Bayview Retreat @ The Shores, Traverse City

One suite. Two patios. One peaceful escape. Tucked along the wooded edge of East Grand Traverse Bay, this updated ground-floor condo at The Shores is part of Grand Traverse Resort, with peek-a-boo lake views and direct beach access just steps away.

The king bedroom is en-suite with its own private patio, and the living room adds a queen sleeper sofa with its own patio access — 2 full bathrooms in total. The full kitchen is stocked for real cooking, with indoor dining for 4 plus patio dining space.

Please note before booking: due to a recent Grand Traverse Resort policy change, pool and hot tub access is not included with this suite. Guests can arrange same-day access by booking a paid spa treatment at the resort's wellness center.

600 feet of shared private beach sits just outside, with seasonal kayak, SUP, and boat rentals on site, plus public beach access and BBQ grills nearby.

Grand Traverse Resort is just minutes away, with downtown Traverse City about 15 minutes further and Sleeping Bear Dunes under an hour away.

With an en-suite bedroom, wooded water views, and two private patios to unwind on, this suite is a peaceful base for your next Traverse City escape. We'd love to have you stay with us.

Family trip

Nice spot to meet family on our annual trip to TC. Ground floor was perfect for my elderly mother. Unit was clean and had what we needed. Enjoyed the stay.

Sister get away

My sister and I had a wonderful stay. The condo was very clean, beds were very comfortable, the location was very quiet and close to all the places we enjoy about Northern Michigan.

Perfect little condo

We were in town for a conference at Grand Traverse Resort. The property is a very close commute to the venue and provided me and my co-worker with our own space and the comforts of home. We would definitely book again.

Roomy and EXTRA clean Condo. So close to the Bay, the Resort, and downtown Traverse. Includes all the amenities. We will be back!

Golf Trip

We love visiting and golfing in northern Michigan. With so many courses to choose from and the ease of getting around, we choose to visit here nine times! We are from SD. We love the friendly people also. This condo was very easy to locate and was close to the many courses.

Traverse City Condo

Condo was a little dated but was well located to get at most of the area attractions. We were a little disappointed about the overall quality of the condo and condo complex for the price paid for this rental.

The condo was clean and as advertised. We had everything we needed. We were conveniently close to Traverse City. Wi-Fi connection was spotty. Other than that, everything was great.

Rating of stay

Property is old and worn out. The bed sheets, linens. Sofa bed are cheap and tattered. Must be replaced. Patio hasnt been used . We made the best of what you offfered but on line photos were deceiving.

Nice location, less than average accommodations.

This unit was quite disappointing. It merits a 2 star rating. Unit was not clean, flatware drawers were dirty with food drippings on the silverware. Kitchen was poorly supplied. Linens on the beds are wore out. Pillows on the beds were stained and had no liners on them. Bathrooms had hair deposits on the counter tops, sinks and tubs. Pillows on the sofa are soiled. Clearly low standards and not sanitized.

Great location. Unfortunately the room was much older than appears in photos. In addition, the second bedroom (queen bed) was horrific to sleep on…zero support and sunken in center. The property also lists two en-suite rooms…this to me means two rooms each with a bathroom…thus, en-suite; but no. It is a small bathroom in kitchen area and a small bathroom between the two bedrooms.The second bedroom’s tv was in a cupboard above the dresser drawers that doesn’t even face the bed:(The tiny dishwasher had a wide open space at top under the kitchen counter…seems like that could be a very easy, fast fix and offer a much nicer appearance.The management was extremely communicative and easy to work with regarding check in and check out. Also appreciated the variety of discounts to local amenities they offered. We were just very underwhelmed with the room.
