Private Newly remodeled Beach Bungalow - steps to Ocean, Pet-friendly, family.

Fourteen months after Hurricane Helene damaged our little Banana Bungalow, we finally have it back—fully restored, city-approved, and completely renewed. Everything is new: appliances, beds, furniture, linens, and more.

This charming 2-bedroom single-family bungalow in Indian Shores sits just steps from both the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf of Mexico. Nestled among condos and apartment buildings, it’s a peaceful ground-floor bungalow with easy beach access and plenty of Florida charm.

Bedrooms & Bath & Outdoor semi-private spa-like shower.

One bedroom has a Queen bed and its own TV.

The second bedroom includes a Full-size bed plus a single bunk bed.
(All beds are brand new.)

The bathroom features a brand-new Jacuzzi bathtub that works beautifully.

The Outdoor semi-private spa-like shower is available to help wash up and clean off the sand after enjoying the day at the beach.

Kitchen & Living Spaces
The kitchen has a new countertop, a new sink, and all-new appliances—including the oven, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. It’s fully equipped with new cookware and utensils, and there’s a cozy eat-in area perfect for breakfast.

We’ve added brand-new towels and linens, and the expanded screened-in porch provides an inviting space to work, study, relax, or enjoy family meals. A new washer and dryer are on-site for your convenience.

Parking
There are two parking spots: one parked parallel to the house, the other perpendicular beside the shed.

Family-Friendly & Pet-Friendly
Children are welcome—games and beach toys are provided.
Two bicycles are available for use.
One small dog (under 35 lbs) is allowed. No other pets are permitted.

Enjoy breathtaking moments—watch the sunrise over the Intracoastal and the sunset over the Gulf, both just steps from your home away from home. We love walks on the beach at any time of the day, swimming in the water, eating at special places around, riding bikes, and playing pickleball next door at the park, steps away from the Bungalow.

I had an excellent stay. The house was super clean and the kitchen amenities were some of the best that I have ever encountered. It was easy to contact the host. I loved how close it was the beach and it was nice that there was parking for 2 cars.

Great rental property. Located in a less busy area but 15 mins from any larger attractions. Highly recommended! Located a block away from the beach was perfect. Rich and Elisa are great owners and communicate well. No problems with our stay at all.

We had an amazing stay at the banana bungalow and would definitely come back! The bungalow was spotless, well maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable vacation. It was fully stocked with anything we needed from the bathroom to the kitchen. It was recently redone and really adorable. Smelled so nice when we walked in and had some extra sweet surprises. The owners were wonderful to work with. They communicated quickly, were very accommodating, and even let us check in early, which we really appreciated, especially because we traveled long distance with our senior dog.The location couldn’t have been better. It was just a short walk across the street to the beach, and having beach chairs available and other fun beach accessories. The bikes were also a great bonus and made it easy to explore the area. There was even a fun little dive bar just down the street that we ended up visiting more than once.Overall, this was the perfect place for a relaxing beach getaway. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to come back!

Banana bungalow was wonderful! We had some issues with travel prior to arriving and they were so nice and understanding about it. The place was very clean and organized, the kitchen had everything we needed. The on-site laundry was perfect especially traveling with my 3 kids! The beach was so close plus having the park across the street was great for the kids. We loved having the wagon to transport all our things to and from the beach as well. We love Indian Rocks and can't wait to come back. We would love to start at the bungalow again!

We were so sad for you all when weather affected travel for more than a whole day, that’s why we tried to give you almost a whole extra day since there were no other renters coming in right away. We so love the closeness to Indian Shores and Indian Rock beaches. The park is so convenient - right across from the Banana Bungalow. Since all of the appliances are brand new this year the washer and dryer come in handy. We’d love to have you back.

Great place Great location

We loved staying at the Banana Bungalow!!! Communicating with the owners was very easy and they were very accommodating. The place itself is very cute and very close to the beach. We would definitely stay there again.

Ann, the beach is so close! My wife and I just went on a nice long walk yesterday as it is so convenient. The beds are super comfortable with new mattresses that help contribute to a good nights sleep.

We just returned from a week at the banana bungalow the last week in Feb of 2026 and had a perfect trip. The property was exactly as described and the hosts were wonderful to deal with. The property is less than 200 steps from the beach and the beach was less busy than surrounding beaches, but still close to many restaraunts/coffee shops/ bars and activities. The house came with a wagon, 2 chairs and umbrella for the beach and pickleball paddles/ball for the public court that is right next door. The kids loved the 2 bikes that were also included. We did cook meals a couple nights and the house was equipped with everything you would need. Definitely would stay here again! Thanks Rich and Elisa!

Great Cottage, Great location , Great Experience

We so enjoyed our stay at Banana Bungalow. The cottage was very well maintained, was in a great location convenient to both the beach and to fine dining. The owners were very responsive to all our questions and needs. We highly recommend this place for an enjoyable vacation experience!

Hi! We are Rich and Elisa. We have four amazing kids who are all out of the house now. Our youngest graduated from UCF, bringing us to Florida's beautiful state. We travel a lot as we started a non-profit working in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and Costa Rica. We primarily work with at-risk families who live and work in the garbage dumps. We also have a home for abused and pregnant girls in Ecuador. We love the beach and have enjoyed many beaches around the world. We really love our beach here, and we hope you will, too!

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We love that this place is close to the white sandy beaches. There are golf courses close by, restaurants, and other activities within walking distance. It is safe, right next to the police station. The sunrise and sunset are amazing. The banana trees and palm trees surrounding the house and the fun tin ceiling give the place a fun, "beachy" vibe while still being clean and modern. Our favorite is the luxury of walking out the door and taking a two-minute walk to the beach.
