Amazing all around. The house is full of activities if you can take your eyes off the incredible view. Very clean. Everything had a place and instructions were very clear. We will be back!

With a view from Heaven this home gives you a chance to escape the grind of everyday life. The home is not only very private and well stocked with the items you need to make delicious dinners but close enough to town to eat out. The surrounding area is pure country with neighbors far enough away for privacy yet close enough to say high when you're out for a walk. Would highly recommend!!

Gorgeous view from the top floor. Property was easy to access, but still felt remote. Kitchen had everything you could want or need to cook a great Thanksgiving meal. Owners were great and worked to make our stay peaceful and restful.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The cabin was cozy, beautifully maintained, and the views were stunning. My husband took advantage of the nearby hiking trails, the kids loved having their own space, and I enjoyed some much-needed relaxation with my books. It was the perfect getaway for our family. We can’t wait to come back!

Wedding vacation

Stayed with some friends and our pups while in town for a wedding. Pictures did not do the house justice as we were all amazed upon arrival. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We loved everything about our stay! The house is beautiful, comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, living room spacious for a big group. Great location with beautiful views. We will be back next year!

This was our second stay at this beautiful home, and somehow it was even better than the first. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the most breathtaking mountain views, whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee, relaxing on the couch, or watching the sunset light up the sky, it never gets old.The home itself is the perfect mix of cozy and spacious. It was incredibly clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. We especially loved the large windows and deck area, such a peaceful place to unwind and take in the scenery.Our family had the best time here, from relaxing inside to exploring nearby and just enjoying being together. Even our pup felt right at home! It’s clear the owners put a lot of care into making this a comfortable and welcoming space.One thing to note, our older daughter was still able to get Uber Eats deliveries, which was a nice surprise in such a mountain location. With some road closures during our stay, deliveries and travel took a little longer, but everything still worked out just fine.We’re already talking about coming back again, this has officially become one of our favorite getaway spots. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and truly relaxing stay!

Mountain Breezes

The house was perfect for us to enjoy the views and morning breezes, then close to the campground where we hung out for the day with family, then back to the cabin for a hot soak and good nights rest. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked and the beds were very comfortable!

Another beautiful stay

We stay here once a year and explore the many Mt. Mitchell/Black Mountain trails. It never disappoints. Beautiful home, beautiful views and great hosts!

Wonderful Cabin!

The view and location is amazing! The cabin was spacious and provided plenty of space for two families with teenagers. Great vacation! We’ll be back.

Beautiful views

Lovely home with a great view and great location for water fall hikes, mountain biking and driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen amply stocked with the basics and nice cookware. Plenty of room at the house and a great fire pit nearby. Loved our stay.

Fabulous family friendly cabin with long range views

We rented cabin as a base cabin for the Hellbender 100 ultra! The cabin had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable! The views were the best part. We would definitely stay again.

One our best vacations ever!

We had an amazing time for our family trip with me, my husband, and our 3 adult daughters and their spouses! The Troutmans were fabulous to work with and immediately answered any questions we had when making the reservations and for our trip. The house was meticulously clean, very comfortable (the beds were terrific), supplied with everything we needed, and plenty big that everyone could spread out and have their own space. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic Stay

This is an amazing property. The hosts have thought of absolutely everything from the beautiful, comfortable furnishings to the extensively stocked kitchen. Check in/check out was incredibly easy. The views from the back deck are impressive. We are already looking forward to planning another visit in the future!

Fantastic Mountain Home

We had a great time at this fantastic property. The views were amazing and the covered porch was our favorite place to hang out. It was clean and very comfortably set up. We all enjoyed relaxing at this amazing location. We especially enjoyed the hummingbirds that would buzz around every day We hope to come back next summer!
