Cottage 4A is a lovely one-bedroom, one-bath cottage offering a unique and inviting layout that makes it an ideal retreat for couples or couples traveling with a small child. Comfortable, charming, and thoughtfully designed, this cottage provides an intimate setting for a relaxing stay at Sleepy Hollow Beach Resort.

One of the most distinctive features of Cottage 4A is the set of pocket doors separating the bedroom from the living area. When closed, the doors provide privacy between the two spaces; when opened, they create an airy, open studio aesthetic, allowing the bedroom and living room to flow seamlessly together. This flexible design gives the cottage a surprisingly spacious feel while still providing the convenience and privacy of a separate bedroom when desired.

The bedroom features a comfortable queen-size bed, while the living area includes a queen-size sleeper sofa for additional sleeping accommodations. Although the cottage can sleep up to four guests, its intimate layout makes it especially well suited for couples or couples traveling with a small child.

The comfortable living area provides a welcoming place to relax after a day spent at the beach or pool, while central air conditioning keeps the cottage cool and comfortable throughout the warmer summer months. For added convenience, a washer and dryer are located in the basement, which is accessed by an exterior entrance on the north side of the building.

Guests can also enjoy all of Sleepy Hollow Beach Resort’s exceptional amenities, including 1,000 feet of private Lake Michigan beach, an Olympic-sized heated swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, beautifully maintained grounds, and breathtaking Lake Michigan sunsets.

With its distinctive pocket-door design, flexible open layout, comfortable accommodations, and charming atmosphere, Cottage 4A is a wonderful choice for couples seeking a relaxing getaway or a small family looking to enjoy everything Sleepy Hollow Beach Resort has to offer.

It seemed spacious for a one bedroom.The children’s activities were a highlight—well organized and run, they kept the kids busy each morning before heading to the beach. The bikes and games near the basketball courts were also excellent additions.We especially appreciated the pool area. The glass fence and on-duty lifeguards made it feel very safe and comfortable for the kids.The spacious grassy areas made the property feel welcoming, and the well-maintained playground and wide range of amenities offered something for all ages.We highly recommend both the unit and Sleepy Hollow as a whole. It was a wonderful place for our family to relax, make memories, and spend quality time together, and we would gladly stay again.

Peaceful Retreat

I really enjoyed my 3 day stay here. The property has wonderful amenities,I used the pool, the basketball courts and the beach. I appreciate the effort they made to keep the resort clean and well landscaped. I would definitely go back!

I could have used an iron and ironing board. The unit was nice and clean. We had received details upon our arrival that were very helpful. The front door did give us a little trouble to lock. Overall everything was very nice. The grounds are well kept. The beach was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. I have already recommended it to someone. Thank you again.

It was not comfortable at all. We expected something more plush. This was our second visit to Sleepy Hollow, but the first time in this unit. We plan on returning again next year, but staying in a different unit. Andrew and Dale were very easy to work with during our stay.

It was spotless, comfortable and with lots of natural light coming through. The kitchen was well supplied. The washer/dryer came in very handy. We felt safe at night despite everything being dark outside. Two things to improve: the door lock needs to be fixed and the bug screens needs to be replaced around the unit.

Wonderful Get Away

My stay at Cottage 4A at Sleepy Hollow was all I could have hoped for and more. I needed some quiet time by myself away from work and family... and this was a beautiful spot to get just that. The beach and the view are spectacular, and I did much reading, resting, and reflecting (figuring out my work life) by the water. Cottage 4A is adorable and felt like a cozy, perfect-size place to rest, relax, read, and watch Netflix at night! I highly recommend a restorative stay at 4A and Sleepy Hollow to anyone!!
