This place is such a gem. As soon as you walk in, you feel at home. The view, the layout, the appointments and the location made for a perfect family lake vacation. Brent was an attentive host. We’ll be back!

Adorable Getaway!

We had such a wonderful girls weekend and the little lake house was great! Cute decor, quaint, gorgeous views, and the owners were so accommodating!

Great house in a beautiful location! We enjoyed our stay at the house. The house is very well stocked, everything we needed was there. The location on the lake is beautiful! We enjoyed watching the sunset every night. Our family enjoyed using the paddle board & relaxing on the deck. The host is very helpful & responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at the Second Glance cottage. It was the perfect stay for our girls trip on the lake. The house was spacious, clean and is set up great. We loved our time on the water,using the bonfire in the evenings, and lounging on the comfy couch when needed. The host is very responsive & accommodating. You cannot beat the view! Would highly recommend.

Lovely private getaway

The setting of this cabin is peaceful and quiet. We spent each morning sitting by the lake to begin our day. But, it’s very convenient to anything you need around Traverse City. We had a wedding at Brengman Brothers Winery and it only took 5 minutes to get there. Cabin was clean and ready for us. Definitely recommend!

We had some issues with the key box but our host was very responsive and we were able to get in quickly. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location was great and the kids loved jumping off the dock and using the kayaks. We had an amazing time. We did get warm at night because we tend to be icebox sleepers, but there was a window unit, a portable AC and multiple fans available.

Second Glance Cottage is a very special place. It is close to convenient amenities in Traverse City and a decent drive to all the places you would want to visit in the Leelanau Peninsula, but it still feels secluded and private. It is obvious that the owners have put a lot of time, effort and money into making this home comfortable and well-appointed. The home has everything you could need or want. The outdoor patio and pavilion are beautiful, and the sunsets we saw sitting on the pier were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. There was plenty of space for everyone as well, and the host was very communicative. We would come back in a heartbeat!

This darling little cabin on the lake was amazing. We loved having four bedrooms for four ladies so no one had to share. The outdoor space is fabulous. The house is extremely well stocked and the host is very friendly. We did have some confusion with check out procedures since there was no instruction provided but a few texts and it was all cleared up. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again and stay in the exact same place.

Lovely cottage with picturesque views

Wonderful cottage right on the lake. The property owners/managers could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The cottage was clean with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing week on the lake

Perfect getaway vacation

The house was super cute and welcoming and fit 8 adults perfectly. Amazing lake view with gorgeous sunsets. Highly recommend.

Nice lakeside getaway

Spacious living and outdoor space makes the perfect space for a group of friends/family. Everything is clean which allows you to settle right in and start your vacation. Basic amenities provided along with some recreational items as well. Within a short Uber ride from downtown Traverse City, yet in a peaceful secluded area for relaxing.
