Best beach house in Oak Island

It was a cute, perfect sized beach house! We felt like locals walking to the beach which was 3 minutes away. We cant wait to stay there again!

Quiet Weekend

Really enjoyed the home and the location. Very clean and quiet for our extended weekend. Would definitely recommend to anyone heading to OKI.

Family Beach Trip

This is a beautiful, updated beach house. Very nice location, short walk to the beach. This was our first visit to Oak Island and we really enjoyed our stay.

Great house! perfect location!

We had a great stay. House was very clean with a lot of attention to detail. Even had a basket with a few drinks and snacks when we arrived. Easy walk to the beach with chairs and wagon provided. We will definitely stay here again.

What a little gem! From the location looking out over the Marsh to the beach just around the corner and the breeze on the front porch! This cottage is perfection! Communication with the owner,cleanliness,every amenity you could need were all a perfect 10! It was our first time to Oak Island but will not be our last at The Hammock House!

Great accommodation

The property owner had every you need and more. I highly recommend this property for thei comfort and all the extra goodies ,, even though we didn't use them as it wasn't beach weather Short walk to the beach.

Relaxing

The location was great. Short walk to the beach but right on thearsh so we ciuld have quiet mornings and evenings on the deck.

Wonderful getaway

Lovely property and view of the marsh. Nice interior and quick walk to beach. Communication with property owner was easy even though they were out of the country! Would highly recommend.

Perfect family getaway!

Everything was seamless! We had no concerns regarding where we stayed. Everything we could have needed was included. It is located on an incredibly quiet and relaxing part of the beach. We will consider staying here again next time!

Lovely getaway

We so enjoyed our return trip to hammock house. It’s the perfect getaway for our family! Being on the marsh gives lots of privacy and tranquility while being just a few short steps to the beach! The house is bright and clean and provides everything necessary for a relaxing time away. We will be returning for sure!!

Great vacation home!

This was our first time in Oak Island. This house was perfect for our one week stay. It is so convenient to everything (shops, grocery, restaurants and of course the beach!). The 2 min walk to the ocean was no problem! The house has everything you need for a awesome vacation. We will be back!

Perfect spot for relaxing beach week

Second time staying in this house. It is the perfect size for our family of 4! Quiet area, and a very short walk to the beach access, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and all the gear you need to enjoy your days on the beach. The porches on front and back are a lovely place to take a break from the sun. We will be back!

Beach vacation

If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would. Check in was seamless, the house is charming and well maintained. 2 short blocks to the beach, which is on the quiet west end of the island. Communication with the owner was excellent. Highly recommended!

Oak Island 2024

Clean, cozy and conveniently located. And the marsh was surprisingly beautiful. Maari was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We will be coming back!

Would stay again!

Great home! Extremely clean - even the hammocks and garage were spotless. We felt totally comfortable with our new babies in the home. The property manager was available to us and so accommodating. Great location near the beach - easy walk, even with little ones. Would absolutely stay again! (The ONLY caveat - highly recommend bringing your own pillows.)

Perfect Vacation

We enjoyed our stay so much. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. It was perfect for us adults and the kids. The view from the kitchen window was beautiful over the marsh. We also loved the back yard with the hammocks and our kids could play in the yard. The walk to the beach was short and easy. This house is a 10/10.

Great house!

Our family had a great long weekend at the Hammock House. The place was as advertised, updated, super clean, well-stocked, and just perfect for our family of 5. The beach is literally a 2-minute walk away. The owner was super responsive and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!
