February fun

This was a great house for us. We have family in the Des Moines area and it is a half way spot for me to see my daughter who moved to Arkansas. Every February we meet and stay with family. This year our family has grown so we rented a home for our own space. It was perfect.

Guys Trip

Four guys stayed for an Iowa State football game. 45 minutes from Jack Trice Stadium. Worked out nice.

Fantastic Weekend

We were in town for the Iowa St game and everything went perfectly. Iowa St beat Baylor to stay undefeated and the property was terrific for our small group of 6. We were even allowed to have our miniature GoldenDoodle stay as well. Joy was easy to get ahold of if we had any questions and the house was very clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself. Thank you so much for everything!

Family Get Together

Central location to meet family for a weekend in Des Moines. Large house, well stocked and clean as advertised. Great neighborhood and surrounding walkability to park. Would stay again!

Almost like home

We returned to Iowa to visit family, friends, and our old stomping grounds - as advertised, this ranch was very convenient in location and layout. We had a wonderful stay, might even bring more of the family next time because there is plenty of room.

Comfortable stay, good neighborhood

Great peaceful neighborhood. Lots of people/families walking. My kids left the door of our vehicle open all night without us noticing and nothing was disturbed. Home was comfortable and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and kitchen was decently stocked for us to make all our meals. Had zero issues during our 5 night stay. Would definitely stay again!

Nice house, great location!

Great location and communication with owner. We have 2 small dogs that travelled with us, so the "pet friendly" listing and fenced-in back yard very necessary. Not quite sure microfiber sofa is pet-friendly, but backyard access was great. There's a park a couple of blocks away that we used for early morning walks...super nice! Quiet neighborhood deeply appreciated. Gas, coffee, groceries, etc., all close by. Interior ould use some updating, but kitchen well stocked and necessary paper goods all well at hand as well. We had to take our trash to the container in the park as the two dumpsters supplied were full when we arrived on Thursday, and Wednesday was the pick-up day...not sure what happened there. All in all, this house worked out well for our family reunion and we had a great time! Thank you!

Fun family reunion in Urbandale

This property was perfect for 3 couples, one with 2 small children. The fenced yard was helpful, and the 3 year old had a blast with the stomp rockets in the finished basement. We did bring a baby gate which helped with the 1 year old as there is no door to the basement. It was a perfect space for visiting. There is a small neighborhood park within a short walking distance. Overall we were very pleased as it is not far from family in Urbandale. Communication with the owners was very fast and appreciated.

nice, adequate place

This property was clean and had enough room for 7 adults. The furniture in the bedrooms was a bit dated but adequate except that there was only a dresser in one bedroom. It would be helpful if there were at least a suitcase stand in the smaller bedrooms. and some clothes hangers for all the closets. Otherwise, it was a great place in a quiet neighborhood.

Beautiful Home

This home was wonderful for a family of six! Bedrooms, bathrooms, living room and kitchen were all well maintained, clean, and spacious for people to sleep, eat, and play! Very easy to communicate and gain access from the host. Overall an amazing home that I will rent again the next time I’m in Des Moines!

9 people total to stay in one house for state wrestling. Nearby son could also visit. Great time, close to venue.

Family Thanksgiving

This was a great place to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with our family. Great neighborhood. Lots of space for our big family. The arrival of snow last night added to the feel of the holidays. We will put it on our list of favorites.

Nice house-well equipped & good location.

Nice cute clean house in good neighborhood with driveway parking. Close to lots of things. House well equipped with everything we needed—extra towels, hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, coffee, laundry detergent, spices, etc. Responsive owner when I emailed her with questions prior to arrival. Only negative was small barky dog next door & mowed thistles in yard which hurt our dog’s feet. Overall nice & would stay again.

Stayed for a couple of days. Dogs loved the park across the street and the nice back yard! Located close to everything in we needed. Furnished with all necessities.

Great stay

We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for my four friends and me. It was a nice quiet neighborhood and the house was clean and comfortable. We did have a little trouble with getting Netflix to work but the owner was very helpful and offered to come and get it working for us. It was late so we decided that we don’t need to watch tv anyway. The owner, Joy, was very easy to work with. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations.
