We enjoyed our recent stay at Misty Mountain Retreat. The property was clean and comfortable. Driving to the property was easy. It was a good location to go to other area locations we wanted to visit (good hiking, nice little towns, enjoyable restaurants). The owner was helpful and very quick to respond to the few questions that came up.

We enjoyed the cabin, loved the hot tub. It said scenic Mountain View’s….we couldn’t see anything but tress, perhaps better when the leaves fall off. Every single time we entered the subdivision we had trouble with the key pad opening the gate…it shouldn’t be that difficult. Perhaps your HOA could fix that.Cabin was clean.

We enjoyed our stay. The location is remote and quiet and the house had everything we needed for a weekend away. Would stay here again!

Everything was fantastic with the exception of it. Needs updated pictures. I was under the impression that we were going to have a view off the deck and with all the growth of the trees that wasn't the case. Other than that, we loved it

Wedding Stay

Perfect location to nearby family that live on Buck Mtn. House was perfect to host friends to watch the big game. Will definitely be stayingbhere again.

It was a beautiful mountain house and a carpenters dream of workmanship. The host was there for me with every question that I had, and I had too many because I didn’t read through the directions thoroughly like I should have I would highly recommend this place and the dogs enjoyed the stay as well!

We had a great time while we where in residence, everything was clean, tidy and well stocked for our stay, they even had some dry goods that I forgot to pickup. Everything was present as advertised.Communication was excellent, as i was a first time user.It was a little difficult in using the stairs as we were all in our late 70's. But, by the end of the week we strenghtened our legs! The gated community was a bonus in our security.

Great getaway

We had a great time here! Very peaceful location hit far enough away to feel secluded but close enough to get out and buy supplies. House was well stocked and no detail overlooked. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice moutain getaway

Nice, private mountain home community. Lots of deer and wildlife to admire. Clean and comfortable. Loved the large covered back deck area.

Family vacation

We greatly enjoyed the cabin. The kids enjoyed the hottub in particular. The nice views from the balcony. A great area for vacation in general, and particularly under the current circumstances. We would positively stay again.

Nice mountain getaway!

The cabin is beautiful, clean, and fun! It had all the amenities we love, hot tub, firepit, & games! We enjoyed the dartboard the most! This cabin has the best sleeping beds we've ever slept in away from home!

Top notch place in the mountains

Great property, well kept, and secluded, yet close to great towns. Sip your coffee in the morning on the porch overlooking the mountains, travel to the BRP for a day hike, cook dinner and make a fire at night. This property was great. We will be back.

Excellent Cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean and easy to get to. Very nice property. Played darts, enjoyed the firepit and hanging out with my family. Added a picture to the stairway of the snail. Thank you for allowing us to your beautiful cabin. We would definitely stay there again.

Our serenity get away

Enjoyed the beautiful, emaculate cabin, rocking on front porch, relaxing in the hot tub & visiting the waterfall. So peaceful, a time of shut down. Also enjoyed our meals in West Jefferson & in Boone. Hope to return very soon.

Wonderful view

We had a blast at this cabin. It had a great view and all amenities needed for our long weekend stay. The hot tub was so much fun. The drive to Boone or Wilkesboro were about 20-30 minutes so wasn’t too bad. Would highly recommend this place! Thanks so much!

So peaceful and quite.

There was plenty of room for four of us. This place was so peaceful. This is the second place we had rented on Buck Mountian. Place is so nice. Place was very clean and already had a lot of stuff in pantry. Will definitly continue to rent here when im the area.

Lovely place away from everything

This cabin is very comfy and up to date. My partner and I wanted to just spend all of our time there! Our property manager was very prompt and helpful with any of our questions that we had. There is a beautiful waterfall and pond where you can go fishing which I definitely reccomend going to!
