Our floor has outdoor seating to view sunsets, designated smoking area and full coin laundry facilities.

All was fine except for the TV. It is a Roku TV and does not have local channels or main news channels.

Perfect view

Overall everything was great. Perfect little getaway spot with the family. Price was on point, king bed was comfortable and the view was gorgeous. Only reason i gave it a 4 on cleaning was it could use a little tlc but nothing i couldn't live with.

Beach getaway

Little confusing when we arrived on where to find the key, since office was closed. Room was nice for what we was there for. Kitchen light was out, I would stay there again

So Glad i went with my Gut And Booked Here!!

Me and my husband Searched through so many sites. Something kept pulling me back to this one. After booking i went back and started to read reviews and honestly didnt know what i was stepping into. We got there our room was everything we wanted plus so much more. The room sleeps 6 easily but it was only me and him and so we had plaenty of room. Had plenty of rokm to put up our belongings. The room was nice and cleacleancleanneettbYoeverythintce.

You get what you pay for.

We wanted a quick weekend getaway before our kids school started and for the price we paid we knew it wouldn't be a luxury condo. It was inexpensive and served it purpose. We did leave early because our youngest child caught a stomach bug while there and experienced vomiting for 24 hrs straight. I am unsure what triggered it b/c we all ate the same food, however she did swallow some pool water prior to the onset. Pro's- Direct beach access w/ a great beach view. Close proximity to stores and restaurants. No Front desk Check-in process, keybox located at the door and the Owner provided the code prior to check-in. Pool w/ ample seating available. Owner provided a beach umbrella. AC was noisy, but air was cold Con's- The Condo is in need of updating/remodeling. (Bathroom cabinets are warped, paint peeling/discolored, needs new grouting/floor scrubbing, Kitchen bench could use some reupholstering/ cleaning, random hair on the counters/floor, bathroom waterfall faucet had dirt/gunk in it. ect.) Bathroom is very small and hard to maneuver in. Constant bad smell in the hall leading up to the condo, but you can not smell it in the actual room. $30 parking pass fee, but I rarely saw security at the guard shack (no gate), so pretty much anyone has access to the parking lot. I passed by open doors of other condo's with the same layout and they looked beautiful, so this condo has all the potential to be nice, but its has seen better days and needs a great deal of updating.

So old and dirty!

The unit was so old and dirty. The air conditioner wasn’t blowing much cold air and they had a box fan running in hopes we wouldn’t notice. The vents to the a/c were covered in a thick layer of dust. Tiles missing up against the windows. Mold growing in the walls in the bathroom. The cabinet that had a tv on top was being held up with a coaster tile. The one bench was so dirty that when I touched it, grit was on my hand. Just so dirty. We left and did not stay. The owners were not particularly shocked when I mentioned how dirty the unit was. Thankfully I was able to get my money back and relocated to a hotel- however, it wasn’t on the beach as planned.

Great location

Love everything about this place except. The owner needs a new cleaning service. Floors half sweep and countertops not whipped down. Not clean behind things.

Loved it!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for my birthday and it was just perfect. The room had what we needed and had a great view. It’s right on the beach, has a pool, and a bar with food and drink. Terry the front desk lady was kind and so is the owner of the rooms. He communicated well and made sure I had a good room. Thanks again! I’ll be back!

Great Spot, Terrible Condi

The view was beautiful and the location was spot on, but the condition of the condo left much to be desired. The room was filthy. Dishes were dirty and thrown in and under cabinets, the bathroom was dirty and toilet and bathtub were clogged and both extremely slow to drain. The plastic shower curtain liner was so disgusting that we had to buy one at a nearby Walmart. The window seat was also filthy so at that point we couldn't even trust that the bedding was clean, so we bought bedding as well. Will not rent this condo ever again.

4 day weekend

The room was still being cleaned at 4 when we were supposed to be able to get in the room, the check in at the front had a women that was clearly on something and did not leave instructions for the other lady that worked there. Had a parking pass in my vehicle, it would not hang from the rear view mirror so I placed it in the middle on the dash board. On Sunday my car was being towed, luckily my girlfriend had went to Starbucks and saw it happening and asked them why he said he was told and even showed me when I got out there that my vehicle was being towed because I parked in front of the hairdresser shack! My vehicle was parked in the middle of the parking lot no where around the guard shack at the front entrance. The same lady that checked us in again clearly on something said I was being towed because I did not have a parking pass … however when I questioned her she remembered me and told the tow truck driver to drop it. I made sure when I got into my vehicle to show her the parking pass! She was crazy and has no business working there! The tow truck driver proceeded to tell me he comes out to this business all the time! This was our 2nd trip here and loved it but now I do not believe I will return, which is sad! Great price, location and setup but after that ordeal Ijust don’t know!

Great SB spot

Myself and 3 other girls shared this condo. It was perfect for what we wanted! Really close to the bars and clubs, right on the beach with an amazing view, lots of good restaurants near by, and a great pool to sit out by! Everyone in the building was respectful and we had no issues with staff! Only thing we noticed about the condo was the dishwasher seemed to be broken and they didn’t supply dish soap only dishwasher pods. Other then that everything was great and clean! Highly recommend this spot for your spring break get away, but be aware it was almost all college age people staying in the other condos in the building.

Very dated

The kitchen was very dated. Good thing we didn’t need an oven as it was minuscule and disgusting. Bathroom was tiny and dated and tub did not drain well. I don’t think anyone will use the VCR/DVD combo either. View was nice.

Nice stay with great view.

This was our first time at Top of the Gulf and we LOVED it! Very family friendly, great pool and kiddie pool with a snack shack, great outdoor seating areas and easy beach access. As for the room, it had an amazing beach view to wake up to every morning and had all of the necessities our family of 4 needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Desperately needs updated

Studio is in a very nice area. The resort itself is very beautiful and very well kept up. Pool area and access to the beach is wonderful. Communication with hosts was great. We really appreciated them letting us check in a little early when we arrived 2 hours earlier than expected. The studio itself has no balcony, and is in serious need to be updated. Everything is very old looking. Bathroom is terrible. Toaster didn't work, there was no ice trays in unit, stains on bath towels, and the mattress on the queen bed needs replaced. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on. We would definitely stay at this resort again, but be willing to pay more money to stay in a more updated unit. Wouldn't choose this one again.

This property is just amazing we have stayed here twice now and it has been GREAT both times!!!!! If we come back next year I really hope we can stay here!!! A+++++++

Got the job done

Paid for what we got. The location to the beach was perfect and our window had a lovely view. If you're trying to save money this place is nice enough for that, and has everything you need to get by. The bedding was questionable, sheets, blankets, and pillows were slightly stained so recommend bringing your own. Most of the lights in the place don't work so it was very dimly lit and dark once the sun went down. Showerhead was moldy and the the tub had a dent in it like the bottom was slightly falling out and you could feel it move if you stood in that spot. The place has an interesting smell once you walk in but it's tolerable.

Unit Contents

This unit would benefit from additional kitchen cookware. We like to cook in our room while vacationing and this unit had very little cookware. No pots to make gumbo, etc. The kitchen drying pad had not be cleaned; it had multiple soils.

Not what it looks like!!!

The pictures must be from when it was first bought. The place is absolutely disgusting. Mold on the shower head and in the bathroom. When we walked in there was a window fan running that was covered in dust and dirt. Most of the furniture is stained. Not just a little either. The sheets, pillow case and comforter had stains. I pulled the comforter and sheets down and there was hair. There was no indication this place had been cleaned recently. Where the pillows are for the smaller bed had this long unit return for the air conditioner... It was LOADED with so much dirt and grime there was no way someone should have their face near that thing. The thermostat was half on the wall. There was a hole in the wall and if you put the ac below 72 it won't work. It was so gross I had to leave and find a hotel which did had a refreshing smell of cleaner when you walk in. It is totally not worth the money. The owner did give me a refund but didn't have an apology nor did she say anything about the place being filthy.

Summer Vacation

We were VERY pleased with this condo/studio. Very clean and comfortable!!!!!! Everything in the condo worked with no problems. Everything that is described in the amenities is true to fact. The owners were great to work with. The TOG is an excellent place to bring a couple, family, friends or just yourself. It’s very safe, friendly and not a big high rise place to stay. Gated parking! Short trip of just girls!

The place was as pictured and worked great for us 4 girls that stayed. I thought it could have been a little cleaner. There was a pair of swim trunks behind the bench by the window and hairs on the floor. Two girls slept in the smaller bed and did not sleep well as the air conditioner is right over bed and was loud when I turned on and off. You can't watch TV from.bed as it's high and at the head of the bed. We did not fo to watch TV so that was okay. All in all it was good for what we needed it for.
