Whether as additional accommodations to the on-site Highland Cottage or a luxury getaway all by itself, the Highland Carriage House provides an elegant simplicity that will both charm and delight you.

Located just steps from the Racquet Club, tennis courts and Sky pool, the Highland Carriage House is in the middle of exclusive Rosemary Beach. Originally conceived as a planned community, you’ll notice that every home here has an inviting wrap-around porch, perfect for sipping coffee in the morning and sweet tea in the afternoon.

Exceedingly pedestrian-friendly, wind your way through the secret pathways between the homes and carriage houses for a romantic stroll. Spend a day on the sugar sand beach and the evening wandering through the New Orleans-inspired Town Center.

The town of Rosemary Beach also features 4 separate pools strategically located within the community, available for all residents and guests.

Known as a foodie destination, you’ll enjoy the variety of delicious restaurants, from romantic special occasion spots to casual beachside joints and everything in between.

Back at your carriage house, you’ll ascend a flight of steps and enter your cozy nest through a covered portico. A separate covered deck off the living room offers a scenic view of the community.

The spacious living room offers a lovely conversation area with a comfortable convertible sofa and two side chairs. Enjoy your favorite show or a great movie on the HDTV.

The living space is awash in natural light, casting a warm and inviting glow over the whole area. A dining table for four is tucked in the corner, overlooking the outdoors.

The kitchen, while not large, offers everything needed to prepare a full meal, including an under-the-counter refrigerator, a full-size stove and dishwasher, and a microwave.

The cozy bedroom has a queen-size bed and another HDTV. The fun retro-style bath, with its checkerboard tiles, is ensuite.

Great location and nice property

Everything we needed for our family of 3! The host was very communicative and helpful and the property was clean and comfortable. Wonderful location with access to amenities including the private beach entrances and multiple pools. Excellent walkability. We would stay here again.

Chill Week in Rosemary

Location of this property and amenities offered were top notch!! Only minor tip of note for future trips is to bring along some kitchen items if you plan to do more than just microwave those tasty leftovers. (Ie-cutting knives, measuring cups/devices for mixing drinks, etc)

Perfect location

Great Rosemary Beach Property

This is a great property for a couple. Walking access everywhere in Rosemary Beach and it’s a short drive to Seaside. The management company was excellent to deal with.

Great Location

Great stay at Rosemary Beach due to this rental property. Straight 3 min. walk to the beach and steps to town center. Highly Recommend.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The space is compact but comfortable and really all we needed. Kudos on the air conditioning working perfectly over a hot weekend. We enjoyed the balcony for morning coffee. There was a wifi problem that was promptly fixed, although the TV in the living room never connected to the wifi - might need to be replaced. Easy walk to everything.

Great 3 night getaway

Loved this property. The location was perfect. It was very near the heart of Rosemary beach. The carriage house was quite spacious-more so than we had thought. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect spot in Rosemary Beach!

We loved the Highland Carriage House! The location was perfect for walking or biking to the beach, shops, pools, and restaurants. We enjoyed sitting on the patio in the evenings and found the house to have all of the needed amenities. We highly recommend this spot for a couple or small family and look forward to returning!!

Perfect getaway!

We loved staying in the carriage house! It was perfect for me and my husband. We thought the location was great, walking distance to everything and loved using the bikes everyday. The AC worked great and the place felt nice and cool! Very clean, no bugs, very cute place. Would recommend!

Family of 4 enjoyed our stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit is small but we knew that going in. Probably wouldn’t have been comfortable for a long stay. It is a gorgeous, super clean unit with tasteful, higher end furnishings. Has a bit of vintage charm too. Amenities were great. We drove an F150, but it was too large to fit in the garage and put the gate down. There is parking nearby so that was easy.. Would stay again!!

Charming Carriage House

Highlands carriage

The place was very quaint. Great location and area. However, the shower did not close fully do the screw at the bottom of the door. It leaked into the bathroom. It is also alittle bright in kitchen which goes towards the bedroom.

Great Stay!

The garage space was greatly appreciated,in additon we loved the trees surrounding the windows. The AC Was cold and the property was very clean upon our arrival.The shower needs to be remodeled but other then that the property is very charming and secluded. Loved our 5 day stay!!

Enjoyable with a few hitches

Our stay was enjoyable but when we arrived the neighbor was parked in our space in the garage. That was resolved in a fairly short time. Then both bikes had problems. That took 3 calls and 3 days out of our 5 day stay to resolve. Then, while we drove to Destin the evening before our departure the neighbor closed our garage door and we had no way of opening it. It was after hours so the answering service said they could call us tomorrow after 9 am. We were leaving at 7:30. Thankfully, we didn't leave anything in the garage and we found a parking place in a parking lot. We just didn't have access to our side of the garage but were allowed to park there. That seems like a bad system.

Rosemary Beach Vacation Highland Carriage House

The property location was good and within close walking distance to the beach and pool area . The property did have some issues that other renters have written about that where never addressed The pullout couch was extremely difficult to pull out and needs to be replaced as its life cycle is over . The refrigerator ( small/tiny )needs to be replaced as it didn't function correctly and was way to small. There also palmetto roach issue as we saw two roaches one was in the master bed and the other in the bathroom. Other issues is that there is no outside sitting area as that was useable . The outside garden area that was part of the unit had all mold with no accommodation's that were clean and useable. The last issue was the unit is above a garage that is shared with another tenant and you can hear the garage doors loudly open and close from the unit.

Beautiful location but unwanted guests

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Carriage house was just as described—close to beach, pools, downtown and perfect for couple or small family (we have a baby). The check in process was easy and stress free. As stated before in other reviews, the refrigerator is small and doesn’t close properly, it’s very loud when someone opens the garage door as the house is above the garage and sun is quiet bright in the bedroom. All of those issues were manageable and we knew about it. What was unacceptable were the bugs. We saw a cockroach on our second night. We informed them and they had someone spray the next afternoon (we weren’t there so we never physically saw him) the next day, several more in the kitchen. I reached out to them again without any word or response. We ended up leaving a day early without room compensation. Would not recommend staying here until bugs properly handled.

Perfect week!

We loved our stay at Highland Carriage House! It started a couple weeks before we were set to arrive. I had an event come up that was going to force us to leave a day early. So I asked if it was possible to move our week back one day and stay Friday to Friday instead of Saturday to Saturday. They were so accommodating and made the switch for us. We really appreciated the flexibility on their end! The check in process was a breeze and we received a text around noon that our unit was ready! Once we arrived, it was exactly as pictured. The location was amazing! We absolutely loved having the bikes and used them multiple times a day! HCH was a short bike ride or walk to the beach or to any of the pools. Everyday we rode to Alys for coffee at Fonville Press and loved riding through all the neighborhoods. We appreciated the security at the beach entrances to help keep the crowds at bay making sure everyone had their key card for entry and exit. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was stocked although it could use a pair of kitchen scissors or a couple more sharp knives. I’m not a fan of cooking with stainless so that was a bit of a curve but there was one non stick pan to use. We did cook quite a bit as the restaurants are tricky to get into especially at dinner. We had everything we needed. I did ask for a few more hangers and they were delivered within 30 minutes. The grounds were spotless and we loved the home and the location. We didn’t use the garage because it was a bit of a pain to walk through the side door to open and close it. It would have been helpful to have an outdoor keypad, but not make or break. We can’t wait to return next year! Thanks for a memorable week!
