We wanted a place to escape and chill and we found out! The hosts are great! The view is incredible (fall must be amazing!). The TV is perfect for binge watching on rainy days. Great hiking trails, falls, river spots, etc within a few minutes. Heads up … the Green Knob trail is a serious fun workout but the only decent view of Mitchel is at the top of the steps of the Fire Tower. I imaging the trail over to the overlook on the BRP gives some great views back towards Old Fort/Asheville but we didn’t head over there.

We had a great stay this weekend! The house was exactly as described, even better in person. It was clean, comfortable, and had amazing views. The location was perfect.What really stood out was how thoughtful and responsive the owner was. They checked in to make sure we were happy with everything and even texted us local food recommendations.Overall, it was a smooth and relaxing stay, and we’d definitely come back again!

Great home Great view

Nice place worked well for two families, the hot tub was great. This home was clean and looked well taken care of, great for a weekend getaway.

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday here with family from different states. The kitchen was great for cooking large meals and had everything we needed. The family room downstairs was great for card and board games, and the TV is huge. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms for the ten of us. My avid outdoorsman son was easily able to find local trails for hiking. The cabin was secluded with amazing views! The hosts were so kind and easy to communicate with. We were very pleased with our stay.

Home away from home

My friend & I were hiking all day long -- I wish we could’ve relaxed and enjoyed all of the amenities of their beautiful home. highly recommend & will be back one day again.

Family vacation

We had a great time. The house is beautiful and the view is incredible. There was plenty to do and the house had everything we needed. The hosts were easily available if we had any questions.

Quest for the Crest event

Our stay was outstanding. We participated in an event which hubbed out of Alberts lodge. The location was perfect. The house was a comfortable oasis. The views were amazing. Two thumbs up!

When we got up to the property, we didn't really know what to expect. It was more spectacular than we could have imagined. The drive up the steep driveway was a little intimidating, but with high risk comes high reward. The view was breathtaking. I would have liked to seen a clear night on our stay to see the stars, but mother nature had other ideas. My advice to future travelers is to plan your outings accordingly. If you want solitude, this is the place for it. It takes a while to reach any stores in town (Burnsville, Spruce Pine) for anything. Luckily there are a couple of convenience stores up Hwy 80 to get any necessities, but plan to stay in and get the most from the experience when you can.The owners were very accessible and answered any questions via text within several minutes. Any discrepancies between the listing and the property were not a big deal. Anything you can think of not having when arriving, chances are they have it (such as kitchen tools).5/5 Excellent stay and worth revisiting!

Beautiful home with incredible views

Loved the home and views, Very clean and comfortable. We had 2 couples, 3 single adults, and 3 children (14, 8 and 1 1/2). Plenty of room and personal space. Fantastic communication with the owners and zero issues or complications. Would definitely stay again.
