We loved our stay. Great location, beautiful views. We loved the animals and the quiet. Our kids read all the children’s books and more. So much character and history in this home as well. Thanks for a great stay!

Magical property that was so well appointed with everything we needed. The hosts are immediately responsive. The eight of us had a fabulous week hiking, walking on the beach and lots of wine tasting! We will be back!

The house was more than we could have hoped for, a fabulous home base for our Carmel/Monterey/Big Sur adventures. We had an older family member with some mobility issues and the one-floor living made everything so easy. Even with mobility issues they were able to join the rest of us and enjoy the decks and gorgeous views since the railings were so well placed. It was so relaxing to watch the horses and cattle as they grazed, with the ocean in the background, we could have spent hours out there. We also loved the easy walk/drive to Point Lobos State Park and were happy to find that some of the paths there are ADA compliant and wheelchairs are available so we were all able to enjoy the Nature Reserve. All of that combined with easy access to super markets, shops and restaurants made it a standout vacation for us.

The Acorn was the perfect place to gather with our 3-generational family. Plenty of room to enjoy each other and the spectacular ocean views, animals and wildlife. We walked across the street to Pt Lobos State Park for exceptional hikes and to play on Monastery Beach. We cooked several delicious meals in the generously stocked kitchen. And slept great in the comfy beds. Mark responded quickly to a minor concern.

Lovely home on a hill with beautiful views of Monterey Bay across a rolling pasture with photogenic and friendly horses. Everywhere you look a picture. Very convenient dog yard, securely fenced and with a chair to watch your dog roam freely while admiring the view. The setting is unbeatable. The home and guest house easily accommodate a crowd. Big flatscreen TVs dotted around and a cupboard full of games and puzzles. Close to everything you could need, as well as all the area attractions. I’m very impressed.

We were blown away with how awesome the home was! Location, all of the cool things about the home itself, the view,-just everything!! It was so easy to get to so many locations that we wanted to visit--the beach, Carmel, Monterey, etc. We LOVED it, and would go back in a minute!

Perfect place for a family vacation

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Acorn. This incredible home is thoughtfully designed to accommodate guests. The setting is beautiful and unique within walking distance to Point Lobos State Park.

This trip was well beyond our highest expectations. The home is gorgeous and very comfortable! Fantastic views from almost every room. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking and baking. The location is spectacular, being within a quick walk to Point Lobos State Park and beach. The happy surprise was that the horse pasture butts right up to the deck of the house so we had friendly visits from two beautiful horses, close enough to pat and scratch them!

Lovely Stay

This is a lovely interesting home that was perfect for a multi generational family gathering. There were so many amenities, from a well supplied kitchen to fireplaces. The location is every bit as good as the pictures.

Great ranch house for a large group of friends

Unique old ranch, very well equipped, with horse, cows and turkeys walking around for a peaceful feeling and lots of fire places for group nights. Being across from Point Lobos Park a huge plus. Our group of 8 loved it.

Beautiful spring getaway

We spent 5 days at the Acorn Ranch with extended family exploring point Lobos and the Big Sur area. The property is gorgeous, spacious, well stocked, and has amazing views from multiple rooms. We saw a lot of wildlife on the property as we relaxed at the home. It is the perfect base to explore the area. Highly recommended!
