“Up The Creek” Cabin

This cabin is tucked away and offers privacy on 12 acres to explore with a large covered front porch overlooking your private Native trout stream. Only 4.5 miles to Blue Ridge Parkway, “Up The Creek” is centrally located close to Boone, West Jefferson, Wilkesboro and Blowing Rock. The property has hiking trails, crystal clear creek for swimming and a nice deck built on creek with grill, also fire pit. Great getaway if peace and tranquility is what you seek but still close enough to Explore surrounding towns.

Lovely cabin

The cabin was set deep in the woods yet convenient to Boone. It was charming and tastefully decorated. We were cozy and warm despite the cold and enjoyed our stay.

Up The Creek

We had such a peaceful stay at Up The Creek and Renee was the perfect host. The sound of the creek, the beautiful fall colors and the fall flowers that greeted us when we walked in the cabin are the memories that we brought home with us after our stay in this lovely cabin.

Perfect away cabin

Up the creek was just what we were looking for! Renee was great and very responsive. The cabin was beautiful, clean and our family loved it. Would definitely stay again!!!

Great quick trip

Enjoyed a quick getaway for the weekend with our 2 kids. Loved the quiet and private area and our dog loved being able to run around and explore the area.

Gorgeous Inside and Out

Our whole family enjoyed staying in this beautiful cabin at such a gorgeous location. We hiked to waterfalls on the property and enjoyed unplugging in God’s creation. We look forward to the opportunity to return in the summer. Thank you for being great hosts!

Great Stay

We had a great little family getaway. My sons enjoyed exploring trials and the partly iced creek on the property. The cabin is great, complete with everything you need. The host has given careful thought to all the fine details and the cabin is very welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back!

Awesome getaway!

We rent cabins 2 or 3 times a year and have been doing so for many years. This one has been one of our favorites! Great cabin, great location, lots of quiet. Renee has been a great host and has communicated very well. We hope to stay again! Thanks for a great extended weekend!!!

Dog friendly and Unplugged

The cabin is gorgeous. We loved the huge covered back deck and the sound of the rushing water. Very relaxing. Great place to escape and hit the reset button.

Very unique cabin

The property is very private and was one of the nicest VRBO properties I have stayed in. The character of this cabin is awesome and the build is of high quality, The host was fantastic and very helpful. I will definitely stay here again. I rarely give anything a perfect score but this was worthey of a 5 star review.

Amazing Cabin

Our stay was an amazing experience. The pictures do not do this place justice! Cabin was extremely clean, and had all the necessary amenities. The creek was beautiful and refreshing. The kids took full advantage of tubing during our stay. Owner was very welcoming, and ensured we had everything we needed. Definitely will return next year!

Just an Awesome place to Get Away

Me and the boys went here for a boys weekend while mom was with friends. Had such a great time! The Property, House, & River are all amazing. The river walk in both directions are beautiful. Plenty of places to do your own thing while kids do there thing. Host is awesome and will help anyway she can.

Perfect Getaway!

This cabin exceeded our expectations. It is so beautiful and in the most peaceful location. We spent most of our weekend at the waterfall. It is a short hike, but a fun adventure! My boys (9 & 11) played in the creek for hours. We also loved sitting on the front porch listening to the creek. Beds are very comfortable, cabin very clean, and beautifully decorated. Renee is a wonderful host and she graciously let us arrive early and leave later. My family had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. We will most definitely be back again soon!

Fantastic place

This cabin is amazing. Perfect for an escape from the world. We could have just sat on the deck listening to the creek running the entire time. Our dogs enjoyed playing in the creek and I caught several nice brook trout fly fishing. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back

Exceptional Secluded Cabin

The Deep Gap is an exceptional cabin! Very peaceful! The creek was great! You have a great view of it from the porch! This cabin really allows you to be one with nature and leave all your ur problems behind! The owners are great!

Perfect getaway for our family

5 stars all around. We had no wi-fi and no phones and loved every minute of it. The family enjoyed the creek in the back and the incredible privacy. Still only a short drive to Boone and all it has to offer. The owner even dropped by to replenish the wood for a fire pit during our stay!
