Nice secluded house. Perfect for a weekend of fishing, golf, and football for a bunch of guys. Was a little odd with other guests staying above the garage...it's mentioned in the listing but I missed that part lol.

Absolutely Amazing Stay!We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The property was wonderful, everything was just as we hoped, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into making this a great experience for guests. We felt comfortable, relaxed, and right at home. We would absolutely recommend this Vrbo to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay, and we would definitely book again without hesitation. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

When we booked it we didNot realize it was attached to a campground & not actually sitting on 20 acres with hiking trails. Each trail leads to a campsite. The owner rents out campers close to it so kids were in the yard. The owner came & told them to stay away. The lower level where the game room & other bedroom is has concrete & a basement musty smell. We also did not realize there is a rental above the attached garage & the hot tub is shared. We expected a quiet girl retreat & that is why we booked it, but I guess we should have read the total listing better. The home was clean as it is the family residence, so there wasn’t even access to closets or dressers. I feel over priced for what we had. The hot tub is under the kitchen window Owner Scott was very responsive to our concerns but we were already there & frustrated

All of this information about other rentals on the property is in the listing. (In all capital letters).They did not read the full listing and were disappointed because they chose not to read. The house is on 20 acres of woods with trails. The trails do not lead to campsites. They go far past the rental campers to a beautiful woods. They did not explore the trails, but made a false assumption. The house is in a quiet setting, even with other rentals on the property. Seldom is someone disturbed by noise from any of our other rentals. We have a dehumidifier in the basement running all the time. I am not sure why they say it is musty, we live here all the time and use the basement on a regular basis and it is not damp or musty. The reason they booked it is because it is one of the best priced lodgings for the amount of people they desired to bring. This was a case of the owner being blamed for the failure of the renter to read the listing.

Perfect Winter Vacation

Second time staying at this cozy home in the woods. Perfect place to relax and rest after full days on the slopes. Everything is clean and comfortable, and everything you need to cook (or enjoy local takeout) is available in the kitchen. We will be back whenever we ski Crystal!

Cherry Festival adn Sight seeing

Convenient location for all that upper west Michigan has to offer. House had everything we needed to cook and was comfortable. Scott was a great host.

Everything was great. Clean, well equipped, spacious, affordable, quiet and close enough to the river. Fast communication with the owner. Very satisfied with everything. Highly recommend.

Cozy stay in Michigan

The property was very spacious. It had plenty of room to accommodate me and my family for the weekend. The house is situated in a private area surrounded by trees, making for a very scenic and quiet escape. We enjoyed the amenities (especially the home theater in the basement) and we had a great time. Would love to come back again!

Early checkin is normally an option. They never asked to check in early. I even sent a message asking what time they were planning to arrive to make sure it was ready for them and they never responded. Feel free to ask if you need to check in early. We do our best to accommodate if anyone asks.

4th of July weekend 2022

We could not have been happier with our accommodations and our stay at this property just 40 miles from Traverse City. We loved the wooded area and the home was very clean and well cared for. The host quickly responded to my emails with any questions I had for him. It was very welcoming.

Nice house - as advertised

It was a nice house and location. Reality matched the listing. The group enjoyed the hot tub. We really enjoyed the downstairs entertainment space which had a ping pong table, big projector TV, and comfy couches. The host communicated well. There were multiple listings/spaces on the same property, but our group did not have any problems or disturbances with them. Overall, I would recommend this property.

Fantastic Home in the Woods!

Absolutely loved our stay here. The home is large yet cozy, perfect for our family of four to have space to move around, and privacy, while also enjoying family time together. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need. Bathrooms are spacious (water pressure was amazing!). Bedrooms were perfect (everyone slept well!). The living room has a huge couch for everyone to gather and watch tv or play cards. The basement was a total surprise - movie and game room! Lastly, the incredible ice rink was such a hit with our hockey and skating family. Can't wait to visit again! Property manager Scott was easy to communicate with and prompt with responses to questions. Highly recommend!

Great Location

Rental was perfect for kids. The property and house is shared with other rentals on site. The house was spacious and there is a separate upstairs garage apartment that is rented out as well as a camper in the backyard. The hot tub is communal for the guest in the camper and garage apartment. Owner was nice and helpful. They offer other things like kayak and canoes to float with firewood on property for purchase. Great location for the area.

Great for all ages

We were 14 in total, 1 grandma, 6 adults and 7 kids aged 4 to 15. We used the hot tub, the back deck, the trampoline, the hiking path, the basement big screen and several games. Kitchen is well stocked with equipment and we cooked many meals. Everyone was happy with sleeping arrangements. We felt right at home and had a great stay! Thanks, Scott!

I am really, not sure how to respond to this. He gave me three stars, but never said anything to me about any problems. Didn’t post any problems. We strive for five star feedback and always seek to improve, but I just don’t know where we could’ve improved for this guest.

I am not sure what to say. He gave me 1 star, but left now comment at all. He had no problems when he was here and we communicated fine. I am very confused by this.
