Location, location, location! This historic brick house is nestled right in the heart of Traverse City. It is within walking distance of downtown TC and gorgeous beaches! There is plenty to do to make lasting memories. A cozy home away from home. This updated and renovated home has kept the original beautiful woodwork and fine craftsmanship while adding modern decor. Granite counter tops, fully furnished with new furniture, and stocked with the finest amenities! You can enjoy the privacy of your own living space and patio with a grill in the backyard. Our greatest desire is to make your visit unique, comfortable, and a place you will want to return to year after year. There is a private office in the back of the building with a separate entrance.

Beautiful home and perfect location.

The home is perfectly located near downtown and west bay. The accommodations were just what we needed for our family of four. Exceptional hosts! We would love to go back again.

Comfort and Convenience

The Brickhouse in Traverse City is a wonderful oasis located close to everything downtown. From the check in, meeting the owner you can see the pride in this home. The attention to detail was very much appreciated in the little touches that made you feel instantly at home. We had everything we could have possibly needed. The information packet, the welcoming gift, communication with Tammy the owner, comfort of the beds, cleanliness and location of the home within walking distance to downtown and all its restaurants and shops! We’re still daydreaming about our trip thanks to the Brickhouse and we’d happily stay there anytime we’re in the area. I just hope this and all the other reviews won’t make booking it for ourselves in the future impossible? Thank you for a memorable visit.

Convenience!

We loved the location as it was central to everything with many options within walking distance. Clean, nicely decorated with a well stocked kitchen and nice linens. Definitely recommend.

Lovely place to stay

Great location within walking distance to downtown shops: restaurants and the beach (but definitely need a stroller with small kiddos). Hosts were very accommodating and the house was just as advertised. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in a cozy house

We enjoyed everything about this well-appointed and cozy little house. The weather was perfect for backyard grilling, the kitchen is stocked with enough gear for cooking a meal, and Internet/TV worked just fine. Beds were comfortable and location is excellent. One of our kids accidentally pulled the locked door shut at one point with the key inside and our hosts came right over to let us back in. Great communication throughout the stay.

Charming nicely renovated century home.

This is a very nice house . The landscaping has been neglected however, and is overgrown. I would stay here again.

Home is over 100 years old, it is very well maintained and I really expected it to be nice, but it was absolutely gorgeous!! Short distance from everything. The home is nestled in between a couple business, but it was very quiet and private.. Bonus that Slab Burger is 3 houses down!!! It is a must visit.. So here is the deal.. The property manager went way beyond what anyone has ever done to ensure our stay was great!! You won’t find this anywhere else!!! Very satisfied!!! A must stay if looking for a Traverse City Visit!!! We will be back!

Beautiful Home

Everything about this home was amazing! We had such a fun time staying at the Brick House we plan to return. Tammy was great to work with and very responsive. We enjoyed meeting her upon check-in. The house was adorable, clean, and had so many nice touches. The location was perfect with being so close to downtown. The beds were super comfy and the sheets were so soft, we all enjoyed a good nights rest. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Family vacation

My family with three under the age of six have done little traveling as a family of five. Staying in this house took a lot of pressure off the trip. The full kitchen was perfect for our inexperienced eaters and the proximity to stores, restaurants and a park during non-school hours was wonderful.

Family Vaca/Lake Wedding

Wonderful 1st visit to Traverse City! This home was beautiful & placed perfectly near the lake, several fabulous parks, hiking trails, & downtown restaurants. We took advantage of the complimentary bikes & biked to a rehearsal dinner in town. Tammy was great to work with & made this home spotless. Probably one of the best kitchen accommodations I have ever seen in a VRBO—i wasn’t searching for any tools & they left us basics like salt/pepper/soap/paper towels—so nice! It was nice not having to run to the store immediately. The owners also left a lovely gift, had kids toys (bonus!) and helped facilitate a late checkout so we could spend a little extra time with family. Thank you!

Great communication and clean, well located property

Property was impeccibly clean and accurately described in the listing. Owner contacted us the day before to get an idea of time of arrival and had the property ready for us at that time. She met with us for about 10 minutes to walk us through the property and answer any questions about the house. It was a great touch to have a small local gift for us and for our toddler. Additionally, she had the pack n play and high chair set up for us. Keep up the great work! Would highly recommend.

TC in Winter

The home was conveniently located to downtown. Owner was responsive to requests for snow shovel and getting locked out. A bit of a surprise when we realized there was an office attached to kitchen when we could hear their heated phone conversation, but that was very infrequent. Had a great visit with family in the area, but December may not be the best time to visit the Cherry Capital if you are not used to colder weather and ice/snow. Great burger place two doors down and easy access to restaurants and shops downtown.

rather work with wife

male owner met us and obviously wanted to be quick. blew through tv and a/c instructions like it was self explanatory and made the comment "they complain about Netflix all the time". there was no regular tv so no wonder there are complaints. also there was someone living in the attached garage that was not explained to us beforehand-not good! lastly, Tammy told me the fold out couch was of good quality when I asked. we had to cover the mattress with quilts and outdoor chair cushions to make it sleepable

Wonderful weekend in Traverse City

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! Tammy was super responsive during the booking and planning process. She even went above and beyond to get us a pack n'play and high chair for our son, so we didn't have to rent. The house was very clean and was in a very good location for walking to downtown Traverse City. The house is also only 15-20 min drive from the airport, so super convenient for flying in as well. The weather was beautiful while in town and we wished more windows in the house had screens to be able to open for fresh air. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Traverse City!

Cute house close to downtown and the Bay.

Loved our stay! Super clean and had great space for the four of us. The gas grill was great to have as we used it a few times and ate outside. Loved the welcome wine and treats! Everything was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts. Close to downtown and tons of restaurants plus there’s a good burger joint next door.

A Cute house in a good location

A nice house with a great well furbished extremely fine kitchen in a great location but we had a few disappointments. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful; the house itself is solid and well built. And many details are well considered: Dishes and pots, towels and television, Sweet welcome gifts. Our big problem was that the bedroom windows did not open until we called the owner and then there were no screens. So basically they were not usable.And the only air conditioning unit is in the living room so the bedrooms were too warm and airless at night. Only a few windows in the whole house opened and had screens. The final cost to us was about $530 a night and for that price I had high expectations. The owners say that they intend to remedy that at some point. A few other details were a problem for us: one unreachable pull cord for the fan, no reading lights in the back bedroom, soft mattress in the front bedroom, No ventilation in the bathroom. It’s a new rental for this lovely couple and they were extremely willing to hear our concerns and to do what they could do But some of it was just not fixable in the short term.

Beautiful home near everything in Traverse City!

This house was perfect for our stay in Traverse City. We walked everywhere because it was located so close to downtown and the beach. Many thoughtful touches by the owner made our stay even better. We would definitely return!
