Looking for an extended stay in Paradise to escape the winter cold or to spend summer vacation at the beach? Welcome to your home away from home in this spacious two-story, 3/3+loft townhouse in Kailua Kona. Located in a small, quiet, gated community on a hill overlooking Kailua Bay, this condo is perfect for longer stays on the Big Island. It is fully stocked with everything you will need to feel completely at home including linens, kitchen items and beach gear.
Located within walking distance of quaint downtown Kona but away from the noise and traffic, this unit is the perfect headquarters for all of your Big Island adventures. All of the Big Island attractions are a car ride away. Visit waterfalls, view the stars from the top of Maunakea, check out the paniolo rodeo. Swim, kayak, snorkel, scuba, play a round of golf, try parasailing, or go deep sea fishing. If you prefer to stay close to home, visit the on-site resort style pool and fitness center. At the end of your day in paradise, barbecue dinner outdoors on the backyard grill and enjoy the beautiful sunset from the lanai.
This two-story end unit features 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Bring your friends and family. The first floor contains a huge great room with soaring 3 story windows, a fully stocked kitchen and dining room. Leading out from the great room is a large lanai with an eating area and tropical plants. There is also a first floor bedroom and bathroom.
Upstairs, you will find the master suite with its own private lanai and ensuite bath featuring twin vanities, a walk-in closet, and a private WC and shower. A second guest bedroom and bath can also be found upstairs. The upstairs also has a loft area with a desk and high speed internet for people who need to bring work along and to stay in contact with the Mainland. Free long distance calling to the Mainland US and Canada is included.
The unit is fully stocked with kitchen items, linens and towels, and beach gear.
There are no steps leading into the unit. It is wheel chair friendly.
In compliance with AOAO Bylaws, this unit requires a minimum 3 month rental. Early check ins and late checkouts can usually be accommodated.

Security/Damage Deposit:
The security/damage deposit is a pre-authorization on your card. After departure if no damage is found, the pre-authorization is cancelled. The security/ damage pre-authorization is provided as security against damage to the townhouse or its contents including theft. It also covers any fines imposed by the condo association for violation of condo rules. A full copy of the condo rules can be found inside the unit.
Generally, the following are prohibited:
•Loud noise between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
•Use of the pool between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
•Children under 14 years of age in the pool area without adult supervision
•Running, diving, climbing on the waterfall, and other rough play in the pool area
•Beach towels, boogie boards, or other unsightly items stored on lanais (front, back, or upper)
•Babies in the pool without swim diapers
•Parking in spots reserved for other units
•Glass receptacles in the pool area
•Alcoholic beverages in common areas other than the barbecue area of the pool
•Smoking in common areas including lanais, pool area, and exercise room
•Pets
•Drunk or disorderly behavior
•Illegal substances or activities
No Smoking (Vaping, etc.) Permitted
Absolutely no smoking is permitted inside the condo or on the lanai.
Hawaii law prohibits smoking within 20 feet of an entrance to a public building.
No smoking is permitted at the pool, barbecue area, in the exercise room or in any other Common Area of the property.
Smokers are encouraged to use the parking lots and to stay as far away from buildings as possible and to keep the 20 foot rule in mind. If you do smoke outside of the unit, please remember to pick up all cigarette butts.
You are responsible for all damage to the premises in excess of the security deposit plus reasonable costs of collection, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, if necessary. Assuming there is no damage, fines, or extra cleaning costs, the security deposit will be refunded to you within 14 days of departure.

Our second stay and we still love it!!!

This is our second long term stay at this property - you can see our prior review that we left March 25, 2020. Our views only changed for the better this time around. In addition to everything we mentioned last time, there had been a couple of nice enhancements to the property. There is a new dining table that easily seats eight people, the outside lanai was expanded making it better for cookouts, and there were some new items in the kitchen - all making a marvelous property even better. I won't repeat what all I said in our prior review - I think our return sums up our feelings pretty well. This is a wonderful property in a wonderful location with wonderful owners and managers. It is very comfortable for hosting guests as well as time for just a couple. We look forward to visiting again in the future! Steve

Perfect Location, Great Property

We stayed nearly two months in this property, and absolutely loved it. In fact, we are returning next year for three months! We had originally rented a unit at Alii Cove, but the owner sold the property and we were forced to find another place to stay. We luckily found this property as it was first being listed. We commented multiple times that we were glad the Alii Cove property sold since we liked this one so much. First, about the location. It is a little over a mile to walk into downtown Kailua-Kona. An easy walk there, but more work coming back as a portion is uphill. A good way to start the day. And the advantage of being up the hill is the views - gorgeous ocean views, particularly from the upper lanai! We would sometimes dine up there, have drinks with visitors, or I would even do a little work from there (very little - I am mostly retired....). The unit itself was perfect for waht we wanted. We had guests coming and going - this property has a KB in the master, QB's in the other two bedrooms, and two twins in the loft - perfect for two couples visiting and one can even have a couple of kids. And each BR gets its own bathroom which is nice for cleaning up before dinner or after the beach. The property is incredibly well stocked - the kitchen has ample pans, dishes, glasses, flatware, and so on. And the owner has it stocked with many spices, condiments, and such that are available to use. The living space is quite large - three sofas, chairs, open concept to the kitchen and dining areas. Plenty of room to just hang out. And yet it is not so large that when it was just my wife and me in the unit we felt it was too big. The grounds of this development are immaculate. Plenty of green space, the swimming pool is nearby. It has its own private grill. And the lower lanai has a closet full of beach stuff - six beach chairs, three boogie boards, several snorkel sets, beach toys for little ones, beach umbrellas, a large cooler, and more. Very nice to have available! The property manager, Trude, and her husband Scott were very responsive whenever we had issues. And in three months, of course there will be some sort of issue - ours was with the washer and dryer but this was handled quickly. We really cannot say enough nice things about this property. It fit our family wants perfectly - we will be going back for three months in 2021!
