We had a great stay! We loved the location right on the water! The house was clean, and communication with the owner was excellent! We didn’t have any issues and would gladly stay here again!

We had a great family trip. The location on the sound with a private dock was awesome. The views were great and we even enjoyed the hottub.

The best!

We absolutely LOVED fishing every day. Hot tub was fun. The view from the top deck was just aamzing. I would 100% stay here again!

Great get away

Quiet and tucked away. Property was well maintained and clean. Cozy place away from all hustle and bustle of the beach.

Pleasant stay

We enjoyed our time at Colington Island. The home worked well for us with the elevator and easy channel access. Home is well kept and owner is very responsive.

We were pleased to stay again. The crabbing was better in June, but that's normal from what I have read. Always beautiful views and pleasurable wildlife. Very attentive host. Hoping to return in 2026.

Absolutely STUNNING! This property is so much better than the pictures and description! We were wowed on every level! The house was super clean, bedrooms very, very spacious, the beds extremely comfortable, great lighting, AMAZING views, expansive kitchen with so many extras! Out host though of it all and then some! We have stayed in many homes in OBX. This one is the BEST! Melanie was so easy to communicate with and with great detail! I appreciated her rapid response time as well! The community the home is located in has been a family favorite for over 15 years. It’s a hidden gem on the sound. It’s quiet and peaceful! Thank you so much,Melanie for being such an excellent host!

Long weekend stay

We booked this only a couple of months before our stay. We enjoyed the house, it was right on the canal. If we were staying longer, we would have brought our kayaks. We would stay here again. The owner was very responsive to our messages.

Family vacation

Property was just like described. Neighbors are really nice. House was clean and very spacious. Would rent this again in the future if available next time we go to the beach.

Great Vacaion House

We enjoyed our stay. The house was located near many of the places we wished to visit and provided the feeling of a quiet neighborhood. The house was comfortable and suitable to our needs. It was what we expected from the description. The host was helpful when we had a question.

Great Vacation Place

The house was extremely clean and well taken care of. It had lots to offer - multiple decks to relax on, loved the deck swing, hot tub, bar/hangout area in back of the garage, enclosed patio area, fishing from the dock, etc etc. Beautiful inside and out!!!!! Owners were very responsive and attentive.

Sound Side Luxury

This property was just what I was looking for to have family experience OBX. We were able to enjoy the sound, crabbing and peace of the beach area without the crowds. The owners promptly communicated and the home was very clean.

We enjoyed our time here and especially enjoyed crabbing and watching the Osprey parents feed their babies in the nest across the harbor! The elevator was a blessing for my handicapped husband. We hope to return in the fall.

Wonderful house with plenty of room for everyone. Beds were very comfortable. The community was great with the water views. We never knew this area was back on the bay side. The bottom level and the hot tub area were really nice and a pleasant surprise! With the gloomy weather we could still enjoy the hot tub since it was enclosed. Communication was great with the owner.

We rented this home for our anniversary weekend and it was the perfect getaway for just the two of us. The private dock made fishing so convenient—we spent hours out there fishing and enjoying the peace and quiet. Coming back to soak in the hot tub at night was pure bliss. The house itself was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. Everything felt taken care of, which made the weekend stress-free and romantic. We’d happily return for another special occasion. Thank you for helping make our anniversary memorable!

My family had a great time

We were very happy staying here. While it's a ~10min.+ drive to the beach (and to anything, really), being on the sound front more than makes up for it! The house is situated at a quiet and beautiful part of the canal. The property was clean and just as advertised. The owner was very accommodating for a special request we made, and even offered early check-in, which we appreciated. The house was spacious for our family of eight. I would certainly recommend and stay again.

Nice house and we had a blast. I was disappointed that sheets and towels weren't included. Also, no blankets offered with bedding.

The property was very nice and very clean. They did not provide sheets which made it difficult because we had to bring three different sizes of sheets, requiring us to buy a king set. Otherwise everything was well stocked. The fishing was tertible and everyone said that no one

Spring Break in OBX

The house was perfect for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and the kitchen was clean- very important since we cooked in most days. We picked up fresh fish from one of the local markets several times, and the BBQ grill worked well. The lower floor/game and hottub area was great. The property had lots of extras too- some beach equipment, board games and cards, as well as spices in the spice rack. The laundry facility was definitely a bonus, since we were here for a full week. Great time!!! Thanks.

Beautiful home!

This home was so quiet and convenient for our long weekend. Beds were super comfortable! Kitchen had tons of dishes and cook ware, and made it super easy to fix dinners. Kids loved the hot tub since the ocean was a cold. Elevator was a huge bonus as I have mobility issues, and the main living area was on the third floor. View from the decks was amazing! Our only issue (easily rectified) was that we didn’t realize that soap and toilet paper would not be provided, which meant I had to go back out to purchase some. In all, we had an amazing vacation, and would definitely stay here again.
