Beautiful Beach Getaway! Walk to Beach! Sleeps 6.

Amazing beach house only a short walk from the ocean! A great location at a great North Carolina beach! The neighborhood is charming and quiet and the neighbors are friendly. The beach is gorgeous and just a straight walk or drive down the road. We can hear the ocean waves at night. Generous front porch with rocking chairs and table. Large master bedroom with gorgeous bath. Coffee ready to go, a library, cable TV in living room. Please note that there is a main road to cross - E. Oak Island Dr. - to get to the beach. It gets busy during rush hour and high season. It’s better to take a right there and then a left on 73rd St. to avoid waiting. Parents will need to accompany children if walking.

Was a wonderful home to stay in for vacation! Three bedrooms, lots of kitchen equipment, and had extra beach supplies! The walk to the beach was around a 10-minute walk, and the location of the home was right near everything. Super pleased with Mike as a host; he was wonderful.

We had a wonderful time at Oak Island and appreciated being able to stay in this home. We had plenty of space, and it was a short walk to the beautiful wide beach!

Parking was extremely handy, right at the front door. We were very satisfied with the cleanliness and set up of the home. We always enjoy the shopping on Oak Island, there are hidden treasures throughout the island. Our host was available for questions and made us feel welcome.

Short stay to kick of vacation!

We enjoyed our 2 night stay! The house was quaint & perfect for our kick off to vacation week.

Check in was seamless. We were originally told we could check out at 11am and the week of we were told we needed to check out an hour earlier. It said they had beach towels and they didn’t. I messaged the host asking where they were and I did not get a response. The first day he was very responsive but after asking for the towels I didn’t get a response. We had alot of fun and great location! The shower curtain in the main bathroom was a bit dirty and my quilt on my bed had stains on it. Overall it was a good stay. I would stay again.

Great stay!

Fantastic location with easy access to all the restaurants nearby and the beach! Host was courteous and easy to get a hold of with any questions and issues. Will stay again when in the area!

Overall experience. Host was responsive, location suited our purpose, and the house was very nice. We also found all the necessary utensils, etc., that we needed.

We love to host people and we love the beach! We have always taken our kids on beach vacations and Oak Island is one we've kept coming back to. It's a place where we can recharge from our very busy lives. It's amazing what a day on the beach can do for one's perspectives on just about everything. That's why we always come back to the beauty, the surf and sunshine. We hope you enjoy your experience as much as we have.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

It's new, clean, large for a family, fairly inexpensive and right near the beach. Get your groceries from the Food Lion (don't worry about bringing a cooler full of stuff from home!). Great seafood at the local restaurants or buy some from the local fish outlet and cook it on the outdoor grill in the back yard. Close to the beach enough to take a short walk. See the turtles hatch in August!

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We are a walk to the beach and a walk to the waterway. The beach is visible from the road and a great location (74th st Access area) with parking. We throw our chairs in the truck or car and in 3 blocks we are there. If you bring a boat just take it down to the public landing on 55th St and head out for a spin or sail on the waterway or even out to the ocean. Rentals are everywhere. Great restaurants nearby.

Get your own food from Food Lion less than a mile down the road! Bring your bikes - super place for a morning ride and no traffic. Mornings on the porch are delightful - bring your coffee and a good book. Visit Southport town in the evening - beautiful quaint old town with great restaurants and seafood - try Provisions or theFrying Pan for some great crab cakes!

Want to do some skydiving? Just a couple of miles up the road there's a small airport that specializes in them.
