Restful Getaway

We visited Cape Elizabeth for a quick getaway for my wife's birthday. Between both of us working and my three girls' crazy school schedules (and way too much screen time for all of us), we needed a little escape. The house and location was perfect for us. The house was clean and beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed being so close to the coast. My older girls (12 and 14) enjoy cooking and for them the kitchen was the big highlight, I really enjoyed it also. They baked treats for mom on Saturday while I cooked dinner. My wife enjoy time relaxing in the hot-tub and laying by the fire. It was nice having wood right there in the garage! The owners were fantastic, quick to respond when needed and even helped out by bringing over a mixer for the girls to finish off their icing for mom's cake. Being so close to Portland, I thought we would spend some time there but everyone just wanted to spend time relaxing at the house and around Cape Elizabeth. We had an amazing short getaway and my family is already planning a return visit!

Great family location!

We had a great stay in this rental. It was a last minute need for us and The host was very accommodating! She made sure things were ready for us and that we were comfortable throughout our stay. Thank you so much!

Wonderful stay

House is just as described and as the pictures look. It is very well stocked, beautiful and comfortable. Marilys, the owner, is very responsive and wonderful. Location right down the street from Ft William is great. Quiet neighborhood and very relaxing. Look forward to returning and/or renting another property from them. Highly recommend.

Thanksgiving Family time

This home was a beautiful place for a family gathering. It has lovely visiting areas and a gorgeous kitchen. We had a great vacation.

Portland Gem

We needed an upscale pet friendly rental near our daughter in Portland. This property was perfect. It is new, well maintained, and had plenty of room for our well behaved dogs. The kitchen is spacious with top line appliances. The bedrooms and common areas are beautifully decorated and spacious. Marylis was extremely accommodating and a great resource for local tips. Her comprehensive renters guide was amazing. The Cape Elizabeth area has a vacation feel, while only minutes from downtown Portland. We highly recommend Salt Air Grill for dinner and Scratch for fresh baked goods for breakfast. The house is perfect. If I wanted to improve on perfection, I would suggest better access to bedside outlets. I am a CPAP user and had to run extension cords. There are outlets behind the beds, but the very large and comfy beds are too heavy to move to access them. That however was a minor inconvenience in the sea of major pluses this property has to offer. We will definitely be back. Thanks!

Fantastic Property and Wonderful Host! 10 out of 10!

This was one of our favorite home rental stays, and we use these services often. The property suited us perfectly (family trip). It is a very nicely done home with an incredible backyard, quite large interior, and one of those rare homes that is actually as nice as the pictures lead you to believe. The neighborhood is beautiful, and the access to the private beach was fantastic and provided a truly enjoyable part of our stay. If you are thinking of staying in Portland itself, I would encourage you to stay here in Cape Elizabeth instead - it is just so beautiful, yet so close to anything you would ever want to do. Above all, Marilys is just such a wonderful and generous host. She went out of her way to accommodate us, from booking, to check in, to the end of our stay. We hope we can visit and stay in her home again. I would highly recommend staying here if you are considering a visit.
