Overlooking green fields adjacent to the 18th century Carmel Mission and a beach beyond 'Tuckaway' studio features more than captivating views. Behind a Copper garden gate, through your private entrance is a bright quiet cozy retreat. This spotless eco-friendly studio has a comfy Queen Bed with Luxury Linens, "Life Source" Whole - House filtered water System, and is cleaned with organic products.

Tuckaway's hand-hewn hickory floors and oriental carpets are just some of the examples of our attention to detail.New Granite counters in kitchen & bath with all new fixtures & stone floor in bath.

Come and be enchanted in the landscaped gardens with covered sitting bench that are very private. The gardens include a lit fountain, Over 1,200 sq. ft. of Custom Inlaid Brick Patio with Ocean & Beach Views. Custom Wood/Gas Raised Brick Fire pit, Teak Lounges and a settee to enjoy in the sun or evenings with native plants and well placed low voltage lighting casting a special glow. Fenced in private yard for you and your pet!

Bill was an excellent host. The place was wonderful and is even better than the pictures reflect. The Tuckaway is cozy, well equipped and comfortable. The garden is absolutely stunning and smells fantastic. We can’t wait to return for another visit.

The tuckaway property was such a charming place to stay. The garden is spectacular and we enjoyed spending our evenings enjoying the incredible view. The host has done an excellent job of making the property seem very private and scenic. The studio was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The location can't be beat, we were very close to the downtown and many other amenities. Overall, we 100% recommend this property and look forward to staying here again.

Bill was very responsive and provided an overall walkthrough of the property, which answered any questions we would’ve had. The garden area was meticulously taken care of and the home was very clean. We had a great experience and will definitely be going back!

Outstanding Property. Bill met us on site, answered all our questions, and gave us a comprehensive tour. Lovely property, with a great view. We enjoyed two sunset fires on the back patio and Bill provided and built the firewood for each. Would highly recommend!

This place is a dream right in Carmel. Gorgeous views, spectacular outdoor area and landscaping make this the perfect place to stay. The amenities provided in the Tuckaway home far exceeded our expectations. The property is ultra private and just minutes away from beautiful downtown Carmel by the Sea. Finally, the owner is simply exceptional. The entire experience in working with him from booking to our stay could not have gone better. Highly recommend!!!

We loved our stay at this property! Bill has created a thoughtfully designed and functional space filled with unique decor. The nautical interior added charm and made our time in Carmel especially memorable. We particularly enjoyed the reclining couch, which was perfect for unwinding.The outdoor garden area is exceptional—beautifully curated and a great place to relax. We also appreciated Bill’s local recommendations, though we found ourselves just as happy spending time enjoying the beautiful space he’s created. We hope to return!Tip: It is possible to walk to town but heads up that the main road is a bit busy!

They must have forgotten that I told them about the Carmel Mission Trail Preserve Park that is only a few blocks from the Tuckaway. You can walk thru the park and be in downtown Carmel in about 20 minutes and the beach in about 25 minutes. Never having to be on a busy street!

Excellent stay, accommodations and location!

What a special place to retreat for a few days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Main points were location, solitude and privacy, lovely landscaping, quiet neighborhood and friendliness of the host. We will definitely be back!

Lovely stay on beautiful property

Bill accommodated our late arrival and was responsive and polite throughout our stay! The property is gorgeous and located perfectly for access to Carmel and Carmel Valley.

Bill was attentive and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the outside patio area and ocean view from the high top table and chairs. The home was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Downtown Carmel was very close, we went to Mission Ranch for dinner more than once, it is less than 5 minutes away. This was great for a long weekend stay for two people.

The Hardwood floors are of hand scraped Hickory Pecan & Walnut with oriental rugs,all new cabinets & light fixtures as well as a stacked Mieie Washer & Dryer.There is an Ocean view Custom Inlaid Brick Patio area with Teak coushion Chaise Lounges, great two person Hammocks as well as a Brick Gas/Wood burning fire Pit! There is also a designated off street parking space for the 'Tuckaway' All of this and close to Downtown Carmel-By-The-Sea!
