Thank you, Linda, for this great review. I am very pleased to hear the guys enjoyed the casita! We try very hard to anticipate our guests every need. What we couldn't anticipate was the unexpected hot tub malfunction. The tub was operating properly for the guests a few days before your party's arrival so it was a surprising development. Unfortunately a mechanical/electronic failure is impossible to predict. But it happens. We initially felt it was a programming error that could be easily corrected. As you know I was on the phone with your party, our caretaker, the local hot tub dealer and his technician immediately when the problem was reported to me. Text messages and phone calls were flying as we all (including your very kind brother-in-law) tried everything we could to resolve the problem. Alas, in spite of everyone's effort, it just wasn't in the cards. I was VERY disappointed and frustrated by the situation. I was aware of the trip being a family gathering and was happy to add the 5th guest at no charge when you reached out with an additional traveler. The idea of a glitch in their trip wasn't at all what I was hoping for. I appreciate you mentioning in your review that I called the Taos Spa and purchased day passes for all the members of your party for the remainder of their stay to give them access to a hot tub, and more. I also appreciate you reaching out and communicating with me after the fact. Thank you for your understanding. We very much look forward to your return. Lola.

Hi Amanda! Thanks so much for taking the time to post a review. Feedback is incredibly important to us. We take each and every one to heart. The Town of Taos has a "Night Sky Protection" ordinance ... light pollution rules, if you will. Within those requirements we try to keep the property well lit. Dear Fred, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Casa Encantada 3. 22 years ago summer heat was a joke in Taos and not an issue for the next 18 years. Summer heat very gradually began about 4 years ago and raised a bit each year. This year was a shock to everyone in Taos. After two episodes of heat we sent a quick letter to our homeowners informing them that autumn 2018 is the time to get serious about air cooling their vacation rental homes for next year. So, we are looking forward to seeing many hopmes prepared with air cooliing next summer. The key for this property is one of the "European locks" that seem to be tricky for some but not everyone. I for one have a difficult time. I have closely observed and srprisingly, most people do not have a problem! We will check to see if our homeonwer may be inclined to change the lock to a good old
