Gravenstein Getaway- Sebastopol

The Gravenstein Getaway is a perfect place for spending a long weekend with family and friends. This property has been in our family for over 50 years. Built in 1943, this newly renovated house sits on a private fenced acre surrounded by fruit trees. It’s within walking distance to town, a short drive to the beautiful vineyards of Sonoma County or the stunning beaches of Bodega Bay. This fully furnished two-bedroom, one-bath house comes with a fully equipped kitchen with everything you’ll need to make your stay enjoyable.

A hammock hangs for those lazy days of doing nothing. You can relax and dine on the spacious deck. There is a patio table and BBQ for anytime you have the desire to grill. For those trips to the beach, there's an outdoor shower to rinse off a fun day in the sand. A basketball hoop and balls are also on the property for shooting some hoops.

Sebastopol stay

We stayed for five nights, very quiet and private location, easy walking access to the town of Sebastopol. The house was spotless, beautiful deck and kitchen renovation, everything we could ask for! Lisa was very friendly, gave us a few tips for places to visit in the area, a text of phone call away and responded immediately! All in all an exceptional visit, would be happy to visit again!

Relaxing retreat

We had a wonderful work/vacation. We could’ve sat on the porch and watched birds the whole time it is so peaceful here. Clean, amazing kitchen, kindest of hosts- we look forward to returning:)

A Little Piece of Sonoma County Heaven

Beautiful home!

What a beautiful home that's conveniently located near local grocery stores and restaurants. Lisa is a fantastic host and takes great care of the house to make sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. The home is well stocked and looks even better than the photos. If you're considering a good dog friendly place to stay while in Sonoma county, look no further!

Beautiful property and great location

This was our 2nd stay here and we absolutely love it. The property is private, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It is close to downtown Sebastopol and an easy drive to the coast, Santa Rosa, and many Sonoma wineries. Our dog loved exploring the completely fenced-in property. Lisa is very easy to work with and does all she can to provide anything you might need. We look forward to our next stay.

Perfect home

Thank you Lisa. This home was exactly what we were looking for. Our dog loved having all the outdoor space to run around. The home had everything and more that we needed. Snacks, toiletries, cooking supplies/spices, comfy bed and fruits from the tree! We look forward to returning.

Beautiful country home in Sebastopol

The property is very comfortable, clean and inviting. The owner, Lisa, met us when we arrived and answered all our questions. She was a pleasure to work with. The property is close to downtown Sebastopol, but in the country with beautiful views. The house itself is is decorated in a farmhouse style with a great well-stocked kitchen. The house is on a fenced-in acre that our dog loved to explore. We greatly enjoyed our stay here.

Perfect In Every Way

My husband and I just spent 2 weeks at Gravenstein Getaway and loved everything about our stay. The home was super clean and comfortable in so many ways. The most comfortable bed, a gorgeous sun filled deck and overall, the home was welcoming and had everything we needed for our stay. Lisa and Bob have clearly put a lot of thought and love into preparing their home for guests and were responsive to any questions we had. We sat on the deck and watched the hummingbirds come and go. A truly spectacular site and a perfect stay!

Everything about our stay was great. Lisa met us when we arrived and went over the particulars of the property. We have been renting VRBO units for many years and this property was the cleanest, most comfortable one that we have had the pleasure of using. Beds are very comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. 5+ stars for the Graveinstein Getaway!

We stayed in Lisa's lovely VRBO over Thanksgiving and couldn't have asked for more. The house is adorable and comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, the outdoor deck/BBQ fantastic. It is located on ~1 acre of lovingly cared for gardens and trees. Our pupster was with us and she had a great time in the fenced in yard. Lisa is a gem, very helpful and genuinely interested in having her guests enjoy their time in Sebastopol. The house is close to town, wine tasting venues, restaurants the Sonoma Coast, and many other fun spots to visit and explore. We have already reserved for Thanksgiving 2023!

Cheers to this wine country stay!

We stayed at the Sebastopol house for a special girls trip to wine country and it was perfect for our group of 4! The location is easy to access and makes a great home base for exploring both Sonoma and Napa--we drove a lot, but the views are beautiful and the paths were easy. The town of Sebastopol is very charming and nearby to the house with restaurants, bars, and shops -- definitely check out the Barlow district. The property itself is wonderfully appointed -- kitchen with everything you might need, bathroom with fluffy towels and travel size necessities, and the beds were the most comfortable any of us have ever experienced at a rental home. Lisa greeted us with all the details we needed and was easily accessible during our stay. When we come back to Wine Country, we'll try to stay here again!

This is our second time to stay at Gravenstein Getaway and love it as much or even more than first time. Lisa is a great hostess. She has decorated and stocked the home with anything you might need to make your stay enjoyable. The home is located in a great area for easy access to downtown, beach, wineries, and great restaurants. Hate our month stay has come to an end but we will be back.

Peaceful retreat yet close to town!

Couldn’t have had a more perfect place for a few days! The cottage was lovely- so inviting, comfortable & thoughtfully decorated. Lisa met us & gave a quick tour/history, some local info, etc. She is super friendly & thinks of everything that would make your stay exceptional. Sebastopol is amazing- an active town w rural feel too. We’re familiar w the area just hadn’t spent significant time in S. It’s close to anything you might want to do- coast, wineries, visit quaint postage stamp towns. We’d love to return for another stay down the road!

Beautiful property!

This was our second time at Lisa’s property and it was a wonderful stay. She is a wonderful host, very responsive and so helpful when we had questions. Her property is one of our favorite vacation rentals. The house and grounds are beautiful, the environment is peaceful and is close in proximity to many amazing Sonoma County venues and locations. Our daughter asked if we could buy the property!

The best of west county

Cozy cottage

Felt like home the moment we walked into Gravenstein Getaway. Lisa thought of every little detail. Great location to tiown and beach. Kitchen has everything you need to cook a wonderful meal. We love trying all the great restaurants in and around area. Cant wait to return next year.
