Welcome to High Hope: A Serene Mountain Retreat at 4000 Feet on Winchester Creek

Nestled at 4000 feet on the side of a mountain, High Hope is a charming cabin that offers an escape you'll never want to leave. This 3BR/2BA retreat is perfectly suited for outdoor enthusiasts, whether you're a hiker eager to explore the trails or someone who simply wants to relax on the deck and enjoy the serene beauty of the surrounding woods, wildflowers, and the soothing sounds of Winchester Creek.

High Hope features a 3 bedroom, 2 bath layout with an inviting open floor plan. On the main level, you'll find two bedrooms, vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace for cozy evenings, and a spacious kitchen equipped with modern amenities including Wi-Fi, heating, a washer & dryer, and Smart Lock for convenient keyless entry. The primary suite boasts its own ensuite bathroom, and both bathrooms offer a tub/shower combo for relaxation after a long day of adventures.

The upstairs loft is a great hangout spot, featuring two single beds, a trundle bed, and a large 55" TV—ideal for movie nights or lounging. Open the windows to let in the fresh mountain air and the tranquil sounds of the nearby creek as you drift off to sleep.

Located just minutes from the Balsam entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, High Hope is conveniently close to mountain adventures, fine dining, shopping, and local breweries. The cabin is only 6 miles from downtown Waynesville and a 30-minute drive to Cherokee and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, placing countless activities and scenic spots at your doorstep. Make High Hope your next getaway destination and experience the beauty and tranquility of mountain living.

PETS: A well-behaved dog may be permitted by the owner, provided the dog is crated when left alone. We also require that dogs not be allowed on all beds and furniture nor scratching flooring and crated when left alone. Provided towels and linens are NOT for pet use, please be a responsible pet owner; pet owners who do not follow the rules are subject to additional cleaning fee. Respecting these guidelines enables us to continue to offer a home for pets and their families. A non-refundable pet fee of $150 is required prior to arrival. Prior approval is required to bring more than one dog and an additional pet fee will be required to be paid. We will request the additional monies after the reservation is confirmed.

The hot tub was the highest quality tub we've used at a rental, the pool table had conversion into a ping pong table (that we sadly didn't have time to use), and the space was enormous and wonderfully furnished. The view of the lake was phenomenal and it was a convenient drive to anything we needed. This unit sets the bar for all future visits.

The hosts were amazing, the house was perfect, the Lake was beautiful. Plenty of room for our group, and every amenity one could wish for. Any time we gad a question we had a reply within minutes. We all would highly recommend.

Summer gathering i the hills

Excellent location to get anywhere in Maggie Valley. The house is amazing with a wonderful view of the lake. We all enjoyed our stay.

Work retreat

Was a great place to stay with several other adults. We all had plenty of room to spread out as well as lots of great hang out options. Loved the multiple decks and the pool/pong pong table! Would definitely stay here again

This is the perfect house for a work group to stay

This was our 2nd year to stay at this house during the Western North Carolina Annual Conference. Our work staff rents this home, and it is perfect for a work group. It is spacious, and offers enough space for everyone to spread out and have some privacy when needed. But also has great areas for everyone to convene, eat, etc. We hope to make it 3 years in a row at next year's Annual Conference!

Beautiful Views

The house was great with beautiful views, several levels of porches. Space to spread out. The lake and the sidewalk around the lake was very scenic. Liked the convenience of Food Lion about 5 minutes away. Cooked a lot. Resort amenities are not included. There is not a sandy area with swimming in the lake. The pool was nice 10 per person per day. Pickle ball was the hit of the week and we brought our own paddles. Otherwise you can rent equipment. The mini golf needs a make over.

This is our second stay at Harmony Hilll and we are so glad we came. We did a weekend in October and a full week in June, and enjoyed both stays. Lots to do in the area and the home had plenty of space for our family to visit and hang out. Team members are amazing, friendly, and very helpful. As stated above, we had a few problems and their response was quick and they took care of everything, and followed up to make sure everything was okay.

I have said more than you needed to hear.

I have said more than you needed to hear. I understand that Rick is checking out other properties for our '22 event. Previously, I was told I would receive a refund for the Hot tub fee. I also feel there should be a reasonable reimbursement for the property not being as expected. Contacts relating to this visit was with Paula - she was very helpful and attempted to deal with our issues. I understand my son communicated with Rick Border - he was appreciative of Rick's concern and effort to help.

Great house and location

We enjoyed staying at this house. It is lovely; the decks and view are great. The location is very convenient to Maggie Valley and Waynesville.

Wonderful stay

Property was everything we expected and more - clean and spacious with a great view. Plenty of room for all 8 of us to enjoy. The only drawback was the steep driveway. You better make sure you are lined up properly before you start your decline because you can't see the driveway until you take that first drop.

Fantastic Family Getaway with beautiful view from deck!

We had a great family getaway at this home with plenty of room for multiple families. Beautiful views from the deck, nice walking path around the lake in friendly community.
