Large clean comfortable unit in a lovely neighborhood. Outside private area is added bonus as well as parking!! Host is awesome and very responsive!Returning guest.

Great stay!

Went with the family over Christmas. Great neighborhood - close to many great restaurants. Quiet area. Really enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor area.

Wonderful accommodations, clean and comfy on the inside. And, a very spacious and relaxing yard with jacuzzi. The pics and description are accurate, unit was well stocked. Added plus is parking space! Excellent and timely response from host! Hope to stay again!

Excellent stay

Wonderful experience from the very beginning. The host was quick to respond and communicated effectively. The apartment was updated, clean and had everything we needed. The yard was perfect as it was fenced in so our 2 year old could run around while we relaxed. The neighborhood (Hillcrest) was so nice and had plenty of unique restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. We would definitely stay again!

Awesome Basement Apartment in Large House

We visited for a long weekend for an SDSU graduation and loved the property. Most of our family stayed in the main house and 3 of us stayed in this apartment. We had adjoining yards. House was spotless and instructions clear. Hot tub was hot and clean! We also had a ping pong table, grill and table and chairs in the yard, plus two bikes! We really enjoyed our stay and the neighborhood. We would stay here again, especially for large family outings.

Nice Place

Good experience, although it should be emphasized that this is a basement unit in someone else's house. Also, they don't have "normal" cable so if you want to sit down and watch Sportscenter it's not happening. Overall, nice place.

Hi John, Im so happy to hear you loved the place. Wanted to clarify that the property is a historical building divided in 3 units, completely independent from each other with separate entrances and with it's own fenced outdoor spaces each one of them. Also yes there is premium cable, next time please always ask your hosts, we are always happy to help!

Hidden Oasis

This property was a blast to stay at. The personalized back yard was so much fun to hangout. The property is in a great location. You can walk to many good restaurants and coffee shops. A 30 minute walk even lands you at the zoo! The inside was very clean and felt like a home! Traveled with an infant and the provided pack and play was great! Overall, I would totally recommend this property! Added bonus to having one assigned parking spot as well!

Great location, and beautiful place!

We had a great time staying here. The location is amazing and close to many places. We loved the private outdoor area, which was so cozy and looks exactly as the pictures. Ricardo gave us great recommendations, would definitely stay here again.

Great Experience

My stay here was amazing. The house was just as described or perhaps even better. Kitchen had everything I needed to prepare my meals. My husky enjoyed the nice yard while I enjoyed the jacuzzi. Everything was beautiful and clean. Ricardo was very helpful. I was able to contact him right away when I lost the keys to the house. He was kind and understanding and was able assist with the situation in a timely manner.

fantastic getaway

Wonderful, pet-friendly property in Hillcrest. The space was immaculate and private backyard was serene. Property description was accurate. Very easy check-in process. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Will definitely stay again!

Loved our experience!

We loved our stay! My little one loved the garden area and it was a nice place to sit in the morning and drink our coffee and listen to the birds. We we’re so relaxed we almost forgot that we we’re in the city. We loved all the restaurants nearby- within walking distance. The homeowner was polite and held great communication. We had an issue with our hot tub and it was fixed the same day. The house was beautiful and the beds were cozy. Some amenities were provided by the owner, such as shampoo and conditioner, the kitchen was stocked with pots pans and spices. there were items that would make a trip to the beach a little more relaxing such as a cooler and beach chairs/towels. Our only complaint was that our upstairs neighbor was walking around at night and kept us up for a night. Whenever he would turn on a light it would turn on my sisters bedroom light and she was unable to sleep. Overall we didn’t feel like we had neighbors as everyone was quiet in the area and respectful. We really loved the area! Would stay again! ☺️

The perfect spot!

Absolutely adorable property right in the center of everything! We were able to walk to restaurants and some shopping around Hillcrest. Everywhere else we went was a short 10-15 minute Lyft ride! Centralized location was key! The backyard is quite relaxing and the scent that came from the orange blossoms on the orange tree were intoxicating! Communication with the property owner was amazing. Our friend that lives in San Diego was blown away by the property and kept going on and on about what a gem we had found! We had an incredible time and cannot wait to come back to our little oasis!

Good clean place. Close to th Beach and zoo. Just had one issue where water was turned for a short time but Rick was great in responding. Will come back again

Wonderful Stay

We had an excellent stay. Close to the zoo and easy drive to everything else we wanted to do. Clean! Nice neighborhood and lovely backyard to relax in. Thank you Rick for the use of your space.

Nice family weekend 🌞

We had a lovely weekend. The place was exactly like the photos and as described. Rick was quick to reply to our early questions and communicated very clearly. We came with a 5 year old and 3 year old and they loved the yard. We were a little worried on Friday night when the upstairs neighbors seemed to be dancing and playing techno music directly above us. Luckily, I brought a white noise machine for our kids. They slept right through it and the party quieted around 10:40pm which was a big relief. Our kids were sad to leave. We’ll definitely consider this great spot for future trips.

Paradise

Rick was wonderful. We had a little mishap with the key, but he came to our rescue and was so kind and patient. The property was beautiful and just as pictured. It was stocked with everything we could have possibly needed, including coffee and fluffy robes. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were luxurious, and the outdoor oasis was incredibly relaxing. We will definitely stay here when we return. Thank you so much!!

Beautiful Oasis in the Perfect Location

Wow what an amazing experience, place and location. Everything is great quality, from the linens, pillows and mattresses to the appliances and furniture. The yard is just espectacular, is fenced so the doggo was the happiest and my fiancé loved the tub. Having parking was perfect. We walked to amazing restaurants and shops and for grilling and cooking in the awesome kitchen all supermarkets are within 3 minutes including Whole Foods. Little Italy is minutes away, we went to the farmers market there and the Hillcrest one, both amazing. The ZOO is minutes away so as Balboa Park and gaslamp. Very relaxing, safe and quiet neighborhood, very nice people around. Totally recommended, this is not the first time I stay on one of The Zen Properties and won’t be the lat one, can’t wait to be back to any one of the properties, Rick, the manager is amazing to deal with, you won’t regret it. Thank you!!!!

Beautiful and relaxing oasis, in an amazing neighborhood

This property was beautifully designed, well-maintained, and so comfortable. We had such an incredibly relaxing weekend here with our kids (1 and 4), lounging in the yard, hanging out in the hot tub, taking walks in the gorgeous and historic neighborhood, and just watching movies from the king sized bed. There is an adorable Italian restaurant (Mia Trattoria) with delicious food just 2 short blocks away. We got take out from them 2 nights and enjoyed dinner in the property’s yard. Thank you for such a wonderful weekend for our family!

The Perfect Getaway

We loved staying in this tastefully appointed place and was especially impressed with the overall cleanliness of all the spaces. We enjoyed the private yard as an extension of the living area and appreciated the exclusive feeling it gave us. The villa is ideally located and we found it easy to navigate all our activities in San Diego. Rick is the most gracious host and incredibly responsive. He helped to make our stay "the perfect getaway!"
