This awesome house features 2 queen beds, 1 bunk bed (with twin over full), 2 bathrooms with a bathtub and shower, and a cozy living room with an extra queen bed. Guests can enjoy fully stocked kitchen, great outdoor spaces, washing machine/drier, fully stocked linens, and Wi-Fi during their stay. Parking for up to 3 vehicles! Two small dogs allowed. Sisters weekend! John was a great host! Love that it is dog friendly, love that there were four beds so we could all have our own bed!Walking distance (if you’re a walker) to everything!

Thanks for your stay Kari. We provide the appropriate amount of towels and washcloths, etc. to get your stay started off on the right foot. There’s a washer and dryer that can be used at any time. We provide laundry soap for extended days.

Great place in Carmel by the Sea

We had a great time staying at John’s place with another couple. Property is spacious, comfortable and clean. We were able to walk to everything from the property.

The house was perfect for our stay in Carmel. The bunk beds were great for the kids and it was very spacious. It was walking distance to the mission and town and the beach and was centrally located to everything we needed. The only tricky part was finding it since we came in the night but once we did we had a great time. The kitchen was tight but it had everything we needed. The stars were wonderful in the back and out front at night and it was very quiet. It was a clean and the bathroooms were updted. Overall great location.

House was fine, Carmel is amazing. We were out exploring most of the time. Used kitchen mostly for breakfast, had everything you might need. Enjoyed a puzzle with grandson, thanks!

Super convenient location with the grocery store right down the street and we even walked 15 minutes to dinner in Carmel one night. A little tight for six adult guys, but it was car week so we were on the go most of the day everyday anyways and it got the job done!

Spacious and comfortable cabin with a quaint cottage vibe! We enjoyed an easy 8-10 minute walk to the beach and 4 minute drive to a nice supermarket and nearby restaurant. Downtown is more like a 10 minute drive and parking is very challenging. Carmel is POPULAR. The neighborhood is very quiet, and traffic is fairly slow, though the driveway is in a rather blind curve in the road. We walked to town a couple of times, but that's a 20-30 minute walk and remember, Carmel has narrow streets and no sidewalks -- part of it's charm! But I would not walk back from town after dark, because the streets have uneven asphalt curbs that become hard to see. John, the owner was helpful and very quick to respond to our needs. I hope he has provided a microwave since we visited, because that was a definite inconvenience, but otherwise the kitchen is cute and well appointed. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and outside decks plus a small gas fire table and comfortable outside seating is a real plus. We had rented a Grand Wagoneer for our trip and it was too big for the parking area, making coming and going a bit hazardous, trying to back up and pull out, as opposed to backing in to traffic with limited sight clearance. But a small to midsize car should have plenty of room and do just fine. Overall, I would recommend and might even return, but definitely in a smaller vehicle. The owner was great and as stated, quickly responded to every need. I'd give him 5 stars.

Golden Stay

We enjoyed our stay in this cute home. Location made it easy to bike, run, or walk the short distance down to the beach. Tiny kitchen was very well equipped with the basics to prepare and enjoy a meal. (LOTS of bright lemon themed items.) This is a lovely old Carmel home, but it has been updated and the bathrooms are current and clean with great lighting and water pressure (downside, bathrooms located inside bedrooms). Check In/Out seamless and easy. Although the home is located along a well traveled street that heads in to town, the neighborhood is quiet and there is no traffic at night. Slept great with room darkening shades, too! Suggestions: 1. install a dimmer for the large light fixture in the living room. 2. Provide 2 keys. It was a great stay!

House was good for money, about the only house in Carmel we could afford. Location is fine. We were able to walk to downtown shops and beach. Communication with host was excellent. Beds were comfortable. Only major drawback: had to walk through bedrooms to get to bathrooms. No microwave.
