Easy access situated on the lower level adjacent to the Magic Sands Beach. Unit is tiled, has a fully stocked kitchen, ceiling fans and a flat screen TV. Beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, beach towels and snorkeling gear are provided for your enjoyment.

Host did a great job with communication and the many amenities provided. The beach bag was the best to have with on any beach day excursion to keep stuff dry and sand free. The condo had everything we needed and boy, what a view and to listen to the ocean! The stars overhead at night are not to be missed on those really clear nights!

We had a wonderful stay at this vacation rental. Falling asleep to the sound of ocean waves and waking up to that incredible view was truly unforgettable—absolutely the highlight of our trip. The location is fantastic and made it easy to relax and enjoy everything the area has to offer. While the property could benefit from a deeper clean in some areas, it didn’t take away from an overall great experience. We would happily stay here again for the views, the atmosphere, and the unbeatable location.

the view and ocean waves were great, so relaxing and enjoyable. just what I needed. Having the restaurant and beach right next door was a plus. One future I really appreciated was a beautiful area to smoke. thank you so much for a wonderful time. Highly recommend this little oasis of life.

Stay at Kona White Sands

I love the little condo by the sea. The slider doors open to a fantastic view of the ocean and the sound of the waves. It was peaceful and quiet. I had everything I needed in the condo. Yet the beach and restaurants were just a short walk away. However, I could prepare myself a good meal in the condo and I and watch the sun go down. It was a wonderful day.

Incredible spot!

This place is comfy, cute and in a great central location! The hosts were very helpful and responsive. We made breakfast, coffee and listened to the waves every morning. We used the snorkel and beach gear which was so convenient. If you love the ocean, this is the perfect place to stay! We will absolutely be back!

We enjoyed our Trip. Condo has everything you"ll need. Beautifully located. Saw Whales, A turtle, lots of snorkelers The restaurant at the .site was delish. there's also a hut that serves Breakfast burritos.That were amazing. I would highly recommend this property. we hope to return in the future

Great place!

Our review echos the other recent reviews of Magic Sands #111. Two of us stayed here in mid-September, 2024. Very positive experience. Magical being so close to the ocean and fantastic location overall. Nothing weird around the property with homeless people that people said they experienced during the pandemic. Property was really quiet overall (except for the wonderful wave noise). Definitely recommend.

Magic Moments at Magic Sands

This was our 15th trip to the islands. My son and wife together with our two grandchildren moved to Hilo. They came over one weekend and swam in the pool. We went on a whale watch cruise. We saw whale out in the front of the condo along with a lot of dolphins. Later that week we saw turtles and a monk seal at Kekaha Kai Beach. The property is centrally located to everything. Great shopping and restaurants. We took in a number of happy hours but we always came back to see the amazing sunsets. Magic Sands Condos will always be our go to stay on the Big Island. Thanks Mary.

Excellent!

We stayed here the week before Thanksgiving, 2024. We loved it! Perfect location for a Kona home base. The bed and pull-out sofa were both comfortable. The fans kept us comfortable at night. The chairs, cooler, umbrella, boogie boards, and snorkel gear were all very useful during our stay. Magic Sands Beach must be one of the most fun beaches on the planet. Everyone is there to enjoy and play in the water. Decent snorkeling right behind the unit, and good snorkeling off the point to the left of Magic Sands beach. Magics restaurant in the building is delicious with stunning views and a very nice atmosphere. We found this condo to be one of the best values for our needs, anywhere across the Hawaiian islands. You would be hard-pressed to find a better value, especially if you want convenient access to play in the surf. Mahalo

Relaxing stay at Magic Sands

My teenage daughter and I had an amazing time at Magic Sands. The condo is a cute, one room mini-apartment with kitchen. The building is quiet and laundry room was cheap & convenient. There is no air conditioning so the room was hot during the day, but we were off being tourists and didn’t care! In the evening we’d open the patio door to let the ocean breeze cool the room along with using the fans to sleep at night. Hearing the ocean waves while going to bed was magical! We didn’t use the kitchen except the fridge. We used the awesome beach chairs and umbrella- they were so great to use! We enjoyed relaxing at Magic Sands beach and watching the boogie boarders and surfers. Magic Sands is conveniently located just south of all the touristy bars/restaurants- just a couple mile drive to some great spots! We definitely recommend staying here! Mary was a great communicator too. Thank you!

A wonderful place to stay

We spent 11 days here in February 2023. Adult son slept on the pull out couch which worked fine. We can't say enough good things about this place. Excellent location. We loved the sound of the waves day and night. Drinking our morning coffee looking out on the ocean was a wonderful way to start the day. The condo is well stocked with everything one needs, plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, coolers, lots of hangers and big closet area, lots of dishes and plenty of pots and pans in the kitchen with full sized fridge. Lots of fans in the condo kept it cool. It was fine not having an air conditioner. We had one runner and one walker in the group and we loved the walking/running designated lanes on Alii Dr. The owners were prompt and helpful in their communication. The property manager, Lori was kind and helpful with suggestions and tended to some minor maintenance issues that happened very quickly. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back sometime.

A Great Little Place To Stay

This was one of the most affordable places I could locate in Kona, and I am not sure why it wasn't more. For me, it was just what I wanted/needed. But let me explain my trip a bit more to help you understand why: Most days I was out the door by 6:00 a.m. I wanted to get places to hike, visit, learn, and explore, and do it before places got crowded. I planned a couple months before my trip and knew where I was going, what time I would arrive, depart, etc. Most days I was back between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. - just in time for the sunset each day! I never felt it was uncomfortable even when I was there during the hottest part of the day. It wasn't 68 degrees, but growing up in the hot Kentucky Summers we didn't have air conditioning until I went to college. So that the condo might be in the high 70's for a few hours in the afternoon was not an issue for me. It cooled down quickly with the fans, and would be in the 60's at night. It had everything I needed and more! Since I was on the go so much I honestly did not cook. I never ran out of hot water taking a shower. The bed and furniture was comfortable to sleep and sit on. It was clean and in good condition. When I go back to Kona again, this little unit will be my first choice of places to stay!

Excellent communication with hosts, nice studio condo- humble but in a great location, the ocean is RIGHT THERE! It’s well equipped for cooking in (no oven), soooo appreciative of the beach chairs, umbrella, and coolers (and there are fins and masks and toys we didn’t use)No AC, ocean can be loud- especially with a storm brewing! Bathroom needs better lighting and ventilation- and a magnifying mirror- I left mine there!And those roosters have to be relocated- 4am wake up is ridiculous. And earplugs don’t work, they are nested right outside the door! Dark out drapes would be nice, but the wood blinds are pretty; they don’t block the light. Between the roosters and the light, no sleeping in! The pool was really nice-clean Salt water pool-ahhhhh- and having beach towels on site was great. Magics (the restaurant onsite) is absolutely fantastic!! Also- having a parking space is awesome!! The place feels like Dino and Frankie are just around the corner!! Retro groovy! We had a great time.

I will give 7 star to the location. Next door is Beach, park and restaurant. We show dolphins from our room in the morning and for two days in a row. Room is good for 3 person. Host were nice and had good communication through out. Price was right compare to other properties or resort. I will definitely recommend this place for stay in kona. Thanks.

We live on another island in Washington State called Vashon Island. We have long time friends that moved from Washington State to Kona. It took one visit for us to decide to buy a condo in Kona. We feel in love with the ocean, smell of the flowers, the many beaches to visit, the volcano, many places to hike and explore. Our son was in middle school when we purchased. We had many fun spring break vacations with him He is now a senior in college so our time spent over in Kona has decreased. We still think it is a magical island. So much to do, you'll need to return year after year!

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

The water front ocean view is so breathtaking. You can watch it and never tire of it. The sunsets are amazing. Waiting for the sun to go down with a cold beverage, nothing better! Sometimes the sun will go into clouds on the horizon but you get some awesome sunsets too. The condo is small but cozy. The waves can be loud when sleeping but you get used to it after a night or so.

We think the most unique benefit is Magic Sands Beach. You can just walk over to take a quick swim, no driving and trying to find a place to park is huge! You can take the beach chairs & umbrella provided to spend the day too. It's a great place to watch the locals boogie board when the waves are too much for the beginner boogie board person.
