overall the unit is in subpar condition:1.The cabinets are in poor condition 2.The carpet is dirty3.The floors were sandy4.The living room slider door will not open5.There was no dust pan to sweep the sand in6.The trash can is broken7.Bath tub missing a stopper8.Not an adequate amount of hand towels in the bathrooms or kitchen9.Only 3 kitchen drinking glasses 10.Lighting is dim11.The sofa is dirty12.The ironing board cover is in bad shape13.Only one light in the denThe ladies did not stay in the unit. The did not unpack. They are staying two doors down in a unit that represents the quality of Calypso units we have stayed in 15-20 times prior to Covid.This unit in is need of major cleaning and repair.

Poor maintenance in high price property

This property had neglected maintenance, broken patio furniture, missing fire alarms, dishes too limited for the number of guests, worn furniture and peeling kitchen laminate. The property manager couldn't be reached by VRBO or myself by phone when there was a problem with property access. The door lock was inoperable by our second day. I wouldn't rent a property from LSI as property manager again.

Not clean

When we got there on Saturday we went on the balcony to find 3 rusty fish hooks, 2 on the ground and 1 on the table. We had no wash clothes and an old used sponge to wash dishes. Called on Saturday to get wash clothes and a new sponge. Said they would get us some on Sunday. I reached out 3 times to get washcloths but we never received them. The toilets were black around the rim and they had old food still in the sink. Definitely the most dirty condo we have ever stayed in. Besides that the water and the beach were amazing.

It was fine

We stayed in this condo this past week. It was fine. It served the purpose of our needs. The room could use some updating though. Carpets were very worn down and stained. Cabinets kind of beat up. The room could have been cleaned better. There were mildew spots in the master toilet and hair still on the master sink. I’m not freaked out by hair but that just tells me it wasn’t cleaned the way it should have been. This room unfortunately doesn’t come with the beach chair/umbrella rentals but there are a few beach chairs in the laundry room closet to use. Overall, it was fine and met our needs but definitely not as nice as other condos in calypso.

Horrible!!!

The condo was clearly not cleaned. There were beer bottles on the patio and used dental floss picks by the bed. There is a lot of carpet in this condo so I can only imagine how disgusting the floors were. The air conditioning vent was DISGUSTING! Room is completely out dated. No kitchen essentials were there. The details of the room are very vague on here and there’s a reason for that. The parking passes never worked. I was told by calypso security that every room came with 2 parking passes for free but yet we were charged $20 for a second pass. Very disappointed with our stay.

For the price we paid & what we received was awful. I have pictures to back up what I’m saying. The room needs a lot of work. I’m also going to reach out to th owner to let them know. Maybe they haven’t been here in the last 10 years. Carpet is probably original with TONS of stains, air doesn’t work great, so many scuffs on the wall, all cabinets have white duck tape over where they are pealing. My momma is on oxygen, so we brought her machine of course, had to try a few outlets MULTIPLE times to find one that has enough power, same with the blow dryer. Normal things that we have always been accustomed to wasn’t there. Will not stay here again. Hope they fix all the issues inside the condo so others don’t feel like they were ripped off also, since Calypso is better than what we had. We had family staying in another condo & they got what they paid for. Very disappointed. Had to put a pillow behind the headboard, otherwise every time you moved, it banged the wall. I could go on & on. We would of had better in room accommodations at a hotel. We for sure got taken advantage of for our money.

PROs: Thw description “MODERN 3-Bed condo” might be stretching things a bit. The view from the balcony is truly amazing. VERY Close to Pier Park, lots of good restaurants and the beach (even for senior citizen having trouble walking in the sand. If walking is a major issue you can rent an electronic wheelchair to get you to the beach in style). Pools were amazing and the tiki bar was a nice added touch!! Having chairs and beach toys was a great plus. Having an icemaker was handy. CONs: Cleaning issues. Stains in carpet. Furniture and tv’s VERY outdated. Only 1 towel per person isn’t quite enough. The coffee pot was filthy. It would be helpful to know that we needed to bring our own kitchen utensils (egg turner for one), kitchen towels/dish rags, dishwasher soap, garbage bags, dustpan etc etc. MBR toilet was on the verge of clogging. The dryer worked but the top is rusted. Laminate on kitchen cabinets is peeling off. The bunk room is very small (no closet) but the main two BR’s more than made up for it. Even with the cons listed, had I known in advance these items weren’t included, I could have prepared and not been caught off guard having to get everything but the kitchen sink. (This is not my first rental but is only my second VRBO rental…….) I loved the Calypso but might look for a different unit next time.
