Overlooking green fields adjacent to the 18th century Carmel Mission and a beach beyond 'Tuckaway' studio features more than captivating views. Behind a Copper garden gate, through your private entrance is a bright quiet cozy retreat. This spotless eco-friendly studio has a comfy Queen Bed with Luxury Linens, "Life Source" Whole - House filtered water System, and is cleaned with organic products.

Tuckaway's hand-hewn hickory floors and oriental carpets are just some of the examples of our attention to detail.New Granite counters in kitchen & bath with all new fixtures & stone floor in bath.

Come and be enchanted in the landscaped gardens with covered sitting bench that are very private. The gardens include a lit fountain, Over 1,200 sq. ft. of Custom Inlaid Brick Patio with Ocean & Beach Views. Custom Wood/Gas Raised Brick Fire pit, Teak Lounges and a settee to enjoy in the sun or evenings with native plants and well placed low voltage lighting casting a special glow. Fenced in private yard for you and your pet!

We loved our stay at this property! Bill has created a thoughtfully designed and functional space filled with unique decor. The nautical interior added charm and made our time in Carmel especially memorable. We particularly enjoyed the reclining couch, which was perfect for unwinding.The outdoor garden area is exceptional—beautifully curated and a great place to relax. We also appreciated Bill’s local recommendations, though we found ourselves just as happy spending time enjoying the beautiful space he’s created. We hope to return!Tip: It is possible to walk to town but heads up that the main road is a bit busy!

They must have forgotten that I told them about the Carmel Mission Trail Preserve Park that is only a few blocks from the Tuckaway. You can walk thru the park and be in downtown Carmel in about 20 minutes and the beach in about 25 minutes. Never having to be on a busy street!

The most unique, dog friendly place in Carmel. The outdoor space is beyond what the pictures show.

Bill was attentive and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the outside patio area and ocean view from the high top table and chairs. The home was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Downtown Carmel was very close, we went to Mission Ranch for dinner more than once, it is less than 5 minutes away. This was great for a long weekend stay for two people.

Excellent stay, accommodations and location!

What a special place to retreat for a few days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Main points were location, solitude and privacy, lovely landscaping, quiet neighborhood and friendliness of the host. We will definitely be back!

Lovely stay on beautiful property

Bill accommodated our late arrival and was responsive and polite throughout our stay! The property is gorgeous and located perfectly for access to Carmel and Carmel Valley.
